2 United Way of South Mississippi is fired up for the 2017 Gulf Coast Dragon Boat Festival on April 29th, and we want you and 20 team members to get on board! At 2016 s inaugural festival, we had over 400 paddlers, more than 25 local organizations represented and raised over $37,000 for Early Education! But that s just the beginning! This year we want to turn up the heat and make it an even bigger success! Dragon boat racing provides you and your team members with a unique team-building experience that is one of the fastest growing alternative sports in the nation. Teams are made up of 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and a boatload of fun! The boats are 46-feet long and will go as fast as you can paddle, so get your team together and make sure you don t miss out on the fun! In this packet you ll find a variety of different ways for your group to support United Way of South Mississippi and our 2017 Gulf Coast Dragon Boat Festival fundraiser. Every dollar raised goes directly to making the Coast s tomorrows better today, so dive in and join us on April 29th at The Dock Bar & Grill on Gulfport Lake for the Coast s hottest event on water!
