Cure our Kids Carnival BUSINESS ARISING FROM CORRESPONDENCE IN: Item 19 Complaint from resident regarding lights at Yala Rd. SSC has advised lights need to be left on for security reasons. Items 41 & 53 Heathcote N/C requested these letters be read. Item 41 - Letter from G Grahame advising she has accepted a position to coach the second State League team for St George. She requested she still be permitted to coach the 15 s Rep Team for SSNA in Item 53 Letter from G Grahame standing down from position as reserve selector. Heathcote questioned why G Grahame was not permitted to coach for both SSNA and St George. Maria replied that it was a conflict of interest to coach for two associations, and she reported that the 15yrs team had been contacted, asking them to move to St George. Maria advised that the 15yrs team would not be at a disadvantage, as they will now be coached by Maria Lynch, who is a Level 3 coach. There will be no lights between 6 th & 20 th April. Clubs please ensure your teams know which courts they will be training on. MOVED: Exec SECONDED: Connells Pt NSW REPORT: November Meeting Numerous changes to Championships & Competitions Policy 15yrs Reps no longer permitted to play as a team in State League MOVED: Sharks SECONDED: Executive EXECUTIVE: Player transfers 2 x 13yrs, 1 x 15yrs reluctantly approved. In future the players request to transfer letter will be forwarded to both clubs involved. Voting for Netball NSW AGM Directors & Committee Committee formed for 50 th Anniversary. Fundraising ideas include recipe book, SSNA bottled wine, book and DVD, coupon books. Can clubs provide recipes

5 and any interesting photos? An address will be set up for recipes to be sent to. Discussions re changes to Grand Finals A1 G/F to be played in Stadium with a curtain raiser senior presentations to be moved outside tent will be set up on Ct 33. A1 s may need a few training sessions in the stadium, so they become accustomed to playing on a different court. SSNA Footy Tipping Comp to be open to clubs. More Information to follow. MOVED: Magpies SECONDED: Holy Family REGISTRARS: 598 teams registered 3 down from Well done to all clubs, not many provisional players. Late Registration Days Monday 16 th March & Monday 23 rd March. Grading Appraisal to be held on Saturday from 9am. Clubs have the opportunity to come and question graders. Only one representative from each club to attend on behalf of all teams. Please advise Vicki of who your club rep will be by Friday. After appraisal the final grading list will be distributed. Clubs then have until Monday 5.30pm to appeal. Appraisal must have been attended and the graders questioned before an appeal can be made. Practical Grading for 10 yrs only paper graders (both Snr & Jnr) are required to assist. If they are coaching a 10yrs team they need to arrange for someone else to organise their team. MOVED: Life Member SECONDED: St Patricks UMPIRES CONVENOR: Over 100 nominations for Beginners Umpires Course Thankyou to the 5 girls who umpired last Sunday for the Round Robin with Cessnock. Tuesday 17 th March Meeting for all National Badges and Convenors. Di Ward attended NSW Netball Umpire Convenors Conference on 28 th February. Summary:- 1. How to obtain and retain umpires. 2. Networking with other association convenors 3. Regarding State League bench assistants all timekeepers, scorers will have to complete Umpire Section One Theory Exam. Will be gradually implementing.

6 4. Umpire Theory exam going on-line from May. being organised by Netball Australia. Instant mark and certificate. 5. Considering renaming of Umpire Section One Theory exam taking away the word umpire. 6. Booklets available to assist club umpire convenors. 16 available but can photocopy some more if required. Introduction to Coaching Course 7 th March, 14 th March & 29 th March. Bring ball and running shoes. Margaret Corbett running Foundation Course on 17 th May. Trish Bowmaker to run Development Course 14 th June. Nominations for Development Squad close on 28 th March. Trials will be held on 5 th April. Margaret Corbett moves SSNA writes a letter to Netball NSW to complain about the $100 charged for both Lisa and Di to attend workshops.
