1 DIE SIMMENTALER/SIMBRA BEESTELERSGENOOTSKAP VAN SUIDELIKE AFRIKA 2018 SIMMENTALER SKOUKLASSE AMPTELIKE STATUS (aanstelling van beoordelaars en amptelike katalogus) ONDERWORPE AAN MINIMUM 50 DIERE ALGEMENE INLIGTING (Die volgende moet in pryslys gepubliseer word) Ingevolge verskeie Simposiums-besluite MOET die middel-van-die-pad beleid deur beoordelaars toegepas word. Die fisiese meet van diere met n meetstok om kruishoogte te bepaal, word vervang met teeltwaardes vir Volwasse Gewig en 600 dae. Die afsnydatum vir ouderdom word deur die skou vasgestel. REËLS 1. GROEPE 1.1. Die naam van die moeder (klas 1) en vader (klasse 2 tot 4) MOET op die voorgeskrewe inskrywingsvorm verstrek word (VORM B) Siende dat die teling van n dier, en nie die vertoner, by afstammelingklasse beoordeel word, mag n vertoner een dier vir klasse 1 tot 4 leen Slegs diere wat in individuele klasse ingeskryf is, mag aan groepklasse deelneem. 2. VROULIKE DIERE 2.1. n Koei in melk is n koei wat minder as 301 dae in laktasie is. (Raads Jul 2005) 2.2. n Koei wat langer as 15 maande gelede gekalf het word nie toegelaat om geskou te word nie. N.v.t. op koeie wat gespoel is nie. (Spoelings voor eerste of na laaste kalwing word nie in berekening gebring nie). Maksimum van drie (3) spoelings word toegelaat waarvoor 56 dae per spoeling krediet aan koei gegee word. (Raadsvergadering 8/2010) 2.3. Die aangehegte kalwingsvorm moet vir alle dragtige koeie en dragtige verse voltooi word n Vers wat nie voor of op 39 maande kalf nie, word nie toegelaat om te skou nie Ingevolge die Telersgenootskap se Konstitusie is beoordelaars verplig om reproduksiedata van diere in ag te neem en moet die volgende duidelik op ringkaarte van vroulike diere aangebring word: Onder 4 jaar: Ouderdom en getal kalwings Bo 4 jaar: Ouderdom en Simdeks (Simdekspenalisasie vir diere wat onder twee jaar gekalf het) Alle vroulike diere wat op skouveilings aangebied word, moet ook in individuele klasse geskou word Beoordelaars moet deur die Ringgids aan die begin van n klas attent gemaak word op uiterstes (grootste 5% van ras) in 600 dae en/of MCW. Die beoordelaar gebruik sy eie diskressie in die toepassing van hierdie reël. (Simposium en jaarvergadering besluite) 3. BULLE 3.1. Beoordelaars is gevra (Simposium) om te diskrimineer teen bulle met geen of swakste 5% persentiel teeltwaardes vir geboortegewig en/of speengewig en sal attent gemaak word op sodanige bulle deur die Ringgids Alle bulle, 12 maande en ouer, moet met n neusring vertoon word Alle bulle wat op skouveilings aangebied word, moet ook in individuele klasse geskou word.

2 4. KLEREDRAG 4.1. Hanteerders mag slegs met die Simmentaler skoudrag bestaande uit n olyfgroen hemp met Simmentaler op linkermou geborduur, kakiebroek, groen skoupet, wit waterskoene en groen Simmentaler bib, in die skouring verskyn. Skoudrag, behalwe waterskoene, is vanaf die kantoor verkrygbaar Simmentaler wit halters verpligtend n Hanteerder wat nie met die voorgeskrewe kleredrag in die ring verskyn nie, sal versoek word om die ring te verlaat. n Ander hanteerder, met die korrekte kleredrag, kan sy plek inneem Diere wat nie met die korrekte halter in die ring ingebring word nie, sal uit die ring verwyder word. 5. JAARLIKSE TOEKENNINGS (Alleenlik amptelike skoue) 5.1. Klasse 5 en 6 tel vir die WENSIM UIERKLAS Beste Uier van die Jaar toekenning indien ten minste vyf (5) koeie per klas vertoon word. U hoef nie in te skryf nie word by skou ingeskryf Klas 13 tel vir die Superkoei van die Jaar toekenning indien ten minste vyf (5) koeie vertoon word Skoubul van die Jaar toekenning: Amptelike skoue alleenlik (50 en meer inskrywings); bulle met agt (8) en meer nageslag op die skou; individuele klasse met ses (6) en meer inskrywings in die klas; groepklasse met drie (3) en meer inskrywings in die klas. Onttrekkings word nie in berekening gebring nie. KLASSE NOTA AAN SKOU: Die klasnommers mag verander word, maar nie die volgorde nie. GROEPKLASSE Voltooi VORM B 1. Moederafstammelingsgroep: Twee kal-wers enige geslag ouer as 9 maande van n koei wat nie in hierdie klas vertoon word nie. 2. Vaderafstammelingsgroep van drie dogters oor 9 maande. 3. Vaderafstammelingsgroep van drie seuns oor 9 maande. 4. Vaderafstammelingsgroep bestaande uit twee dogters (oor 9 maande) en twee seuns (oor 9 maande). VROULIKE KLASSE Voltooi VORM A + Kalwingsvorm waar van toepassing 5. Senior koei (oor 3 jaar) in melk en beste uier. Inskrywings tydens skou indien dier ook by klas 7, 9 of 11 ingeskryf is. 6. Junior koei (onder 3 jaar) in melk met beste uier. Inskrywings tydens skou indien dier ook by klas 14, 16 of 18 ingeskryf is. 7. Koei in melk: 6 jaar en ouer 8. Koei droog: 6 jaar en ouer 9. Koei in melk: 4 6 jaar 10. Koei droog: 4 6 jaar 11. Koei in melk: 3 4 jaar 12. Koei droog: 3 4 jaar 13. SUPERKOEI VAN DIE SKOU (Indien minimum van 5 koeie by skou). Beoordeling geskied op grond van Simdeks (70%) en voorkoms (30%). Alle koeie met drie (3) en meer kalwings wat deur die beoordelaars gepunt word, word in berekening gebring. Beoordelaars word versoek om in groot klasse meer as die gewone ses plasings vir dié klas punt. Beoordeling geskied op grond van voorkoms (50%) en teelwaardes (50%). Nie nodig om in te skryf nie - inskrywings word tydens skou gedoen. 