1 ABOUT SEREVI RUGBYTOWN SEVENS The 2014 Serevi RugbyTown Sevens tournament, August 15-17, promises to be the best yet. 17 teams from five countries will be competing for the winner-take-all $10,000 purse, including three national teams looking to break onto rugby s big stage. All five U.S. military branches will participate again, as will the 2012 champion USA Falcons, made up from the national team player pool, and last year s winners, the USA All-Americans collegiate all-star squad. More information can be found at: ABOUT INFINITY PARK Situated on a 16-acre campus in Glendale, Colo., Infinity Park is the first rugby-specific sports complex in the United States. The venue boasts a 4,000-seat stadium, an expansive outdoor park, state-of-the-art event center, a community fitness center and an elite athletic training facility. Infinity Park is the home of the Glendale Raptors Rugby Football Club and the Glendale Olympic Development Academy. It is also one of the few facilities the USA Eagles use for training and international test match preparation. The last few years has seen a small revolution in Bahamas rugby. A determined executive spearheaded a dedicated youth rugby program with coaches volunteering to teach rugby in several local schools. Already, some of these recently recruited youth players have filtered their way into the senior men s clubs. Bermuda The Bermuda 7s Rugby team will travel over 8 hours of air travel to reach Denver where they will enjoy 5 days of rugby training and international play at 5280 feet above sea level. This will be Bermuda s second appearance at the Serevi RugbyTown Sevens tournament. Denver Rugby 7s All Stars The newest formed team playing in Serevi RugbyTown Sevens, Denver Rugby 7s All Stars was formed in April 2014, and draws players from the Southwest region of the United States. Glendale Raptors Founded in August 2006, The Glendale RFC is sponsored by the City of Glendale, Colorado. Raptors Head Coach Andre Snyman, himself a former 7s star for his native South Africa s national team coaches the Men s 7s team and the Men s Pacific Rugby Premiership team. Glendale has hosted August s annual Serevi RugbyTown Sevens international invitational tournament since 2012, and the Raptors have fielded a team each year. In 2013, the Raptors went 2-1 in pool play, and beat the Northeast Rugby Union and French Armed Forces to advance to the Cup Final, but fell to the USA All- Americans collegiate all-star squad. It was, however, the top finish for a club team in SRS history and a jumping-off point for this season. Mexico Serpientes The Mexican Federation of Rugby, B.C. (FMRU) was formalized in 2003, adapting to the statutes of the sport in our country federated obtaining nationally representative and being recognized as the governing body of Rugby in Mexico. Negro Y Azul Negro y Azul is a nationally competitive 7s rugby team, based out of Austin Texas; Affiliation: USA Rugby; Awards: 2013 Las Vegas Invitational 3rd; 2013 Serevi Invitational Bowl Champions; Serevi Invitational Plate Champion 2013, Las Vegas LVI 3rd Place 2013, Las Vegas Invitational Elite Northeast Olympic Development Academy The Northeast Rugby ODA has been sanctioned by USA Rugby as the official Academy in the Northeast USA and a designated pathway to USA Eagles selection. The purposes of the ODA is to identify, develop and prepare Sevens rugby players with the intention of placing ambitious athletes onto the USA Men s National team and the 2016 USA Olympic team. The ODA will provide athletes with top level coaching, physical preparation, and playing competition to accelerate their personal development as Sevens players in line with current USA Eagles High Performance criteria. Republic of Texas The Republic of Texas rugby team enter tournaments and play competitively. ROT has placed 2nd in 2011 and 3rd in 2012 at the Little Rock Tournament in Arkansas. They have also competed in the Dallas (DARC) Mudfish Tournament and played in the final match there.

6 Royal Air Force Spitfires Founded in 2007, the RAF Spitfires Rugby 7s team is made up of Officers and Airmen from a wide variety of trades and branches from across the Royal Air Force. This includes pilots, engineers, admin officers, physical training instructors, firemen and more who are based in various locations across the United Kingdom. They work very closely with their Service charities the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Khelo Rugby in India, the Royal Air Forces Prisoner of War Association and Help for Heroes. They have raised over 70,000 through various charity events (bike rides, marathons, dinners etc) and 5 is donated from each shirt sale to those charities. The RAF Spitfires have won silverware from all 3 of their tournaments so far in 2014, winning the Elite Plate at Bournemouth, Kolkata International 7s and the Elite Plate competition at the Newquay Surf 7s. They are bringing a developing team to Denver and are looking forward to the challenges they will face at Serevi Rugbytown 7s 2014 as well as introducing new players to the fantastic facilities which are available at Glendale. United States Collegiate All-Americans Founded in 2011, the team is made up of many of the best collegiate players in American rugby. They are defending Serevi RugbyTown 7s champions. Serevi RugbyTown 7s Plate winners 2012; 2012 USA Rugby Men s All Star 7 s Cup Champions, 2012 Serevi Rugbytown 7 s Plate Winners, 2013 Serevi Rugbytown Sevens Cup Champions. USA Falcons The USA Falcons are the development team for the US Eagles National Sevens Team and 2012 Serevi RugbyTown Sevens Champions. USA Hawks The USA Hawks are an additional development team for the US Eagles National Sevens Team comprised of USA Eagles hopefuls ; players fighting for an audience with Eagles National Team Coaches. MILITARY TEAMS United States Air Force Initially part of the United States Army, the USAF was formed as a separate branch of the military on 18 September 1947 under the National Security Act of It is the most recent branch of the U.S. military to be formed, and is the largest and one of the world s most technologically advanced air forces. The US Air Force Men s 7s team is comprised of active duty and reserve Air Force servicemen. United States All-Army The United States Army is the largest and oldest established branch of the U.S. military, and is one of seven U.S. uniformed services was the first year for All Army Rugby 7s. The team is made up of Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Soldiers. Team officially represents the US Army and the Soldiers are selected from various duty stations around the world. Four players are currently in the USA Men s Eagles Sevens National Team player pool. United States Coast Guard The United States Coast Guard is one of the country s seven uniformed services. The Coast Guard is a maritime, military, multimission service unique among the U.S. military branches for having a maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction in both domestic and international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set. The US Coast Guard Men s 7s team is comprised of active duty and reserve Coast Guard servicemen. United States Marines The United States Marine Corps provides protection from the sea, using the mobility of the U.S. Navy to rapidly deliver combinedarms task forces. It operates posts on land and as well as aboard sea going Amphibious Assault Ships. Created in 1775, the Marine Corps has been a component of the U.S. Department of the Navy since 1834, working closely with naval forces for training, transportation, and logistics. The US Marines Men s 7s team is comprised of active duty and reserve Marines servicemen. United States Navy The United States Navy is the naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It was estimated to be larger than the next 13 largest navies combined in terms of battle fleet tonnage in It operates 289 ships in active service and more than 3,700 aircraft. The US Navy Men s 7s team is comprised of active duty and reserve Navy servicemen.
