CRC Funding Reinstated s you may have seen late last week, the Minister for Regional Development has decided to continue to fund all Community Resource Centres to the tune of $13 million per year. I found this one and as Nora Roberts usually writes romance under this name and thrillers under JB Robb wondered how she would go. I felt she did an excellent job.

4 Book Club SHELTER IN PLCE BY NOR ROBERTS. This Month s book was my choice. choice that I found hard to pick as we had just read a book about a baby being taken and most of the current reads seem to be about babies or children being taken. I found this one and as Nora Roberts usually writes romance under this name and thrillers under JB Robb wondered how she would go. I felt she did an excellent job Sometimes, there is nowhere safe to hide. It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the videogame store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever. In the years that followed, one would dedicate himself to a law enforcement career. nother would close herself off, trying to bury the memory of huddling in a ladies' room, hopelessly clutching her cell phone--until she finally found a way to pour her emotions into her art. But one person wasn't satisfied with the shockingly high death toll at the Down East Mall. nd as the survivors slowly heal, find shelter, and rebuild, they will discover that another conspirator is lying in wait--and this time, there might be nowhere safe to hide On a very windy Monday night only 5 dedicated book club members met at my place. I did have a couple on written reports sent in. But we missed our usual rowdy crowd. We all had read the book and enjoyed it. We found the characters solid and as one member put it this book had ction dventure, Romance and a dog!!! What s not to like. We liked following all the survivors and how they each dealt with the trauma. We felt the villain was great.had a high IQ but quite mad, one member did not even like reading about her she was so evil. I personally found the ending slightly drawn out but one member found it ended too abruptly. We liked the crazy and eccentric grandmother. Overall this book rated 8 /10. Thank you ladies for coming I think we had a good night. Next Month s book is Sandy s on the 10 th of September. Gail Vaux.
