4 SOKOL/SOKOLICE WINTER Gymnastics Update 4 in her hours means she will not be able to continue coaching in the New Year. We will miss her and gymnasts Hayli and Braylin Donald. Wow has 2015 flown by! It seems we just started and here it is the New Year. We began class on September 23. In October this year, for the first time, we participated in the Central District Track & Field competition. We did this remotely - doing the high jump, standing and running long jump, basketball throw and 40 yard dash at the Norway House - and sending the results to Chicago. We were astonished by how well our students did but held them in suspense until out Christmas Party when we passed out arm loads of medals and ribbons. We say goodbye to Coach Jamie. Photo by Marija Obradovic After a 2 week holiday recess we resume classes on January 6th and will get back to gymnastics skills and learning our routines for competition. It will be nice to get back in the gym and work some kinks out. Children Displaying their Track & Field Awards. On October 28th we had had our Halloween Party with a special guest appearance by Jim Hron who was warmly received by the children who he used to coach. Then came November and a mad rush to perfect our Folk Fair routine. Out young gymnasts represented Milwaukee Sokol at the Young Peoples Showcase and made us proud. Judging by the applause the audience agreed with our assessment. The end of the year brought good news but a also a little sadness. Coach Jamie Donald received a promotion (Congratulations!) however the change
