1 Please find inside all of the information you need regarding enrolments for School Sports Teams at Tauriko School this summer! If you have any questions about how these sports operate or what is involved, please check out our School Sports page on the website: In this booklet, there are not only the enrolment forms, but also special information about the roles of Coaches and Managers of our school sports teams. We have also included our Fair Play Charter. Please read this carefully, as upon returning your child s enrolment form, we understand you agree to it. Sports Uniforms: For all sports you are required to wear the correct Tauriko School uniform - black shorts and a Tauriko red polo shirt. We have also been very successful with a grant for sports uniforms. If you are supplied with a Tauriko School Sports uniform this must be worn. Families are responsible for keeping this uniform in excellent condition and returning to school at the conclusion of the sports season. Damaged or lost uniforms will incur replacement fees. Signed slips and PAYMENT must be returned by Friday 18 th September (due to a very tight turn around NO LATE NOTICES CAN BE TAKEN). Once both slips and money have been received, we will endeavour to allocate your Happy summer sporting! Kind Regards Kaye Barnett Sports Co-ordinator Suzanne Billington Principal
2 COACHES AND MANAGERS ROLES 2015 Firstly, thank you very much for accepting the job of taking on board the role of parent leadership of a school sports team! We can assure you that you will learn a great deal from this experience, have a lot of fun whilst doing it! you taking up this challenge. The school is very grateful for This flyer is designed as a way to establish roles and responsibilities of parents and make sure they are supported and knows what each job involves. Organise students at games, make sure they know what position they are playing and they all have an equal amount of time playing (supporting weaker players with stronger players if necessary). Give feedback and encourage students for next steps in their future games. Work with the manager to select a player of the day. MANAGERS Ensure everyone has a draw or is aware of game times. Oversee team lists and make sure you have everyone s contact details. Contact team members if a game is cancelled or postponed. Manage the subbing at games on the coaches request.
