2 -Michael Starcevich earned his third save of the season at Lindenwood. With his third save Starcevich now ranks first in the OVC for saves. Starcevich also moved into the EIU top 10 in saves with nine in his career at EIU. -After the series against Ole Miss, the Panthers will travel to Itta Benna, Ms. to take on Mississippi Valley in a two game mid week series. -The Eastern Illinois baseball team will travel to Ole Miss for a three game series this weekend. Ole Miss enters the weekend sporting a 12-1 record. -Due to inclement weather on Saturday, the series at Ole Miss will now feature a double-header on friday. The series is set to begin Friday at 3 p.m with the twinbill., and will conclude on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Chase Cockrell leads the Ole Miss offense so far in Cockrell is currently hitting.478 going 11- for-23 with 18 total bases, seven runs, four RBIs, four doubles, two walks, and a home run.
