2 DAY CAMPS SUMMER FUN CAMP Available to Bristol youth ages Summer camp is the perfect opportunity for youth to participate in a variety of activities, learn new skills, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime! Each week your camper will have the opportunity to participate in organized games, sports, and arts & crafts. There will be swimming and weekly visits to Spare Time for bowling and laser tag, as well as special field trips and entertainment. ( T-Shirt Included) Camp is held at Stafford School Monday through Friday June 27th-August 12th. The program is from 9am-3pm and the fee is $100 per week. THEME WEEK SCHEDULE Week 1: Rollin Into Fun Week 2: To the Extreme Week 3: Outplay, Outlaugh Week 4: Island Escape Week 5: Race to the Future Week 6: Wacky & Wonderful Week 7: Olympics LITTLE EXPORER CAMP Little Explorers is available to Bristol youth ages 3-5yrs (must be fully potty trained). Our program provides a safe, nurturing, and fun environment in which children can make new friends, enjoy new activities, create works of art, learn new things, and experience age-appropriate independence. Camp is held at Mt. View School Monday through Friday June 27th-August 12th. The program is from 9am-3pm and the fee is $125 per week. THEME WEEK SCHEDULE Week 1: Safari Week 2: Party in the USA Week 3: Inventor s Workshop Week 4: Bouncing Out Week 5: Wacky & Wonderful Week 6: Exploration Week 7: Olympics TEEN ADVENTURE TRAVEL CAMP Available to Bristol youth ages Travel camp is intended to engage teens with weekly excursions, entertainment, sports and games. There will be weekly visits to Spare Time for bowling and laser tag, swimming and activities at Page Park as well as multiple special field trips and entertainment ( T-Shirt Included). Camp is held at Page Park Pavilion rain or shine, Monday, Tuesday 9am-3pm, and Wednesdays, Thursdays 8:30am-6pm June 27 th August 12 th and the fee is $150 per week. Specialized program for children 6-12yrs to receive professional training in acting and dance. The program concludes with a performance/show for family and friends on the last day. Whether you are new to Minecraft or LEGO or a seasoned veteran, you ll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities. Ages 5-7yrs Monday-Thursday 1-4pm June 27 June 30 at Rockwell Pavilion. $135 Play-Well TEKnologies Engineering FUNdamentals: Mine, Craft, Building using LEGO Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO! Build hideouts and vehicles of your favorite caped crusaders and learn what makes them not only super heroes, but super hero engineers! Ages 5-7yrs Tuesday-Friday 1-4pm July 5 July 8th at Rockwell Pavilion. $135 Play-Well TEKnologies Super Hero Master Engineering using LEGO LEGO super Heroes need your help to defeat the destructive forces of evil! The engineering based curriculum designed by Play-Well challenges heroes to design, build and save a city where ingenuity and imagination can solve any conflict. Ages 8-10yrs Tuesday-Friday 5-8pm July 5th July 8th at Rockwell Pavilion. $135 Mad Science: Crazy Chemwork We ll learn about the tools scientists use in their laboratories atoms, molecules, and reactions; acids and bases; and fluorescence and phosphorescence. We ll also examine and investigate super sticky things by exploring suction, hydrogen bonding and static cling. Ages 6-12yrs Monday-Thursday 1-4pm July 11th July 14th at Rockwell Pavilion. $135 Mad Science: Space & Beyond! From our Earth s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends them on a quest for exploration. Comets, planets, stars and more are all awaiting discovery. Ages 6-12yrs Monday-Thursday 1-4pm July 18th July 21th at Rockwell Pavilion. $135 Mad Science: Survival! Plants, Predators & Prey Predator or Prey; which will you be? Campers will experience how birds and beasts catch their prey without becoming someone else s lunch and will be challenged to survive in the pulse pounding Food Chain Survival game. Campers will build a real birdhouse to take home as well! Ages 6-12yrs Monday-Thursday 1-4pm July 25th July 28th at Rockwell Pavilion. $135

