Dspatly tying to gt his chut attachd to th hanss, th Flying Fotss split in two and Pac baild out at 30,000 ft with just on pat of his chut attachd to th hanss. Tumbling upsid down and falling lik a ock h said, I could not hook up th chut to th hanss and th ts w gtting bigg and bigg so I pulld th blly chut cod as a last sot and it opnd. I could s th popl fom th town following my dscnt and whn I landd in sombody s gadn I was immdiatly suoundd by a mob of angy popl and a op was tid aound my nck. Thy w scaming at m in Gman but I su knw I was in toubl, h calld. I was paadd though town wh popl thw stons at m. Just thn a Gman offic on a bicycl aivd and dispsd th cowd with a shot fom his pistol and took m in tow. In pfct English, h said, thy w going to hang you. Fom th intogation cnt, Pac and his fllow POW s w hdd into box cas and shippd to Dulag-Luft fo Ai Cops psonnl bfo bing shippd to Stalag Luft IV, locatd in Stttin, Gmany on th Eastn font. H his was intd with Bitish, Canadian and Polish POW s.
