FAST START: The last time the Cubs won their seasonopening series was 2004 when Iowa took three out of four against New Orleans at Principal Park. The Cubs are one of three teams in the PCL to start the season 3-1. The other two are division rivals Nashville and Memphis. OFFENSIVE MINDED: The Cubs collected 57 hits over the four-game series at Round Rock and lead the league with a.363 team batting average through the first weekend of play. The total includes 35 extra-base hits, including a league-best 18 doubles. Bobby Scales leads the league with six doubles, including at least one in each game. He set a career-high with 33 doubles last season for Iowa. Lou Montanez leads the league with 10 hits and leads the team with eight RBI.
