2 Dear Community Partners! In order to coordinate the marketing campaign for The 30 th Anniversary edition of The Belleville Waterfront & Ethnic Festival our Chamber staff need to pursue the highest quality of entertainment and attractions and it is therefore very important to get a feel from the community relative to their interest in being involved with the event. You will find a lot of information in this package which should give you a great feel for the wonderful opportunities for sponsorship, experiential marketing opportunities and hopefully some impressive information for you to pass along to your family, friends, staff and customers. We are very excited about this anniversary year! It s a pleasure to report that out of the 22 companies contacted thus far they are all back on board from previous years with some increasing their level of support by as much as 10% to honor the 2014 celebration. This is also a clear indication that they have been satisfied with the exposure they received in the past and this list represents a very broad cross section of our business community. 3 In an attempt to better understand the economic impact of this Festival, the Chamber engaged Enigma Research to conduct an Economic Impact &Strategic Alliance Study at our 2013 event. That study, completed over 4 days, revealed the following statistics: 79% of attendees felt that sponsors and exhibitors enhanced their experience at the festival 71% of attendees indicated they would be loyal, or are likely to be loyal to brands that sponsor the festival 82% of attendees stated that they enjoyed learning about new products and services while visiting this festival The average age of attendees was years of age with young families and 20% of those resided in households with annual incomes over $100,000 Attendees spent over $300,000 at onsite food and vendor booths Estimates of offsite spending in the City of Belleville totaled over $325,000 (restaurants, accommodations, retail clothing, sundry merchandise) Attendees spent over $1,000,000 offsite in the Belleville Region over the 4 days Hopefully this information will convince you that the money and effort you would put toward the Festival could bear significant return to your business. The document in this package describes in detail all of the opportunities for exposure which you may be interested in and we sincerely hope you can take the time to look it over. 8 Spider-Man This super hero is popular with both children & adults due to the amazing movie franchise that has evolved in recent years! This actor is amazing to work with and the sponsor will be encouraged to be present for the meet and greets with the provision to hand out things to kids (coloring sheets, coupons, etc.) promoting their business, and for some of the performance time will drive Spider-Man around the grounds in a golf cart so he can visit the whole festival. He will be onsite for 6-7 hours beginning in the late afternoon and running through the early evening. 13 Northern Lights Steel Orchestra Back by popular demand this 65-piece pan steel orchestra will perform Saturday for 3 hours. They had visitors dancing all over the food village and dining tents last year as they play everything from the traditional Caribbean music to classical music, show tunes and pop music in a calypso style. You may not be able to resist joining the band under their tent to learn how to play these amazing instruments. You can tell they love what they do and audiences never want them to stop! 18 Shuttle Sponsor Over the past two years as our crowds have increased, our visitor parking has stretched over to the east side of East Zwicks Park which is a considerable walking distance from all the festival activities at West Zwicks Park. For our Anniversary year we will be hiring local companies to provide a shuttle service between parking areas and the heart of the festival grounds. This will also assist those with mobility issues. Each wagon and/or tow vehicle will have 2 signs stating that Your Ride Today Is Sponsored by ABC Company, and a minimum of 3 shuttle STOP signs will also acknowledge your support. 19 Volunteer & Hospitality Sponsor As all of you know the success of all community fairs, festivals and fundraisers can be directly attributed to the team of volunteers who organize and execute each event through the dedication of their time and talents. Our festival is no exception and many spend between 5 & 7 full days in the heat to make sure that a safe and pleasant time is had by all who visit our event. We are so grateful to have a good team, most of whom have been with us since The Belleville & District Chamber of Commerce began coordinating this event in To honor our 30th Anniversary year we will be purchasing shirts for all volunteers to wear, and the back of the shirts will contain YOUR company logo. Our staff will work with you on the design to ensure your company is represented properly and to honor your support. We also must feed and hydrate volunteers over the 5 days and your support will subsidize food coupons purchased from The Quinte Ethnic Council which will allow our volunteers and technical support workers to enjoy food from around the world!
