3 YouthRugby After another successful season on and off the pitch we can offer our gratitude to the coaching and administrative teams for helping to make it a year to remember. It is easy to overlook the army of parents and volunteers that make Hamilton Rugby Club, in our view, the best community focussed club in Scotland. Thank you all. With our improving performances on the pitch, growing numbers accross all ages and increased coach education it has been a fantastic time to be associated with all of you. Next season will offer up a real challenge at MIDI and COLT level as we compete in the Shogun Conference, the Highest level of Youth Club Rugby in Scotland. Whilst we should be positive that we can offer anyone a good game, a sense of realism must also be taken and a clear focus on improving individual skills and overall game structure, rather than simply the scoreboard, must be taken. We have faired well this season against some of the teams we will face but remember that we are looking to develop players through to U18s and COLTs and not simply win every week. This is truly where the club is formed with the majority of our senior teams formed from former Hamilton Youth Players. We will continue to play against the best teams in the central belt to ensure we continue to produce outstanding players and develop the right attitude amongst them. Going forward we are keen to involve more parent helpers and volunteers. Don t be shy if you have any suggestions or are willing to help out. We d love to hear from you. We are always keen to welcome new players, no matter their experience, to Bulls at all age groups, please let friends and family know. If you let Alan Falconer know he can help introduce them to their playing group. Don t forget our BullsSummerCamp at Laigh Bent in the Summer Holidays. Details are available on the website. David Vickers Youth Convener Our MINI section continues to thrive and be the envy of other clubs who do not have the same number of players or depth of coaching team to rely on.

4 BullsFixtures The Junior Section will play in the SRU Shogun Conference in season , which will be a big step-up from our Autumn fixtures last season. From August to December all five yeargroups of U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18 will play whole club fixtures against the following teams: Ayr, Biggar, Boroughmuir, Currie, Highland, Stirling County, and West of Scotland. Weekend dates are planned as follows with the U18s playing each Saturday and all others on the Sunday. 5th August - GHA (Friendly) 12th August - Marr (Friendly) 19th August - Whitecraigs (Friendly) 26th August - Currie 2nd September - Biggar 9th September - West of Scotland 16th September - Ayr 23rd September - Highland 30th September - Boroughmuir 7th October - Stirling County 28th October - Currie 4th November - Biggar 11th November - Ayr 18th November - West of Scotland 25th November - Highland 2nd December - Boroughmuir 9th December - Stirling County Details of all fixtures as they are booked will be on the club website and arrangements for games further afield communicated as soon as we are able (Highland). We will communicate finalised training and other support arrangements for each age group in the near future but aim to return to training in mid-july The top three clubs at U16 and U18 in this Conference enter a National Cup competition in early 2018 against clubs from across the country. After Christmas U13 and U14 will play a range of Friendly fixtures. U15, U16 and U18 all compete in their respective West Cup competitions from February through Upgrade to Our MINI Section have arranged friendly games against teams from across the central belt of Scotland from August 2018 to May Details of these can be found on the club website, and will be updated in the next few weeks. BullsFestival Each year we hold one of the biggest Youth Rugby Festivals in the country inviting teams from all ages to complete and make friends at Laigh Bent. This is scheduled to take place on the 6th May If you are interested in helping with this great event please speak directly to David Vickers or Al Falconer.

FamilyMembership Upgrade If you have a one or more players paying for membership in the youth section you can upgrade to a Family Membership that covers two adults and other, non playing, siblings to support our club. 6 YouthMembers MembershipGuidelines This year we are enabling an automatic rolling payment each year for P4 - U18 payment process. For P1 - P3, players going onto P4 we will cancel the direct debit following final payment, and will be invited to set up a P4 - U18 scheme as per the schedule explained below. Annual fees will be collected each year for the early bird discount in August and in the first week of the month for the payment through installments. Each player must have a separate subscription allocated from the different payment options. If you are attempting to purchase the Early-bird options after the deadline, the link will not be valid. MonthlyPayment The monthly payment has been split over 12 months to allow a continuous payment throughout the time at Hamilton Rugby Club without the challenge of resetting a payment scheme each year. This makes things much easier for the parents and the club. Payment must be completed in full for each active year so that the the value is received and paid up to and including the August of the following season. Injuries are a part of our sport and we can not allow for this within our subscription processes. Should you wish to discuss this further, please speak to one of the Youth Committee directly. However, if payment is stopped within the 12 month cycle, and a player has not left or sought sanction from the Committee, the remaining balance may be requested by the Club. PaymentTimings All players must be signed up to either the Early-bird Offer or Monthly payment scheme before the end of August, otherwise the only option be for payment of the Membership and Subscription fees from September onward. Failure to pay this, or discuss with the Youth Committee may make a player ineligible to play until resolved. MultipleSiblings We have changed the 2nd and 3rd player process this year to allow brothers and sisters to join part way through the year, but allow them still to benefit from discounted pricing. 1st Siblings should pay the full price for single membership with each individual player having their own playing membership set up with a 20% discount for 2nd and 3rd Siblings (residing at the same address). Should there be more than 3 siblings, the subsequent players are able to play for free. Where a first sibling leaves, and the other(s) remain, we will cancel one of the discounted options an reallocate that sibling to the full price membership (if paying monthly). Note - P1 - P3 Is already discounted for all players and no further discount applies. FamilyMembership Where Family members wish to join the club the non-playing members can be added by making a one off payment depending on the number of youth payers active subscribed from their household. PlayerRegistration New players will be expected to complete the player consent forms on-line, whereas returning players should ensure that their contact details are correct through the main club website as part of the Membership process. You may also receive a prompt to check these on a 6 monthly basis. New Players can sign up to the Monthly Payment scheme once they have been attending for a calendar month. In the next season, they then have the option to cancel this and opt for the annual payment or do nothing and continue to pay each month.
