4 One boat per team, and each team must consist of: 2018 ASA Fishing Tournament Rules June 22 23, 2018 Drifter s Resort, Rockport TX a. Amateur Division Maximum of four paid anglers (Definition: no member of the team who has held a guide s license or fished a Pro Tournament may enter this division.) b. Pro Division Maximum of four paid anglers. (Definition: Team has hired a professional guide and/or a team member(s) currently has or has held a guide s license, or has been paid to guide and/or a team member has fished a Pro Tournament.) *Committee has final decision on determination of class division. Mandatory Check-In & Weigh-In will take place at the Drifter s Resort Event Center, 4401 Hwy 35 South, Rockport, TX **NOTE: Due to limited parking space at venue, please DO NOT bring your boats to Friday or Saturday events Official start time is 5:30am on Saturday with weigh-in between 2pm 3:30pm. Tournament goes on rain or shine. If a team member is not in line by 3:30pm with team ice chest, the team will be disqualified. Ice Chest will be tagged at check-in. Ice chest may only contain selected fish ready to be weighed-in. Only ONE team member may stand in line, and other team members & bystanders may NOT cross the barrier. Awards will be given in the following categories: a) Heavy Redfish b) Heavy Trout c) Heavy Flounder d) Heavy Stringer (consists of 1-Red; 2-Trout; 1-Flounder) *A fish from your stringer MAY be used for the individual categories. All fish must be of Legal Size and Edible Condition. An oversized, tagged redfish will not be permitted. In the event of a tie for heavy fish, the breaker is determined by length then girth. Final decisions on any disputes will be made by the Weigh Master. All contestants agree to take a polygraph test if required. The test will be taken at a time and place requested by the committee or weigh master. Refusal to take the test or failing the test will result in disqualification of the team. The individual taking the test will be decided by the tournament director. Only one Trout over 25 per team can be weighed-in. Violation of any of the rules will result in immediate disqualification for the entire team. No exceptions. Calcutta Begins at 7:30pm Friday Evening. Minimum $50 buy in. Payout is 1 st through 3 rd in Amateur and Pro Division. Must be a member of a registered fishing team in order to participate in the Calcutta. Payment in full by the high bidder(s) is required that evening. Payouts will be made in full to the high bidder(s) named for the boat. A team whose boat has been purchased by another has the right to purchase half their boat. Cash Money Pots paid out to participants only. Trout, Red, and Flounder Categories. Winning Length will be randomly drawn Friday Evening. Note: A fish from your heavy string MAY be used in these side bets.
