Parks and Rec from Coached and taught at SCHS from 1965 to 1980 Served in the Army and Air Force. Coach Bailey passed away in He is survived by his wife Jane Bailey and his two children John and Lisa. He has 6 grandchildren: Daniel, Sarah, Abby, Annie, Chazy & Brennan Cheerleading State Champions Won the 30th District Cheerleading Competition at Henry Co. High School Won the 8th Region Cheerleading Competition at Oldham Co. 5 Marnel Moorman Assistant Coach for Shelby Co. Boys Basketball team for 12 years ( ) Assistant Coach on 1978 State Championship Boys Basketball Team Head Coach at High Street Elementary School Assistant Coach at Shelbyville High School from 1965 to 1975 WKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni First African-American to be elected Vice-President and President of KEA (Kentucky Education Association) ( ) Taught in Shelby Co. for 21 years ( ) Assistant Coach for the Shelby County Boys Basketball State Semi-Finalist Team in 1976 Marnel Moorman s untimely death in an automobile accident in 1994 at the age of 51 left a void that can t be filled in the lives of all who met, worked with and admired him. Moorman left behind his wife Laura and children Tolya, Alison, Elizabeth and Montie. Coach Moorman s legacy lives on in his 4 grandchildren: Shai-anne, Marcuse, Montay & Clay Allen. He will long be remembered for the many things he did for the children, student-athletes, educators, community and state of Kentucky. Children are our most precious resource - Marnel Moorman Josh Buffolino Graduated in 1996 Varsity Letters in Cross Country, Track and Golf. Won the KHSAA State Championship in 1996 in the 800 and 1600 Meter Run Holds the following records and honors at SCHS: Holds record in 800 meter with a time of 1:53.13 (1996) Holds record in 3200 meter run with a time of 9:32.23 (1995) All-American honor roll in 800, 1600, 5000 meters in 95 and 96 All-American honor roll in 3200 meter relay in 94 Member of the Wake Forest University Varsity Cross Country team for 4 years While at Wake Forest Josh earned the following honors: Finished 11th at the NCAA Division 1 National Championship in 1996 and captain of the team that finished 18th at NCAA National Championship in 2000 Two ACC Runner-Up finishes (1996, 1997) Finished top 30 at the Southeast Regionals in 2000 earning team an NCAA bid Finished 3rd at 2001 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 1500 meter run Member of the 4 x 800 meter relay team that set Wake Forest record in 2001 and record held until 2014 Earned ACC All-Academic team honors multiple years and graduated with degree in finance in 2001 Josh currently lives in Wichita, KS. He has been married to his wife Elizabeth for 12 years and has two children, Padraig (6) and Juliana (1). He works for the Koch family office and spends time on family's personal investments. Prior to that Josh spent 4 years in the banking industry.

Jobie Miller Graduated in Sport Varsity Athlete: football, basketball, baseball and track Co-captain in football where he started halfback and defensive back from and held school records in touchdowns, total points and interceptions All-State Honorable mention in football Starting guard on the 1966 state championship basketball team All State honorable mention in basketball Starting centerfielder on the 1966 State Runner Up baseball team Made the 1966 All-State Tournament baseball team 3 year starter on track team where he competed in 100 yard dash, 880 relay, broad jump, and triple jump Held school records at the time in the broad and triple jump Received scholarship and played basketball for Austin Peay State University Graduated with a Marketing degree in 1970 Jobie retired from Southern States Cooperative after 42 years of service as Senior Vice President of Retail Operations.