35. Face C Prestasietoetsklas bulle 12 tot 24 maande. Inskrywings tydens skou en onderhewig aan Interrasklasse. Groot & Reserwe Groot (uit Jnr & Res Jnr Kamp, Snr & Res Snr Kamp) BLUP Kampioen (Klas 34) Fase C (Klas 35) PUNTE MEESTE PUNTE per VERTONER (Kampioene tel nie): Groepe, Bulle, Vroulik & Algeheel Die plek wat die dier staan in sy/haar groep en individuele klasse moet vermenigvuldig word met die aantal groepe in die groepklas en aantal diere in die individuele klas. 7 THE SIMMENTALER/SIMBRA CATTLE BREEDERS SOCIETY OF SOUTHERN AFRICA 2018 SIMMENTALER SHOW CLASSES OFFICIAL STATUS (appointment of judges and official catalogue) SUBJECT TO MINIMUM 50 ANIMALS GENERAL INFORMATION (The following must be published in the price list) In accordance to several Symposium-decisions the middle-of-the-road policy MUST be applied by the judges. The physical measurement of animals for rump height will be replaced with the breeding values for mature cow weight EBV and 600 days. Age of animal (cutoff date) is determined by the Show Society. RULES 1. GROUPS 1.1. The name of the dam (class 1) and sire (classes 2 to 4) MUST be completed on the enclosed application form (FORM B) Seeing that the breeding of an animal and not the exhibitor is judged in progeny classes, an exhibitor is permitted to borrow one animal for classes 2 to Only animals entered into individual classes may participate in group classes. 2. FEMALES 2.1. A cow in milk is a cow that has been in lactation less than 301 days. (Council Jul 2005) 2.2. A cow which has calved more than 15 months ago will not be allowed to be showed. This is not applicable to cows that were flushed. (Flushings before first or after last calving will not be taken into account). A maximum of three (3) flushings will be allowed to which credit of 56 days per flushing will be granted to the cow. (Council 8/2010) 2.3. The enclosed calving form must be completed for all pregnant cows and pregnant heifers A heifer that doesn t calve on or before 39 months, will not be allowed to show In terms of the Society s Constitution, judges are compelled to take reproduction data of animals into account. Data must be clearly entered on the ring cards of females: Under 4 years: Age and number of calvings Over 4 years: Age and Simdex (Simdexpenalisation for animals that have calved under two years) All females on offer at show auctions, must also be showed in individual classes Judges must be made aware by the ring steward at the beginning of each class of any extremes (highest 5% of breed) in 600 days and/or MCW. The Judge is allowed to use his own discretion in applying this rule. (Symposium and annual meeting decisions) 3. BULLS 3.1. Judges are requested (Symposium) to discriminate against bulls who fall into category 5% weakest percentile EBV for birth and/or weaning weight. Judges will be informed of this by the ring steward at the onset of judging of relevant class All bulls, 12 months and older, must be showed with a nose ring All bulls on offer at show auctions, must also be showed in individual classes.

8 4. DRESS CODE 4.1. Handlers may only appear in the ring with the Simmentaler show dress consisting of an olive-green shirt with Simmentaler embroidered on the left sleeve, khaki pants, green show cap, white water boots and green Simmentaler bib. All show dress, except water boots, are available from the office Simmentaler white halters compulsory A handler that appears in the ring without the prescribed dress code, will be asked to leave the ring. A second handler with the correct clothing can take his place Animals that are brought into the ring with the incorrect halter, will be removed from the ring. 2. ANNUAL AWARDS (Only for official shows) 2.1. Classes 5 and 6 count toward the WENSIM UDDER CLASS Best Udder of the Year award if at least five (5) cows per class have been showed. You don t have to enter entries are done at the show Class 13 counts toward the Super Cow of the Year award if at least five (5) cows have been showed in this class Show Bull of the Year Award: Official shows only (50 and more entries); bulls with eight (8) and more progeny at the show; individual classes with six (6) and more entries per class; group classes with three (3) and more entries per class; Withdrawals are not taken into account. In larger classes, judges are requested to score more than the usual six placings for this class. The BLUP champion and his runner up, 200 days breeding value must be higher than the breed average.
