Sponsor and Event Entry fees shall be a minimum of $100 or 10% of the total entry fee, whichever is greater, for first time offenders unless a technology failure can be proven to account for a late entry. For each ensuing offense, within a season, the percentage will increase by 5%. If a qualifying event is held after the entry deadline for this competition, a provisional entry must be submitted according to the above deadline. Within 72 hours of the completion of the qualifying competition, the proof of qualification must be submitted by phone and in writing to the Meet Manager and Meet Scoring Chair. Tickets will not be sold online or by phone prior to the event. Ticket sales will open 30 minutes prior to the first event start time each day. All-Event Pass: $30; Single day passes: Thursday: $10; Friday: $10; Saturday: $15 Event parking will be available in the parking garage located next to the Recreational Sports Center (REC). There is limited street parking around the Rec Center. You will need to pay any meters, and you must park in a legal parking space. Questions about parking should be directed to the Parking Service Office at Food and coolers will be allowed on the observation decks only. There will be no glass, food or coolers allowed onto the pool deck. This includes the warm up and competition areas. There will be a designated gelling area on the observation deck of the practice pool. You will only be allowed to gel in this area. De-gelling anywhere in the facility is prohibited and will result in a fine of $100. SOUND SYSTEM We will use computer files (digital music). Digital music is simply taking an MP3, WAV or other comparable music file and putting it on a laptop computer and using itunes to play the music at the meet. A standard receiver, speaker (above and underwater) and CD will be provided as back up. 2

Judges will award scores for Execution, Artistic Impression and Difficulty. PHOTO REGULATIONS Any photographs, videotape or other audio and/or visual recordings of the event created by a spectator may be used solely for such spectator s personal non-commercial use, and may not be broadcast, published or disseminated or used for any commercial purposes, without the prior written consent of U.S. Synchronized Swimming. Personal use photography will be allowed by the audience, from the stands, as long as not obstructing the view of others, with any camera using no flash. 6 Appendix A: Club Entry and Fees To register online login to your account from the homepage of the USA Synchro website by clicking on Registration. See the entry instructions on the site. If you have any technical difficulties or questions, please or call Jennifer at x5708 or Appendix B: DIGITAL MUSIC SUBMISSION GUIDELINES We will use computer files (digital music). Digital music is simply taking MP3, WAV, or other comparable music files and putting it on a laptop computer and using itunes to play the music. We would like to have each team save its music using the information below and music files to cincinnatisynchro@gmail.com by the entry deadline (March 1). Use the following naming convention when saving the file. Duet OSU Jones Duet = Routine event, OSU = USA Synchro Club Abbreviation, Jones = Last name of the first alphabetical member of the routine The sound person will transfer the files from to a computer file, and then import the file to itunes. The music will be tested to ensure it plays. During the week prior to the meet, the scoring chair will complete the start lists and the start lists for the meet to the sound person. The playlists are then created in itunes for each separate routine competition. At the meet, a laptop will be used with itunes to play the music through the sound system for each routine event. The value of using digital music: There is no worry about whether the CD will play or skip, nor do we have to worry about playing the wrong music because of a mix-up labeling the CDs or tapes! No confusion organizing the CDs prior to the competition at the Sound Table. Coaches will not have to worry about music at the meet and can concentrate on the swimmers. Announcer s and Coaches ability to adequately time the music is improved. Better sound quality. 6
