8 Arizona Spring Break Trip - V/JV Departure: Sunday, March 25th approx 7 am (arrival Sunday evening) Return: Saturday, March 31st, early morning (Depart Friday late afternoon) Accommodations: Double Tree - Phoenix North (Formerly the Radisson) ** We may have 1 or 2 extra rooms for parents. Deadline Feb 16th. $199 Q/Q Varsity Schedule: practice Monday, Tues/Wed 1 pm at Greenway HS, scrimmage Thursday, Fri 10 am at Peoria HS JV Schedule: practice Monday, scrimmage Thurs, games tba

10 King Soopers Cards 5% of card sales is returned to EHS Baseball Boosters. This is a great source of revenue for the ballclub - just by buying groceries! It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball. It took one afternoon on the golf course. Hank Aaron

11 Field Improvements/Projects MAJOR PROJECTS completed since spring 2017 Bleacher platform (behind home plate) redone Replaced the knee wall behind home plate Right Field fence replaced Installed new facia boards, both dugouts Repaired chain link fence on-field batting cage, enclosed small area COUGAR halo Installed a 10 swing gate in LCF Built a garden behind Cougar dugout with irrigation How can you think and hit at the same time? 12 Installed a high volume hose connection behind pitcher s mound Built out a batting tunnel (net) 14 x 55 under the garage door overhang at the school Built a new roof on our field dirt storage box Installed a 4 x 8 fundraising signage board General clean-up and painting; landscaping Purchased and assembled 3 on-field protective screens

13 2018 Projects Finish the new Home Plate Turf Halo. Cut concrete pad, glue down turf, dirt work, escort contractors Three Batting Tee Stations. Hang three 3 x 4 rubber mats (Big R) on the field batting cage chain-link fencing down the LF foul line. Set 3 turf mats (Hiwan). Two Stationary On-Field Protective Bullpen Screens. Poles are already set. Need to construct two swing pipe frames; order HD black pillow style nets. On-field aluminium Storage Shed Garage Door. Need to find a service provider that will donate a new garage door. The old one is worn and dented.
