ENTRY DEADLINE Entries, Forms and Fees must be submitted electronically and postmarked no later than Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST Late Fees: As stated in Appendix C, per Technical Rule CP 5.6.1, any entry to a National Championship received between 21 and 7 days prior to the first day of the competition shall pay late fees. Each athlete entered between 21 and 7 days prior to the first day of competition shall be assessed a $25.00 late entry fee for the first event and an additional $10.00 late entry fee for each additional event entered. If a qualifying event is held after the entry deadline for this competition, a provisional entry must be submitted according to the above deadline. Within 72 hours of the completion of the qualifying competition, the proof of qualification must be submitted by phone and in writing to the V.P. of Competitive Operations (Sheila McNabb).

Submit fees online or via check made payable to USA Synchro. Any swimmer who is listed as an alternate for a routine and who is not swimming any other routine event shall pay the entry fee. (Rulebook, Appendix C). Foreign Federations do not need to pay the entry fee. Sponsor Fee $25 per competitor. Submit fees online or via check made payable to USA Synchro. Spectator $10 per day or $30 for an event pass for adults; $5 per day or $15 for an event pass for children 5 Tickets to 12 years of age. Championship $5.00 each Program Credentials ATTACHMENTS All coaches and judges need to register online even if free credentials are included with their team registration. Each club will receive coach credentials per chart below. In addition, each club will receive 2 team personnel credentials. Additional credentials are $30 each. If a Zone qualifier elects not to compete in the U.S. National Championship, the next highest ranked Solo, Duet or Team from the most recent Senior Zone Championship shall become eligible to enter the U.S. National Championship. For notification responsibilities, see Rule CP 5.4. Each Zone may qualify one additional entry for each routine it places in the finals at the previous U.S. National Championship. The top eight (8) Solos, Duets and Teams, including Exhibition routines, in the most recent U.S. Collegiate Championship Preliminary Event are also qualified. All Senior competitors will compete in both technical and free events. FREE COMBINATION There is no qualifying score for the Free Combination events. Competitors for the EVENTS Free Combination events must be years of age and be from the same club. Competitors for the Junior Free Combination events must be years of age and be from the same club. Competitors for the Senior Free Combination events must be 15 and over years of age and can be from two or more clubs. The name of a multiple club entry must not reflect a particular club. Competitors from the U.S. National and U.S. Junior Championships may be combined (within the same club) for the Junior/ Senior Free Combination event. Competitors who are 13 and 14 years of age may participate in the Junior/ Senior Combination Event. All Free Combination routines must have 8 10 competitors. The top 12 Free Combination routines from the Preliminary competition shall qualify for the final competition. If there are fewer than 13 Free Combination entries, Preliminaries may be waived and the competition conducted as Finals only. COMBO AWARDS Athletes who place 1-3 in the Free Combination final competition shall be awarded medals. Free Combination DOES count toward the High Point (individual and team) and All-American awards. If a Free Combination has both Junior and Senior competitors, the team must designate to the Scoring Chair, if the routine is to count toward Senior or Junior team high points by 4pm April 6, Foreign Competitors shall receive honorary placements, and if finishing in the top 12, shall swim in Finals and receive honorary awards. Foreign competitors shall not be eligible to be preswimmer(s). CP For the U.S. National Championship, competitors will receive points from the Free Combination event toward the High Point (individual or team) or All-American awards. To qualify for Team points, a Free Combination routine must have at least 1 competitor participating in other U.S. National Championship events. To qualify for Individual points, a competitor must participate in at least 1 other U.S. National Championship event. CP For the U.S. Junior Championship, competitors will receive points from the Free Combination event toward the High Point team awards. To qualify for Team points, a Free Combination routine must have at least 1 competitor participating in other U.S. Junior Championship events. SENIOR AWARDS Athletes who place 1-3 in the combined Technical and Final Free events shall be awarded medals in each event. Medals shall be given to reserves who swim either the Preliminary or Final Technical routine or Preliminary or Final Free routine. Foreign Competitors shall receive honorary placements, and if finishing in the top 12, shall swim in Finals and receive honorary awards. Foreign competitors shall not be eligible to be preswimmer(s). JUNIOR AWARDS Athletes who place 1-3 in FINALS for solo, duet and team events shall be awarded medals in each event. Athletes who place 1-3 in FIGURES shall be awarded medals. CP If 5 or less routines will be eliminated. CP At the discretion of the Vice President Competitive Operations or appointed representative and/or Meet Referee.

