2 From the President... Congratulations to the Stivey family for winning the LCD T.V at our last awards, a single $10 ticket saw them walk away with a nice 40inch telly. We plan to raffle off another big screen at our next awards night which is next Sunday 8 th of July. The Junior Club will be holding our major fundraiser for the season in a two weeks time being a Trivia Night on Friday the 13 th of July. This is a great chance for all us parents to get together and have a laugh in what s always been a very funny night. This time we will be adding a DJ to the mix for all those interested in partying on. Everything you need to know is attached on a flyer in the back of this newsletter and the invitation is open to all adults whether you re a member or not, we encourage you to bring along family and friends and join in on the fun. Time isn t on our side and we really need all forms handed back to Michelle ASAP. This weekend s games see s the EFL holding Call to Arms round and is primarily based on raising the awareness of cancer in males. This program is about encouraging all us middle aged men to get along to our local doctor for a regular check-up, early detection is the key to over coming this disease and programs like this are designed to give us blokes a friendly reminder that one in three cancers can be defeated and yes it can happen to you! You will notice yellow arm bands on all the players today and donation boxes will be available in front of the main social rooms. Michelle will also be running a raffle with all different items to be won in the color of yellow. Please support this great cause! A reminder to all parents not to let their emotions get the better of them at Junior Football, at no stage should any parents interfere with any of our players. We encourage all negative thoughts be kept to yourselves and in the event you feel you have the need to express your concerns then you can discuss these with your Coach, Team Manager or myself. At no stage should anybody be expressing any negativity to our players (even your own). In what s turning out to be difficult season on the scoreboard this doesn t mean the players aren t giving their best and encouragement rather than filling their head with doubt is the only way forward. 6 SPONSORSHIP: Our Gold Sponsors:- COLDSTREAM AUSKICK NEWSLETTER #5 Hi Everyone, Well I can t believe that after the School Holidays we ll only have 3 weeks to go until the end of our Auskick season for Real Estate On Sunday 17 th June we had a Mini-Game prior to the Under 17 s game. Thanks to all the parents who bought along their kids on such a drizzly day. The kids got a true taste of footy. At the end of our game all Auskickers lined up to cheer on Under 17 s player #25 Jordan, who had a banner for his 100 game. Thanks also to Paul Walsh, under 17 s coach for suppling all the kids with club cap. As you can see the kids got to use our new Club jumpers. These jumpers will remain the property of Auskick& will be used in halftime games etc Preparations are well under way for this year s Presentation Night, which will be held on Friday 10 th August. This always proves to be a great night for both the Auskickers and their families, with all Auskick participants receiving a trophy and other goodies. Invitations will be handed out the first week back after the school holidays. As this season is winding up, I am putting out the call to anyone who is interested in taking on Coaching or helpers positions for next year. As usual all help is appreciated whether it be in a Coaching Position or Cordial helpers.
