12 14 Lisvane Festival 2017 Programme of events FESTIVAL WALK 2017 Friday 30 June The Festival Walk organised by the Graig Protection Society will take place in the evening and will be a repeat of an old favourite walking from Caerphilly Railway Station back to Lisvane. To take part, catch the 6.45pm train from Lisvane & Thornhill Station to Caerphilly (although, if you prefer, meet at the exit of Caerphilly Station at 7pm). The walk will be about 3.5 miles in length and will obviously involve a climb up over the Graig, but it will be taken at a nice gentle pace. The paths are generally well made up but, depending on the weather, they can be a bit muddy in one or two places. Suitable footwear should be worn and, if the weather is unstable, wet weather gear. When we reach Lisvane we can then quench our thirst at the Old Cottage by the railway station! GETTY IMAGES Sunday 9 July VELOTHON from 11am While we re landlocked in Lisvane, come along and celebrate the third year of the Velothon in the Old School car park for a BBQ by the Llanishen and Lisvane Scout Group and a bar provided by Lisvane Tennis Club.
