2 V. ARREST STATSTCS The Honorable Brad Halpern April 5, 217. NOTEWORTHY NCDENTS Three burglary incidents were reported in the 57 block of Corsa Avenue. The three storage units possibly had their locks cut and then replaced by another lock. Property taken consisted of drum sets, toys, keyboard, snowboard, TV, skis/poles and audio control compressor. No suspect(s) seen or heard. ( , 1483, 1674) A resident of Ojai was arrested by the Oxnard Police Department for possession of stolen property that was taken during a theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 321 block of Beachfront Lane. The suspect was also in possession of stolen property from a theft from an unlocked vehicle that occurred in the Thousand Oaks area and was driving a vehicle stolen from the jurisdiction of the Ventura Police Department. ( ) Four incidents of vehicle burglary were reported in the 39 block of Russell Ranch Road during the same date and time frames. The vehicles rear windows were smashed to gain entry. Property taken consisted of laptops, bags and a backpack. There were eight similar incidents that occurred during the same date and time frames in the city of Agoura Hills in the 287 block of Roadside, 289 block of Canwood, 292 block of Agoura Road and the area of Cornell Road and Agoura Road. 13 LOST HLLS JUVENLE NTERVENTON UNT ACTVTY REPORT FOR MARCH 217 WESTLAKE VLLAGE A. SCHOOL SSUES Responded to White Oak Elementary re: irate parent. No interventions were held this month. B. NTERVENTONS C. COMMUNTY CRMNAL SSUES 1. We conducted a monthly parental resource class at Lost Hills Sheriff's Station. This program was developed by our unit and is designed to educate parents about: 1) The current trends in juvenile behavior and delinquency, 2) Alcohol/narcotic awareness and recognition, 3) School policy and campus issues, 4) Gang awareness and negative peer relations, 5) Parental rights and responsibilities and, 6) Parental responses to incorrigible and/or delinquent behavior. We also address the specific concerns relating to the minor's behavior. We educate the minor and their parents of possible criminal behavior and the legal consequences. We offer suggestions and make recommendations to improve the minor's quality of life. 2. Spoke with numerous citizens and parents who called to question various juvenile concerns and issues in the community. We also provide the parents with various juvenile resource programs within our community. 3. We met with the Sylmar Juvenile Court District Attorney regarding the investigation and filing of criminal charges against juvenile offenders. 4. Met with Captain Pat Davoren throughout the month in order to keep him up to date regarding our units investigations and current juvenile issues within our city. 5. Entered juveniles into the Juvenile Automated ndex system for various violations. 6. Made court appearances to testify as witnesses on the part of the People of the State of California and attended court proceedings in cases generated from the City of Westlake Village. We also investigated, prepared, and filed cases with the District Attorney's office. We additionally assisted other investigators in the preparation of cases for court. 7. Met with station narcotics detectives on a regular basis to exchange information regarding juvenile and drug related issues. We have worked with the narcotic detectives on several narcotic cases directly and indirectly involving juveniles.

Handled the processing and follow-up of various juvenile referrals brought to the attention of this unit (i.e., Juvenile nformation Forms, Field nterview Cards, Juvenile Automated ndex, and citations for various juvenile contacts with uniform personnel). 9. Conducted our normal checks of juvenile problem areas in the city during weekend evenings and responded to juvenile related calls for service. 1. Updated the Gang Book and briefed the captain on criminal activity trends. 11. nvestigated 7 allegation of child abuse. 12. Registered 2 sexual predators and conducted 1 home check. 13. Participated in a Reality Party with Engage. 14. Attended 24 hours of sex registrant training. 15. Presented Cyber Safety to all grades at Lindero Canyon. 16. Participated in Choices for first time drug offenders.