3 YOUTH SPORTS CAMPS/ CLINIC/ LEAGUES SKYHAWKS CAMPS Skyhawks Basketball Camp (5-7yrs) This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate athletes. An active week of passing, shooting, dribbling and rebounding makes this one of our most popular programs. Program meets at CHMS July 11th 14 th from 9-11am. Fee is $85. Skyhawks Beginning Golf (5-8yrs)- Camp focuses on building the confidence of young athletes by teaching proper technique including the fundamentals of form, swinging, putting, and body positioning. Developed by PGA professionals, SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player. All equipment is provided. Program meets at CHMS Gym June 20 th - 24 th from 9amnoon. Fee is $99. Skyhawks Flag Football Camp (7-10yrs) Campers will learn skills including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning all presented in a fun and positive environment. Skyhawks Flag Football is recommended for beginning to intermediate athletes. Program meets at CHMS July 11 th -July 14 th 5:30-7:30pm. Fee is $70. Skyhawks Lacrosse Camp (7-12yrs) Lacrosse combines basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced game. Boys and Girls will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Program meets at CHMS June 27 th -July 1 th 9:30am noon. Fee is $99. *Participants must provide their own equipment which includes protective head gear (goggles for girls, helmet for boys), gloves and stick. Skyhawks Mini-Hawks Camp (Soccer, Baseball & Basketball) (4-7yrs) - This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. The essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured and fun environment. Campers will explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Program meets at CHMS; two sessions are offered Session 1: June 27 th - July 1 th from 9-11am. Fee is $85. Session 2: July 18- July 21 from 5:30-7pm. Fee is $65. Skyhawks Tiny Hawk Camp (Soccer & Basketball) (3-4yrs) - The essentials of soccer and basketball are introduced in a fun and safe environment with lots of encouragement. Children will learn balance, body movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development through a series of sport-specific games tailored to their attention spans. Program meets at CHMS; two sessions are offered : Session 1: June 27 th - July 1 st 11:15am-12:15pm. Fee is $65. Session 2: July 18-July 21 from 4:30-5:15pm. Fee is $55. Skyhawks Soccer Camp (4-6yrs) Young athletes will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. By the end of the camp your child will learn new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, make new friends, and improved his or her sport skills. Program meets at CHMS July th from 5-6:30pm. Fee is $65. *Campers are asked to bring shin guards and sneakers/soccer cleats. Soccertots Camp (2-3yrs) This parent participation class uses a variety of fun games to develop balance, movement, and motor skills as well as learning to listen to instructions. Program meets at CHMS July th from 4-4:45pm. Fee is $65. Volleyball Camp (10-16yrs) All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. Program meets at CHMS July th from 9 am- 1 pm. Fee is $99. YOUTH SOCCER CLINIC (7-14yrs) Participants will learn and practice soccer skills including trapping, passing, shooting, dribbling, and goalie techniques. Half and full field matches will be held. The program will be Monday Thursday August 1st August 4th from 4-6pm at Rockwell Park soccer field. Fee is $30 and includes T-shirt. BOYS BASKETBALL LEAGUE (13-17) Games are held on Mondays and Wednesdays June 27th August 3rd at Rockwell Park outdoor basketball court from 9:30am-11:30am. The program is led by Coach Joe DeFillippi and is a way to stay active, make friends and have a good time on the court. Fee is $35. SANDLOT BASEBALL (9-12yrs) This long running baseball camp features both instruction and game play in a fun environment. This year s program will be run by Coach Anthony Julius with assistance from local high school players. Camp is held at McCabe Waters Little League Fields on June 20 th June 30 th (Monday-Thursday only) from 9:30-11:30am. Fee is $30 and includes a T-shirt. YOUTH BASKETBALL CLINIC (8-14yrs) Students will work with Coach Joe DeFillippi to improve basketball skills. Clinic includes both instruction and game play, grouped by age and ability. Program meets at Chippens Hill Middle School Gym. July 11th-July 14th from 1-3pm. Fee is $30 and Includes a T-shirt. SUMMER HORSEMANSHIP ( 6-14yrs) Learn knowledge of horse care, safety grooming, and riding on Shepard Meadows beautiful 26 acre farm in Bristol. Horse related games and crafts will be incorporated. The program will meet Tuesday & Thursday 5-6pm. Session 1: 6/28-7/7 Session 2: 7/12-7/21 Fee: $185 per session SOCCER CONDITIONING PROGRAM (13-18yrs) This co-ed soccer conditioning program will run Thursdays from 6-8pm and Sundays from 11am-1pm, July 7th-August 21st at Bristol Eastern Soccer Field. Led by Coach Leigh Michaud the program is designed to prepare for the fall high school soccer program. Fee is $70 for all 14 weeks or $10 per class. Please bring sneakers, cleats, shin guards and water!

