3 LEADING OFF vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans vs. Winston-Salem Dash Probable Pitching Rotation April Myrtle Beach - Torrez, Blackburn, Skulina, Tseng Winston-Salem -Fry, Leyer, Bucciferro, Heidenreich *as of 4/15/15 James Dykstra threw a seven inning no-no on Wednesday in Potomac. DYKSTRA DOMINATES In the fi rst game of their April 15th doubleheader at Potomac, RHP James Dykstra fi red the 15th no-hitter in Winston-Salem history. Dykstra s seven-inning gem is the fi rst Winston-Salem nono since Levi Maxwell accomplished the feat on June 19, 2009, at Wilmington, which was also a twin bill opener. Dykstra did not allow a ball to reach the outfi eld in his sterling eff ort, during which he needed just 71 pitches. He allowed just one man to reach thanks to a walk against Rafael Bautista to begin the fourth. However, Dykstra picked off Bautista before he threw his next pitch. Dykstra recorded the other 20 outs via 14 groundouts, three strikeouts, two popouts and a lineout. ROSTER FEATURES FAMILIAR FACES Eighteen players who have seen time with the Dash in the past are on the club s 2015 Opening Day roster. Winston-Salem s infi eld features four the White Sox s Top 30 prospects, according to MLB.com, headed by third baseman Trey Michalczewski (No. 8). The Dash s outfi eld features their No. 20 prospect, Adam Engel and 2011 supplemental fi rst round pick Keenyn Walker. On the mound, Matt Heidenreich represented the Dash as the starting pitcher in the 2012 California-Carolina League All- Star Game at BB&T Ballpark and he returns to Winston-Salem this season. Despite all the familiarity on the fi eld, new manager Tim Esmay heads the Dash in 2015, his fi rst season in professional baseball. Winton-Salem Natives To Star For Dash The Dash s Opening Day roster has a bit of a local fl air, as Robert B. Glenn High School products and Winston-Salem natives CJ Beatty and Chris Jacobs will start the 2015 season with their hometown team. Beatty, an outfi elder, became the fi rst Winston-Salem native to suit up for the Dash when he joined the club last August. Jacobs joined the Sox after the Dodgers released him this off season. The infi elder climbed as high as Double-A during his eight seasons in the Los Angeles organization. LEADING OFF 1
