BEGIN AGAIN. In the mid-1990's, I was attending one of my very first West Coast Swing events in Phoenix, Arizona. Over the microphone, the legendary DJ/Emcee Kenny Wetzel ( ) would randomly dedicate songs to people on the dance floor. Out of the blue, he dedicated this song, "Summer Wind" by Frank Sinatra, to me. I was so shocked, I could hardly dance! Since I was so new to the West Coast Swing world, I didn't think he even knew who I was! And how did he pick one of my all-time favorite songs? I had grown up dancing to this kind of music with my family. I cherish that memory and ever since then, I love dancing a smooth, flowing style of West Coast Swing to this song. I hope you enjoy it too. Jo Thompson Szymanski - jo.thompson@comcast.net