4 YOUTH PROGRAMS WRESTLING PROGRAM (6-14yrs) Participants will learn offensive and defensive techniques, including take downs, bottom moves, top moves and pins. The program will meet at Bristol Central High School Wrestling Room from 6-7:15pm, Mondays Thursdays July 11th-14th. Fee is $30 and includes a T-shirt. SPECIALIZED BOWLING (6+yrs) Bowling program for Bristol youth and adults who have special needs. Held on Monday evenings for six weeks at Spare Time in Bristol from 6:30-8pm, June 27th August 1st. Participants are required to pre-register and bring $7 each week they bowl. TINY FEET (2.5-4yrs) An innovative sports and exercise program for children ages 2 1/2-4 years old. Class utilizes shapes, colors, and sound to visually stimulate children as they explore various movements, thus enhancing their motor development while introducing the basics of soccer while working with parents. Program meets at Rockwell Park soccer field twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays 6-6:45 or 6:45-7:30pm Session 1: 6/13-7/6*No class on July 4th program will meet July 5th Session 2: 7/11-8/3. Fee is $95. SPEED CLINIC (9-17yrs) Learn proper running techniques and drills to enhance running form, dynamic warm up, change of direction, plyometric training, first step quickness, flexibility and body weight strength. An excellent program for all athletes, all sports, at all ability levels. Program meets at Parisi Speed School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 7:30pm Session 1: July 11-20th Session 2: July 25 August 3rd. Fee is $55 per session. INSTRUCTIONAL PERFORMANCE CLASSES Dance Lessons (5-14yrs) Various classes are offered for all ability levels for youth ages 5-14yrs. Program meets Mon/Wed/Fri or Tues/Thur for six weeks June 27 th - August 5 th at Rockwell Pavilion. An end of the session Dance Recital for parents will be held at BCHS Auditorium on Wednesday August 10 th from 6-8:30pm. Fee is $30 for the session. 5 TENNIS PROGRAMS TENNIS LESSONS ( YOUTH & ADULTS) Morning classes will meet Monday-Thursday in 2 week sessions. Evening classes are offered either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur in 3 week sessions. Fee is $30 per session. Make-up classes will be held on Fridays. It promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth. Also, it s a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game win or lose. Fee: $39 Matches: are held on July 9th, July 23th, August 6th. Locations TBA. (Finals will be held at Newington High School). Format: Teams are co-ed and matches are 1 singles, and 1 doubles match. FAMILY CLASSIC TOURNAMENT The 2016 Family Classic Tennis Tournament will be held at Page Park Tennis courts on July 16 th (rain date July 17 th ). Registration is free and is available online starting May 18 th, over the phone at and in person from June 27 th - July 14th at the Page Park tennis courts Monday - Thursday from 9-10am and 6-8pm. Participants must bring an unopened can of tennis balls to their first match. The tournament will run according to the following mother/child and father/child age divisions: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 18 & under, and 19 & over. Note the child s age is determined by July 1, There is also a husband & wife division. Each division winner will advance to a Regional Tournament dates TBD. The finals of the State Tournament will be held during the Pilot Pen Tournament date TBD. Winners of the finals will receive their trophies on Stadium Court. RALPH STRONG CITY JUNIOR TOURNAMENT Ralph Strong City Junior Tennis Tournament is held at Page Park Tennis courts on July 29 th 31st. Registration is free and is available online starting May 16 th, over the phone at and will be taken in person from June 27th July 28th at the Page Park Tennis courts Monday - Thursday from 9-10am and from 6-8pm. Participants must bring an unopened can of tennis balls to their first match. Boys and girls will compete separately in singles matches according to the following age divisions: 8 and under, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, 15 & 16, 17 & 18, and 19 to 25. New this year, boys and girls can compete in doubles matches according to the following age divisions: High School Girls, High School Boys, High School Mixed, and Young Adult Open. Note: Tennis Supervisors will contact you prior to the tournament letting you know what time to arrive at the courts.

