2 Meet our Judges Glenn Clark Glenn Clark, Chairman of the MSO Dancesport judges, is a top NDCA competitor and coach winning many national awards for more than 20 years with his pro partners and talented amateur students ranging from years old. Glenn is also the owner of Startdust Ballroom ( tel: ), established in Stardust Ballroom offers dance instruction from the beginner-social to advanced competitive levels, as well as wedding dance choreography to take the first steps together. Instruction is based on the American and International school figures for ballroom, latin, nightclub, and swing dances, so there are common patterns to dance socially and competitively. Glenn was raised in Latin America and appreciates the joy of dancing at any level or age and believes in experienced instruction by full-time teachers with no contracts, to provide the top value for every budget. Glenn is proud to be a founding member of the Michigan MSO Dancesport Championship Series! Candace McKenzie Candy has been teaching and coaching both amateur and professional couples for over 30 years. She has been working with Arthur Murray Dance Studio since 1982 and a Certified National Adjudicator since She also has been the master choreographer for the Empire Follies Stage Productions and the Michigan Judge for the dance show "Dance Fever" for nine years in the 80's. She is now operating Detroit Dances. The goal of Detroit Dances is to, not only, inform you of, and share with you, dancing venues in and around the metro Detroit area, but also provide periodic dance parties, workshops, and dance vacations. Izabela Jaworska Izabela Izabela is a certified Ballroom Examiner for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, with a Fellowship in International Ballroom and a Licentiate in Latin, American Rhythm and Smooth styles. She is also a World Dance Council adjudicator. In 2016 she was on the judges panel of such prestigious competitions as the WDC Amateur League World Championship in Paris, France, and the WDC Amateur League Freedom Dance Cup in Radom, Poland. She fell in love with dancing at age 7, and is a longtime ballroom teacher, competitor and adjudicator. A native of Poland, she represented that country with her former partner in competitions in Europe, Asia and the United States. They were finalists in Standard and 10-dance Polish Championships, and won almost every U.S. Professional Rising Star title. Izabela has been a studio co-owner, has designed a popular line of women s dance fashions, and now teaches at the Dance Pavilion in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She has been rewarded with a large number of students in the region and is devoted to helping each student achieve his or her goals. Her teaching style focuses on technique and its nuances. She also recognizes how important it is for students to learn and understand body mechanics. She brings her knowledge gained from her long studies in yoga and anatomy to develop her students' awareness of balance, strength, and flexibility. She is currently working on her ISTD Fellowship in Latin style and is finishing her year-long teacher training in London in the Franklin Method course body awareness and movement.
