1 Buffalo Envy All Star Cheerleading Season Dear Athletes & Families, Welcome to Buffalo Envy! Our staff is looking forward to the all star cheerleading season, and we welcome ALL athletes to our family as we enter our 5 th year on the scene. We look forward to watching our athletes accomplish their goals, learn, and create wonderful memories throughout the season and of course, have lots of FUN along the way! Please take the time to review this packet, as this will be your guide to our procedures & policies throughout the season. 2 Communication At Buffalo Envy, we do a majority of our communication through and our members-only page, The Herd, where we also post all s sent out, as well as information on fundraising, hotel codes, and other Envy-only information. Please be sure to check your /the Herd 2-3 times per week for updated information. If you have any questions throughout the season, please contact Buffalo Envy through - info@buffaloenvyallstars.com. However, there is an appropriate time and place to do so. We ask that coaches are not approached about individual issues at the gym at any time (unless it involves health, injuries, or other important information about an athlete that needs immediate attention). Any athlete-specific issue should be brought up to coaches first; if owner involvement is needed, that would be the second step. Coaches should not be taken away from their team or practice at any time. The staff has a lot on their plates and can give you better individualized attention if contacted privately outside of practice. Your coaches will let you know the best way to contact them. Please allow the staff 72 hours to reply to your or call. We will do our best to foster excellent communication and appreciate your cooperation. If an athlete is unable to participate due to illness, please notify your coaches as soon as possible. If athletes have a fever, flu-like symptoms, or other contagious condition (such as pinkeye), we ask them to please recover at home. This includes parents too! If athletes are out on an injury, we require a doctor s note to return to practice.

3 Dress Code & Gym Rules All athletes are expected to maintain good personal hygiene at all times All athletes will wear socks and sneakers during practices, unless otherwise directed by their coach. Sneakers must be clean. We ask that you wear other footwear and change into your sneakers upon arrival. Please do not wear your cheer sneakers outside. NO jewelry at any time! This is a USASF as well as a gym rule. Please wait to get new piercings until during the off-season. Main gym area is for athletes ONLY. Athletes must keep all belongings in cubbies during practice. The front room is for parents & guardians that travel to the gym and wish to stay during practices. Please keep in mind that all athletes must be supervised at all times. Please drop off and pickup your athlete promptly. Athletes are expected to perform in clean, white cheerleading sneakers. We hold 2-3 ordering sessions per season for NFinity cheer sneakers if preferred. If you are purchasing a new uniform, they will be fitted and ordered in August (full year) or November (half year). Competitions Agendas Prior to competitions, you will be given a meeting time (usually local competitions) or a team agenda. Team agendas will be posted after the schedule has been posted by the competition company. Agendas must be followed, including meeting times, appearance, and awards. Ask Your Coach! Under NO circumstances should a spectator or parent contact, question, or approach a competition company/individual before, during, or after a competition. This is at the request of the competition companies, and doing so may result in disqualification or penalty on your team s score sheet. If you have any questions or concerns, it must be brought to the attention of a Buffalo Envy Coach and we will help you. All For One, and One For All! All teams will be asked to be there for our other teams performing. At some events, all teams must be at all performances. At some events, we may have Sister Teams, where we schedule at least 1 team to be there to cheer on another. NEW! USASF Image & Appearance Policy This season, athletes with half tops must wear a t-shirt over their uniforms unless they are in the warm-up area, traveling as a group directly to or from the warm-up area, or on the performance stage. Envy athletes will be supplied with their cover-up t-shirt as a part of our practice gear. Buffalo Envy Image & Sportsmanship Policy We expect all Buffalo Envy athletes, parents, and fans to have great sportsmanship at ALL TIMES at competitions and other events. When you are in Envy gear, you are a walking representative for our program and business, and we expect you to reflect our values of respecting each athlete that walks on the floor, whether it is Envy or another team. Please see more on this under the Envy Family Code of Conduct.

4 Financial Information Pricing grids for Buffalo Envy programs vary, and are all listed on the Teams page of our website. Please note that the Tuition each month is due on the 1 st, and the Booster Payments are due on the 15 th. The Booster Payments may be fundraised. We have done our very best to forecast the payments due for the season. If any prices change at any time, families will be notified within a reasonable amount of time. Payment Methods Buffalo Envy accepts checks, Visa/MasterCard payments, money orders, and cash. Buffalo Envy is an Independent Health FlexFit Vendor, and we can accept payments towards tuition using this method. Check with your health insurance to see if you may be eligible for tuition reimbursement. Payments may be submitted to our gym office, or left in the locked black mailbox in the front room. Failure to make payments may result in your athlete sitting/removal from routine. NEW this season we will be offering an online payment system this fall more info to come! Sibling Discounts 2 nd child in household = 50% off monthly tuition 3 rd child in household = 75% off monthly tuition 4 th child in household = FREE monthly tuition Lowest tuition amount receives the discount Pricing Pricing grids do not take into account uniforms, traveling expenses, spectator fees, or extra tumbling/specialty classes. There will be no refunds, tuition or other fees, made to anyone that leaves the program/is asked to leave for any reason. You are responsible for all fees, regardless of your start date with Buffalo Envy (with the exception of tuition if you are a first-time Envy athlete). The competition fee total may vary from our estimate, as we may attend additional local and/or regional competitions. Any additional fees will be collected before the last competition. Fundraising The Booster Club holds many fundraisers throughout the season to defer costs. Funds raised go directly to your Booster account and will be reflected in your monthly statement. A grid that shows when fundraising credits will be credited towards your account is available in The Herd. Until fundraising credits are due to be placed on your account, your account must be kept current. Please see the Fundraising page in The Herd for continually updated information.
