Netball NSW Umpires B Camp BUSINESS ARISING FROM CORRESPONDENCE IN: Item 3 Netball NSW has been approached by a community group in Gymea who work with kids from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Funding will be available for clubs who can demonstrate that the money will be used to support projects that encourage diversity and inclusion in their sport. Magpies have been preparing to undertake this. Item 9 Complaint from umpire regarding a player s behaviour at Summer Night Comp. E Petinos MP Local Sport Grant Program CORRESPONDENCE OUT BE RECEIVED: REPORTS: TREASURER: Magpies Connells Pt Report attached Training court requests to be submitted by Sat 04 th March Training lights come on Monday 13 th March. Clubs need to pay for their registrations by Saturday 04 th March. Netball NSW have already invoiced us $125,000 for regos NSW REPORT: Two x Premier League teams have been entered for Premier League EOI 2018 to be submitted by 10 th March. Four x Metro League teams have been entered. Any withdrawals through MyNetball to be done by 28 th February or your club will be charged the Netball NSW component. One sponsor has been obtained for Premier League and we are actively searching for another. The President would like clubs to consider paying the $20,000 licence fee out of the kiosk if a sponsor is not found. 4 EXECUTIVE: Nursery Committee 2017 only one nomination received. The comp will not go ahead without a committee. Mel Benton from Greenpoint encouraged the clubs for provide volunteers for this committee. The President and Treasurer to make an appointment to see The Mayor regarding vandalism. Courts 9 & 20 have been damaged due to bins and trollies being set alight. Two x Delegates meetings to be moved due to Premier League:- July - meeting to now be Tuesday 18 th July September - meeting to now be Tues 19 th September No nominations have been received for a Vice President Thistles REGISTRARS: Information night was held on 25/01/17 and went well. Clubs to provide photos in small envelopes with yellow cards to be Checked by Registrars. Photos will then be returned to clubs. Swap night to be held Mon 20/02/17 at 7.30pm. Clubs are to bring their yellow cards of players who did not return this year. Clubs to remain until the end. Send any yellow card requests through to the office. UMPIRES CONVENOR: Di attended a badging meeting at Netball NSW with Sarah from Magpies Di is finalising umpires for State Age selections 9 umpires attended the Manly carnival. Thank you to all clubs who provided these umpires. Most clubs are playing their umpires between $25 and $30. Thank you to the clubs who provided feedback on this. Beginners umpire course to be held on 08 th March. Participants should be 12yrs and Up. Umpires for Metro League have been submitted. 10yrs practical grading no piercings or jewellery will be allowed. St Patricks

5 TOURNAMENT: Names appearing on MyNetball. Are clubs happy to have player names made public? A few clubs are concerned with this due to child protection issues, some children may need to keep their identity private. Comets advised that names are public on the MyCricket system. Too late to change for this year however will be raised once again at the September business meeting. Tournament Committee Debbie Feening, Maureen Finch and Sarah Marinovic. Taren Point Magpies COACHING CO-ORDINATOR: Stingrays clinics to be held: yrs Friday 10th March & Friday 17th March from 4.30pm to 7.00pm - $ yrs Sunday 2nd April 9.30am to midday - $ yrs Thursday 20th April 9.30am to 12.30pm - $30 11yrs Development Squad trials to be held Sunday 30/04/17. Coaches are required. Debbie Feening to mentor coaches. Hopefully we will have one coach per ten players. A meeting to be held with rep coaches tomorrow night. Drills and Skills session to be held Thurs 16 th March. Further info to follow Lenore Blades is happy for club coaches to attend her State Teams training sessions at Homebush If any club coaches would like to watch the Open s or U/20 s train, please let Nerida know and she will organise. Greenpoint SELECTION & REPS: Final JNR Rep selections to be held 27 th & 28 th Feb Gymea

6 VICE PRESIDENT: Sponsorship - Jenny 2 in the office has been contacting existing sponsors regarding Athletes Foot have come on board as a sponsor and are looking at doing a pop up shoe shop at the courts on Day 2. Uniforms Judy McLachlan has organised all rep uniforms for Fatima RETURNING OFFICER: NEW STADIUM PROPOSAL VOTE Should SSNA continue moving forward with the plans to build a new indoor stadium at Bellingara Netball Complex. CARRIED GENERAL BUSINESS: N/C Uniform change approved Gymea N/C Logo changed approved Magpies raised that they are having numerous problems with MyNetball and asked if the SSNA was keeping a log of issues Yes.
