Club Champion Nominations are Open We are looking for parents, coaches, committee and players to nominate a member for their outstanding contribution to Laurimar Power Netball Club in 2016.

2 Club Champion Nominations are Open We are looking for parents, coaches, committee and players to nominate a member for their outstanding contribution to Laurimar Power Netball Club in Some examples of reasons for nominations; Has attended all training sessions & attended every match etc... Has great leadership skills & encourages fellow teammates at all times, etc... Outstanding contribution on or off the court throughout the year etc... Non financial members & committee members are ineligible to be nominated for Club Champion. Go to our Website to complete the online nomination form. What an honour it would be to be recognised with the Club Champion Award. So think very carefully & nominate, nominate, nominate! Nominations must be received by a committee member no later than Saturday 19th November. Nominations will be assessed by the committee with one award being presented at the club presentations. Grant for Goalposts from Bendigo Bank Laurimar Power Netball Club has been successful in obtaining a grant of $1,204 from the Doreen & Mernda Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank. The funds will be used to purchase new adjustable goal posts for our training facilities. A big thank you to Bendigo Bank and Elly Bratasiuk for investing the her time to apply for the grant. Page 2

3 Banyule Competition for 2017 In 2017, we plan to provide our junior players with a wider range of competition options. We will continue to participate in the Diamond Creek Force Netball Association (DCFNA) and Whittlesea & District Netball Association (WDNA) competitions held on Saturdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, however in addition we will offer a Saturday competition being played at the Banyule & District Netball Association (BDNA) competition. The BDNA competition teams will be formed by invitation after trials and subsequent selection. The teams entered will form a key part of our tournament team development program. Players that are selected to participate in the BDNA competition will be entered in high level tournaments usually for Association teams. The entry to BDNA will provide the opportunity for the selected teams to play regular competition together between Association tournaments. Trials will be held on Saturday 26th November & Saturday 3rd December, Go to our website at for more information and to register your interest. Mobile: lnccoaching@hotmail.com.au Power Adventure Day 2017 In early 2017, we plan to run a Power Adventure Day at PGL Campaspe Downs, located on the outskirts of the Macedon Ranges, close to Kyneton and an hour s drive from Melbourne. Activities available include Abseiling, Open Canoeing, Climbing Wall, Flying Fox, Possum Gliding, Low Ropes Course, Giant Swing, and more Planned for Sunday 5th February 2017, this will be a great team building day to kick off the 2017 season. 5 REBEL Sport Club Rebate Program Did you know that our club can receive a 5% rebate from all purchases you make at Rebel Sport? If you are already a member of the Rebel Sport loyalty program then all you need to do is tell the staff to link your membership to Laurimar Netball Club next time you are in the store. From that point on, our club will accumulate rebates each time you swipe your card. If you are not a member, make sure you tell them you are with Laurimar Netball Club when you sign up! All of the money received goes back into the club to purchase equipment. Registrations for 2017 Registrations for 2017 will be open from 26th November 2016 to 31st December Full details of available competitions and fees will be available on the registration area of our website shortly. Whittlesea Show Wrap Up Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters at the Whittlesea Show this weekend. And a special shout out to Nicole Pearson, Kath Scott and Michelle Batty who gave up at least 3 full days each to make this work. Our fundraising targets are so much closer thanks to you efforts. The event managed to raise over $1,750 for the club. Great job everyone. Go Power! Page 5
