8 General Information / Helpful Hints 1. There will be a MANDATORY Team Manager Meeting on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1:00pm (ET) at Chaires-Capitola Community Center (located at the park entrance). At this meeting the tournament format, schedule, and rules will be discussed. If you have any questions about this tournament get them asked and answered at this meeting. Coin toss for Home/Visitor will be held during this meeting. 2. The following will be reviewed at the above meeting or before your first game Team Affidavits and supporting paperwork Medical Release Forms 3. Games will be played in accordance with Tournament Rules 4. Umpires will check all equipment prior to each game faulty equipment will be removed and will not be allowed to be used. 5. Pitching Affidavits will be filled out completely following each game. The Manager is responsible to assure the Affidavits are accurate. 6. Teams should arrive at least one (1) hour prior to the scheduled game start time. 7. Team Warm-Up areas are provided. No hitting balls against the fences. 8. Teams must pick up trash in dugout before vacating. 9. NO COOLERS are allowed inside the park (with the exception that the team may have a cooler in the dugout with drinks, wet towels, etc). 10. The use of tobacco and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Smoking is allowed only in the designated areas No Exceptions. 11. Obscene language or harassment by anyone will not be tolerated. Offenders will be ejected from the park. Revision date: 6/15/2016 Page 8

9 12. Use of batting cages and pitching cages are allowed if resource is available at field and approved by tournament director. 13. Lineup cards must be in the format, LAST NAME, First Initial (i.e. SMITH, J), and must include player uniform number and starting positions. 14. Soft toss into a popup net is permitted. Net must be used in the designated warm up area and batted balls must in a direction not facing pedestrian traffic. Batters must wear helmets. 15. Soft toss without a popup net is permitted but is restricted to plastic whiffle balls or equivalent. See the tournament director for approval prior to soft toss event. Batters must wear helmets. 16. As a reminder: a. No adult may warm up a pitcher. b. Player catchers warming up pitchers must wear a catcher s mask with dangling throat guard. c. Managers and coaches must wear closed toe shoes and are not permitted to wear cleats. 17. The TEAM ROSTER CARD form at the end of this document should be filled out and brought to the Managers/Coaches meeting.
