1 DAPTO NETBALL CLUB INFORMATION BOOKLET 2018 Welcome to Dapto Netball Club for the 2018 season. The Management Committee would like to wish you an enjoyable year of netball, learning new skills and making new friends. THE CLUB NEEDS UMPIRES The club is required to provide both junior and senior umpires for Net Set Go, Junior and Intermediate games every Saturday and we need your help to do this. Anyone interested in umpiring should see Kerrie Smith or phone her on the above number All interested umpires will need to fill out a umpires application form which is located on the Dapto Netball Club Website DO YOU WANT TO COACH? Coaching application forms are available via the Dapto Netball Club website and will also be available on all registration days. The Coach s meeting will be held on Monday 19 February 2018 at 7pm, at Dapto Leagues Club. At this meeting all coaches will be informed of the team they have been allocated. Coaching manuals will be distributed, membership forms & working with children check numbers will be completed. All questions will be answered.

2 All players will be allocated into a team by the club. Dapto Netball Club Grading policy is available for all members to read. Club training day is Tuesday afternoons at a time set by the team coach (this day can change due to team numbers/coaches) Training venue is the eastern netball courts at Fred Finch Park, Hooka Creek Rd, Berkeley Competition games will be played at either Fred Finch Park, Berkeley or Guest Park, Fairy Meadow First competition game is 7th April 2018 No games are played on the 14 th and 21 st of April, 9 th of Jun, 7 th and 14 th of July (school holidays) Semis 25 th August, Finals 1 st September, Grand final 8 th September & 6 Years (born 2012 & 2013) Skills program designed by NSW Netball. Members receive a T Shirt, Netball and a medal at presentation Conducted in the stadium at Berkeley. Commencement date 5 th May 2018 Conducted in group sessions learning the early skills of Netball under qualified coaches 7 & 8 Years (born 2010 & 2011) No on-court allocation. Players will be allocated into teams by the committee. Meet the Coach will be held on Tuesday 27 th February 2018 at 4pm at the outside courts Training will commence on Tuesday 6 th March Last competition game is 18 th August 2018 which will be followed by the IDNA Net set go presentation All games are played at 8.30am 9 Years (born 2009) Club allocation will be held on Tuesday 13 th February from 4pm at the Berkeley Netball stadium. Attendance is compulsory. Please come suitably dressed to play netball. Meet the Coach will be held on Tuesday 27 th February 2018 at 4pm at the outside courts Training will commence on Tuesday 6 th March Last competition game is 18 th August 2018 which will be followed by the IDNA Net set go presentation All games are played at 9.45am 10 Years (born 2008) Club allocation will be held on Tuesday 13 th February 2018 from 4pm at the Berkeley Netball Stadium. Meet the Coach will be held on Tuesday 20 th February 2018 at 4pm at the outside courts Final series commences 25 th August 2018 All games are played at 8.30am

3 12 Years (born 2006) Club allocation will be held on Saturday 10 th February 2018 from 9.00am at the Berkeley Netball stadium. Attendance is compulsory. Please come suitably dressed to play netball. Meet the Coach will be held on Tuesday 20 th February 2018 at 4pm at the Berkeley Netball Stadium. All games are played at 9.45am Intermediates (born 2005, 2004, 2003) Club allocation will be held on Saturday 3 rd Feb in the Berkeley Netball Stadium between 9am - 3pm. Attendance is compulsory. Please come suitably dressed to play netball and bring food and drink. Please do not ask to leave early. Meet the Coach will be held on Tuesday 20 th February 2018 at 5pm at the outside courts All games are played at 11.45am at Berkeley Cadets (born ) Club allocation will be held on Tuesday 6 th February 2018 from 5pm at Berkeley Netball Courts. Please come suitably dressed to play netball. Meet your coach on Tuesday 20 th February 2018 at 6pm Future training times to be given by your coach Games are played at 1.30pm and 3pm at Fred Finch Park Berkeley Seniors (born 2000 and earlier) Club allocation will be held on Saturday 10 th February 2018 at 1pm Berkeley Indoor courts Courts C & D. Attendance is compulsory. Please come suitably dressed to play netball Meet your coach on Tuesday 20 th February 2018 at 6pm at Berkeley Netball Courts. Future training times to be given by your coach Games are played at 1.30pm and 3pm at Fred Finch Park Berkeley All senior teams will be required to do duty during the season. All senior players who do umpiring duty must have completed the online section 1 umpires exam and hand certificate to the Umpires Co-Ordinator. Your team will get a fine if a duty umpire has not completed this. Any team not meeting IDNA requirements for duty will be fined: o $55 per umpire/duty per game plus loss of 1 competition point per player not on attendance. These fines need to be paid to the club within one week of the fines being incurred

CHOCOLATE MONEY All boxes contain 50 chocolates The price of each chocolate is $1.00 All chocolate money ($50 per box) is to be returned by Tuesday 27 th March Failing to do so will mean you are not financial with the club and will result in not being able to play until paid.