6 ADULT PROGRAMS SUNSET HORSEBACK RIDING Saddle up and ride into the sunset on Shepard Meadow s 26 acre farm. Our tranquil trials will leave you relaxed and reconnected. All riding levels welcome. Bring a picnic to enjoy on our porch after riding. Program will meet 6-8:30pm on the following dates: Wednesday July 6th, Friday July 15th, Wednesday July 20th, Friday June 29th Fee: $45 per day. * Shepard Meadows will supply SEI safety rated helmets or participants can bring their own. Participants should wear long pants, shoes, or boots with a heel and dress according to the weather conditions. ADULT SOCIAL (18 yrs & Up) This program is designed for Bristol residents 18yrs and older who are mentally disabled. The program meets every Wednesdays for six weeks June 27- August 3rd. The first week of the program kicks off with a welcome back social at the Page Park Pavilion from 6-7pm. Each week after will include exciting trips to various locations. Participants will be required to pay for the field trips that have a fee. Full trip schedule will be available at and will be handed out the first night. Program requires pre-registration online or over the phone at ZUMBA (18 yrs & Up) Zumba is a Latin dance-based fitness class using a fusion of Latin and International music. Class is designed for all ages and ability levels. It is a cardio-based workout with some components of resistance/sculpting training to tone the entire body. Class is so much fun you will barley realize you are working out! Zumba meets on Thursday nights 7/7-7/28 from 6:30-7:30pm at the Senior Center! Fee is $25. PILATES YOGA FUSION (18 yrs & Up) We are very excited to bring this amazing class that helps tone and tighten your core which will improve not only your posture but your body awareness and flexibility! The class combines the focus on core stabilization of Pilates with the postures from yoga to flow through movements in order to work your whole body while also giving you strength of both mind and body. This class is for beginners all the way up to advanced and meets twice a week! For a complete schedule visit We ask that you please bring your own mat! Fee is $35 per session. WOMEN S SELF DEFENSE Instruction on how to avoid being in a fearful situation and how to get out of one should it happen to you. This 3 week program will teach you important survival technics. Classes will meet at TS Karate from 1-2:30pm on Sunday June 5th, June 12th & June 19th. Program Fee: $210 AEROBICS & TONING Aerobics classes are a perfect cardio workout for all ages and ability levels. Classes meet Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm at the Senior Center on Stafford Ave. Fee is $30 for the session or $35 if you want extra stretch from 7:30-8pm for an added wind down.

Extended hours during summer concerts. $1/person for a 20 min. rental. Facility Rentals The Dennis Malone Aquatic Center and Page Park Pool are available for special events on weekends. POOL RULES (ABR.) 1) Children 8 yrs. old and younger must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 in the water. 2) Proper swim wear is required, t-shirts, shorts, street clothing of any kind are prohibited. 3) Children 8-11 yrs. old must have an adult over the age of 18 in the facility. 4) No floatation devices of any kind are permitted during public swims, this includes PFDs, toys and kickboards. 5) Showers with soap are required prior to entering the pool. For a complete list of rules and regulations please visit LIFEGUARD/ WSI TRAINING Course will feature both classroom style lectures, video, and in water skill training. SUMMER WATER EXERCISE Offered for a variety of levels for all abilities Mondays & Wednesdays June 6th-July 28th Session 1: 10:30 11:15am Session 2: 6:15 7:00pm Once a week for 8 weeks for $30. Bring a friend or drop in for $5 fee. SUMMER SPLASH SWIM TEAM A competitive swim team, Splash is available for youth ages Practice is held weekday mornings June 27th July 30th. The team competes in the Central Connecticut Swim League and meets are held on weekday evenings. The Fee is $30 plus a summer pool membership. Fee is $45 for Residents and $55 for non-residents Special needs lessons available for youth and adults on Saturdays 12-12:30pm.
