Omdat daar vanjaar geen vullens was nie het ons toe maar besluit om die geleentheid te gebruik om ons merries te leer werk. Ons het iemand gekry wat vir 2 weke by ons kom bly het en hulle baie mooi geleer het. Ons het ook met die Percheron kruisperde op Pretoria skou gaan deelneem, en is baie trots op n derde plek in die Working Hunter klas met Bosmar Flamba en ruiter Christi Boshoff. The conformation of the stallion and the mare was discussed with specific reference to what exactly a judge looks for in the show ring. The French Percheron judge, Mr Michel Paris. with his son showed the correct turnout for showing the Percheron. Michele Paris showed how to prepare the wool and what type and thickness of wool to use. This French Tradition of turning out the Percheron horse for a show is more than 100 years old. Different colours may represent different studs. At the end of a jam -packed course all sat down to a lunch and wine sponsored by the Summerwind Stud. The course ended with the usual formalities.
