2 The Smithville Herald, Smithville s oldest business, is one of several newspapers published by NPG Newspapers, Inc., in the greater Kansas City area. The 2,000+ circulation weekly has been providing local community, education, government and sports news for 125 years. The Smithville Herald also publishes the annual Lake Pilot guide to recreation, hunting and fishing at Smithville Lake. The Smithville Herald is part of NPG's highly regarded group of newspapers published in the Northland of Kansas City. 4 Lara Stanze, the President of Spread A Little Joy Foundation and one of our Chamber Members, has been given the honor of being a top three finalist in the USA Ocean Spray "Sunsational" Person contest. Here foundation is a Smithville based non-profit whose purpose is to grant wishes for adults with terminal illnesses. PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT HER AND HELP HER WIN!!! The voting will begin on the Ocean Spray Facebook page and their youtube channel from July The winner will be announced on July 27.
