This season there are five teams playing for Grace Netball Club, we have a full committee and also have a fantastic amount of umpires available to umpire. We not only have enough umpires to cover our club teams but we can help out other clubs who may be short, which was the position we were in last year, so we are definitely off to a great start! I would like to say a big thank you to the Committee, Coaches and the Umpires for volunteering their time and expertise, without all these wonderful parents, players and friends of netball who have taken on these roles there would be no Grace Netball club. Good luck to all our players who have now been placed in their teams and have begun training. We hope that each player will play to the best of their ability, improve their skills through training and be competitive on game days whilst playing with good sportsmanship. Most of all we hope that our players enjoys playing and being part of a team, develops friendships and have fun. We look forward to watching lots of good netball being played in 2014, good luck to all teams!

2 2014 Committee The full Committee is listed on top of the newsletters with their contact details. New to the committee this season is our President, Keren Frohloff. Keren has been involved in netball for many years and brings an abundance of knowledge and experience with her. We are very excited to have Keren be involved in our club. Christopher Betts is our new Treasurer, Christopher is a parent and also comes from a banking background, who better to keep track of our financials. Ursula Britten has very kindly taken on the position of Fundraiser Convenor, Ursula has two girls that play for our club and we look forward to supporting Ursula throughout all the fundraising events this season. Chris Look is our head coach, along with Kym Marks (vice president) and Sue Vitols, we have a very knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated coaching team. Tina Metcalf is our Umpiring Convenor, Tina was in this role last year and did a fantastic job, if you are interested in umpiring please contact Tina, there are courses offered to get you started. Diana Godfrey is our Registrar and Janine Taylor is our Uniform Convenor, which most of you would have met on sign on days and both these lovely ladies held these positions last year. Lastly the position of Secretary is held by myself, Rebecca Aiono, I look after the website as well as newsletters, if you have anything you would like me to include in the newsletters please feel free contact me.

3 2014 MARCH PAST AND CLUB DAY Caboolture Netball Association will open the netball season with the March past on the 22 nd March Players are to arrive by 8.00am ready to be assembled for a 8.30am start. March past is compulsory for all players. Players need to wear full grace netball uniform, this includes black bike pants, crop top with no bra straps showing, grace ankle socks and grace hair scrunchie. Could players also remember to cut nails as round one is also being played on this day. Parents please note that parking will be difficult, all the CNA clubs players and families will be there for the March Past too, so please allow time to find a car park to get there on time. As the March Past is on in the morning and the times for the team s games will be from lunch time onwards, we are holding a club day, which involves sausage sizzle, drinks and activities for our Grace girls. This will be our first fundraising event for the season but mainly it s a chance for the girls to spend quality time together. This is also an opportunity for the teams playing later in the day to watch and support the Grace Teams playing the earlier games. After the March Past we will meet at park behind the CNA club house (near Dog Park) where we will begin activities. Sausage sizzle and drinks will be $1 each and we also be having a club raffle, so bring your loose change. We encourage all players to attend, parents are welcome, this a great time to get to know other parents in your daughter s teams and also meet and have a chat with the Committee members.

4 Game Times and Pre Game Requirements Pre-Game Requirements Please arrive and be ready to warm-up 30 minutes prior to your game. Ensure your strapping is all done and nails cut. Wear your uniform correctly, wearing grace ankle socks and no bra straps showing. There are three time slots that your team s game can be scheduled to play each Saturday, these time slots will be one of the following: , and Round One Game times Team versing time court Team 1- Elite Bribie pm 3 Team 2 - Diamonds Jets Team 3 - Lightning Bluejays Team 4 - Thunder Wamuran Team 5 -sapphires SPC

5 Training Training times have changed, Teams one and two will now train from , this is to accommodate the Vicki Wilson Squad members, players not in the squad will continue training until The Vicki Wilson squad will start their training at the MPC, all other training will remain at the same venue on Mews Road Netball Courts. (Girls coming straight from club training remember to bring something to eat between trainings) Training on Tuesday the 25 th March 2014 has been cancelled for the Vicki Wilson Squad due to block exams in the MPC but will resume on the 1 st April Teams three, four and five will train The bus that Grace College has organised will still transport players from the Caboolture campus to Rothwell campus for training and then return back to Caboolture after the end of training.
