2 Casey Jones Village Monday September 17th All Aboard for, Jackson, TN! We are headed to Casey Jones Village for a day at the railroad! Once we arrive at the Old Country store, we will enjoy a lunch buffet. The buffet will have some traditional southern favorites, such as fried chicken, chicken n dumplins, meat loaf, stuffed bell peppers, white beans, turnip greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, soup, cracklin corn bread just to name a few! You even get the choice of banana pudding or peach cobbler! After this delicious lunch, we will head on over to the Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum. We will learn all about Casey Jones and his heroic last ride on April 30 th, 1900 when he saved all the passengers on this train. We will have the chance to tour his home, three authentic railcars and the exhibit entitled The Railroads & The Civil War in Tennessee. Don t miss what is sure to be a fantastic day! 3 Wii Bowling.at! Its that time of year again! Our fall Wii bowling league beings August 23rd! The league consists of seven teams, with four people per team. If you do not have a team, we will help you find one. No experience necessary. Space is limited, so register early! Please remember this is a ten week program, and your team depends on you being there each week. Now is your chance to participate in a sport you already love, using the most up-to-date game system! Our league will consist of 4 teams, with 4 players per team. League play will begin Wednesday September 19th, but we will offer a practice session on Wednesday September 12th! Day: September 10th Time: 10:00 am For more information, please call x10 Date: September 11th Time: 9:00am For more information, please call x10 Ingredients 1 large ripe pear or tart apple, peeled and thinly sliced 1/2 cup water, divided 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon raisins 1 teaspoon butter or margarine 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 dash ground nutmeg 1 tablespoon cornstarch Autumn Dessert Recipe Prep time: 5 min Cook time: 15 min Ready time: 20 min 2 slices cinnamon bread, toasted.ice cream or whipped cream (optional) Directions: In a saucepan, combine pear, 1/4 cup water, sugar, raisins if desired, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until fruit is tender. Combine cornstarch and remaining water until smooth; add to fruit mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for minutes or until thickened. Serve warm over cinnamon toast. Top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

8 Policies Registration Policy All registration dates are included in the activity description. Registration will begin at 9:00am on the first date listed (no registrations will be taken before that time). Registrations for trips or programs can be made in person or phoned in to the receptionist. You must speak with a receptionist in order to make your reservation. Please note: Messages are not accepted when making a reservation! For phone registrations, please call , ext. 10 ( Recreation Complex) or , ext. 10 ( Recreation Center). Please note: Registrations will take place at the facility where the day trip or program is being offered. In order to hold your reservation, payments must be received within 5 days of registration. Payments can be 1. Mailed in 2. Phoned in (i.e. credit card, and will include a small processing fee) 3. Paid in person Please note: Due to the high interest in our day trips, individuals may register only 1 other person for a trip. Other helpful information... Please remember that the facility where you register for a trip, will be the facility where you will board and return via the motor coach. This allows us to better organize large groups, and ensures a safe happy experience for everyone. There is a waiting list available at both the Center and the Complex. If there is a cancellation at either facility, patrons will be contacted by either Amanda () or Mary () in the order in which they have been placed on the waiting list. If you are unable to attend a trip you have registered for, please contact either Amanda or Mary so that we can fill your spot via the waiting list only. We ask that you do not take it upon yourself to fill your spot, so that everyone who has called in has an equal chance to participate. Trip Cancellation Policy Refunds are available through the last day of registration. After the final registration date, most trips are nonrefundable unless your spot can be filled by someone off the waiting list.