Tickets are $10 per day or $30 for an event pass for adults and $5 per day or $15 for an event pass for children 5 to 12 years of age. Everyone 5 yrs. of age and older must purchase a ticket. PARKING SOUND/ MUSIC SCORING Free parking in the school/ aquatic center parking lot. We will be using digital music for this competition. Colorado Time Systems SynchroMM scoring program will be used. Judges will award scores for Execution, Artistic Impression and Difficulty in free routines. Judges will award scores for Execution, Impression and Elements for technical routines. Send questions regarding scoring to the V.P. of Competitive Operations (Sheila McNabb). Please indicate provisional routines on entry and notify Sheila when qualifying event has been completed. CCP Level 3 Required for all coaches to be on deck at any National Championship (excluding the U.S. Collegiate Championship and the U.S. Masters Championship). SafeSport Required for all coaches to be on deck at any competition. Registered coaches will be verified and those holding the required certifications will be granted credentials. See final schedule for time. All parents, athletes and coaches are invited. VENUE RULES Coaches and Officials will have a Complimentary hospitality area in the aquatic center classroom. All Teams coolers must be kept in the team area behind the bleachers. (grass area) All Team tents must be in team area. (grass area behind the bleachers) No staking. All tents must be weighted down. No beach umbrellas permitted. Glass containers of any kind are not allowed on the grounds of the facility. Food Truck Concessions will be available each day and include healthy snacks, fruit, and a variety of beverages and meals. No tents or beach umbrellas permitted in the facility by spectators. Additional chairs will be available for coaches, if needed, during warm-ups. There will be a designated gelling and de-gelling area in the grass area. Please gel only in this area. There is no gelling or de-gelling permitted in the locker rooms. There is a $100 fine for each infraction. De-gelling in the pool or in the locker rooms is a $100 fine. Swimmers and spectators shall obey lifeguards at all times. PHOTO/ VIDEO REGULATIONS Any photographs, videotape or other audio and/or visual recordings of the event created by a spectator may be used solely for such spectator's personal non-commercial use, and may not be broadcast, published or disseminated, or used for any commercial purposes, without the prior written consent of U.S. Synchronized Swimming. Personal use photography will be allowed by the audience, from the stands as long as not obstructing the view of others, with any camera using no flash. There will be a designated area for one person per team to video routines. MIGZ PHOTOGRAPHY We are pleased to announce that Migz Photography will be at U.S. Nationals to take both posed pictures and action shots that will be available for purchase. LIVE WEB STREAMING PERSONAL GREETINGS While it's not always possible to make it to an event in person, the good news is TakeItLive provides free LIVE coverage for anyone wanting to watch and be a part of the event. In addition to tuning in LIVE, On-Demand video is available via our website. We highly encourage friends and family to take advantage of our options to purchase a digital download. Appendix B: DIGITAL MUSIC SUBMISSION GUIDELINES DIGITAL MUSIC SUBMISSION Digital music files (MP3, M4A) are to be submitted for routines for this competition. music to Chris Leahy at leahycm@gmail.com by March 15, 2016 Music files may be sent as attachments or shared using a file sharing/ transfer service. o Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc. Files received before the deadline will be transferred from s to a computer, and then imported to itunes or a compatible program and each file tested to ensure it plays. You will not be contacted if your music is submitted on time and if the music is correct. You will only be contacted if your music is missing or will not play. We recommend submitting 160 kbit/s M4A or higher quality audio for best sound results. 128 kbit/s MP3s are NOT recommended, if sending MP3 files, please ensure they are at least 192 kbit/ sec. A minimum one second leader (silence) before the music starts added to all files is recommended. Contact Chris if you have any questions. A CD player will be provided as back up for play through the sound system. A device with a 1/8" TRS (headphone) jack is also acceptable as a backup.
