Its only 94 days until the start of the AFL footy season. Then it won t be long after that our Knights are back in action on footy ovals all around the district. Some of you might not be thinking about footy yet, but behind the scenes the committee has been planning the 2017 already. Yep that s right. Rego day, Gala day, Functions and season start dates have all been set. All we GIFT VOUCHER. need are those registrations to start coming in for what is bound to be WGJFC biggest and best Stuck for gift ideas. The WGJFC Gift Certificate season yet. could be the answer. Whether it be Christmas, Birthdays, Fathers or Mother s Day, the new gift Roll on Footy Season voucher is available now and throughout season 2017 for use on any of the WGJFC WGJFC NEW COMMITTEE merchandise items. 2 2017 REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN WGJFC registrations are now open for opens, mods and female teams. Please check the website (and Facebook) by following this link for all Modified, Open and Female Players Online registration. For Auskick aged children (1st July 2008 to 30 June 2012) registrations will be available shortly. Keep an eye on the Clubs Facebook Page and App for updates. WGJFC registration fees for 2017 are: Open and Mods $200, U15 and Junior Girls $130 and Auskick $180. Fees have increased to cover the real cost of player administration with several costs increasing over the past several seasons i.e. umpiring fees. Family discounts are available (2 players = $20, 3 = $40 and 4 = $60). Players are encouraged to register early so that team numbers can be confirmed whilst the registration payments can be made in 2017 (Auskick must be paid at the time of Registration). We are looking forward to see old members return and welcome all new members. Talk to your mates, and your mates mates, and get them to get on board the Knights for season It s going to be bigger BEN HUR PRE-SEASON Club Pre-season The Club Pre-season Program will kick off for our Open age group players on Thursday February 9th, The program is set to run at Hawker Park each Thursday from 5-6pm. Modified players are invited to attend at a date to be advised in March. Please check the club website or club app for any amendments closer to the date. 3 M AJOR MILESTONE 150 G AMES trip over to Vietnam taking with them some WGJFC footy s and a few spare Auskick Bags. It was greatly received by the kids at the orphanage, and they had a ball playing a mini game with Coach Stanley Fox giving them a few pointers. Who knows maybe one day, one of these kids could be playing our great game of AFL for possibly your favorite club. PRESIDENTS WORD Congratulations to Kurt Hamilton who in Round 10 of this year reach a major milestone of 150 games. What an achievement for Kurt who has previously achieved Junior Life Membership and been a valued member of the club since his Auskick Years. WELL DONE KURT. WGJFC GOES INTERNATIONAL Hoping this newsletter finds you all well and ready for Christmas. Despite being the "off-season" rest assured the committee have been working diligently behind the scenes making preparations for the 2017 season. The season looks set to be another exciting year. From coaching and development through to our popular social functions. The Committee's annual planning day allowed for event dates to be set and the club's strategic plan to be discussed. The Club's membership is healthy and we look forward to nominating teams in every age group. The recent Subiaco AGM saw our own Lincoln Rollo voted in as the new Competition Director for the Subiaco District.
