From all the golf played, the social events and club activities to even more golf played, we had no problem bolstering membership activity during the 2015 Season. One of the best marketing additions added in 2015 was our very own Keene Trace Mobile App. This app gives you fingertip access to club information and is a quick and effective communication tool with Push Notifications. Ladies Links is an informal league geared towards all ability levels. We created the league with the intent of fostering a fun environment to play and socialize with others in efforts of growing the game of women s golf. I look forward to building upon Ladies Links into the 2016 season. Whether you are an avid golfer or new to the game, please join us! Keene Night Live! Also new to 2015 and having proved a success were the Keene Night Live Patio Parties! Speaking as the event planner, it was extremely gratifying to see members come enjoy Live Music on the patio, dinner specials and socializing with other members at the club. A HUGE thankyou to both The Big River Band and Jordan English for providing music to really set the tone for our Thursday nights! We will continue this into 2016 and hope to bring in more local favorites!

The fitness center consists of the latest in fitness technology to give members a great place to stay in shape throughout the year. Yoga is a great practice for increasing your body s flexibility, thus proving the perfect tool to enhancing your golf game. We will be offering yoga for all levels and abilities. Yoga will take place 6-7pm Wednesday nights and 10am Saturday mornings. Schedule coming soon.

6 Lastly, how about the pool parties?! We experienced recordbreaking numbers for both Memorial and Labor Day pool parties as well added new events to the 2015 Pool Events Calendar. Tie-Dye, Dive-In Movie Nights and Ice-Cream socials were all huge hits around the pool this year! We plan to have the pool ready and running by Mid-May in 2016, weather permitting. Hurry Up Summer! Recapping 2015 gets us very hopeful and excited for an even better Our aim is to only continue fostering an environment that encourages membership participation through activities and functions. From the Golf Professionals It's hard to believe the 2015 golf season is coming to a close. It seems like just yesterday we were hosting the Masters Par 3 Challenge.

Men s League began in May, which increased from 36 players to 72 players each Wednesday night. In total we had 90 players in the league.

8 From the Golf Professionals It's hard to believe the 2015 golf season is coming to a close. It seems like just yesterday we were hosting the Masters Par 3 Challenge. We saw participation increase in all events and received great feedback on how we succeeded and to make events even better. Men s League began in May, which increased from 36 players to 72 players each Wednesday night. In total we had 90 players in the league. This is something we truly look forward to and hope all participants enjoyed the fun competitive nature of the event. We will continue this league, play beginning May 4th, 2016 so be thinking about your team this offseason as we will be taking signups before you know it. The Bourbon Duck took place in July and was the best turnout to date. We had 124 players participate and when all was said and done we had two great champions in Billy Lester and Bryan Swint. We have already begun planning for the 2016 Bourbon Duck and sign-up information will be made available soon online. You'll want to make sure and sign up early, as this event will sell out.

The Annual Doo Wop Swap was once again a great event, which showcased our facilities and brought in guests from all across the state. The LGA works very hard to make sure everyone has a great time. The Golf Professionals are excited to be working closely with the LGA to introduce new ideas and organize and run the events to make them fun and entertaining. A Letter from HP Golf Academy: A lot of progress is going on at the best golf club in Kentucky. The owners have made the commitment to provide a first-class golf experience to Central Kentucky in the forming of Keene Trace. I have been very blessed that the owners have allowed me to locate my academy (High Performance Golf) at the Keene Run course. I also would like to thank the members for putting up with us during construction. We are truly here to service the members and provide a true world-class academy as a benefit to any member was a very good year! We had players compete all over the country winning over 100 golf events. Events such as the KY Amateur, KY Women's Open and the Men's Lexington City. We had players win at virtually every level and had 17 players sign college scholarships. We commit to being the best-trained instructors using the best technology. Champion Trace Renovations Over the past 3 months the Champions Course at Keene Trace Golf Club has undergone one of the most elaborate renovations to the club.

10 Champion Trace Renovations Over the past 3 months the Champions Course at Keene Trace Golf Club has undergone one of the most elaborate renovations to the club. What began as a plan to re-grass the greens quickly turned into an extensive project, creating aesthetic features and playability enhancements. Since course closure in mid-august, we have been very blessed with great Fall weather, setting us on the fast track for our Grand Re-Opening in Spring Take a look at the hole-by-hole tour below to see the various changes made including original plans, Google Earth images and most current photos of the work completed thus far. We are thrilled to unveil the course next Spring and hope you join us in celebrating the New Champions! Driving Range & Short Game Areas Although one of the state s largest, the Champions practice facility needed many enhancements. Previously, the driving range was known to slope away from the tee, prohibiting landing zone visibility. We have added six elevated target greens, thus allowing for a better view of where the ball lands. A bentgrass fairway has been constructed down the middle of the range, as well as a short game wedge area offering yard shots. Drainage has been improved to the range as well as hole ten, allowing for less disruption to member play. All short game areas have been refreshed and re-grassed with V-8 bentgrass, consistent with the 18 greens on the golf course.

Hole 3 Shortened the fairway bunker on the end away from the tee box, re-graded this area and covered with bentgrass. Extended the fairway with bentgrass to the right of the green between the depressions and the putting surface.

12 Hole 4 Expanded the fairway along the fairway bunker area. Removed the front right greenside bunker and replaced with bentgrass after regrading. Also created a bentgrass collection area to the right of the green. Hole 5 Created a bentgrass collection area between the greenside bunkers. Hole 6 Removed numerous trees to the left and right of the green. This will promote desired growing conditions with sun and airflow.

Hole 8 Replaced the fairway bunker on the right closest to the tee with bentgrass, resulting in a larger fairway lay up area. Expanded the approach fairway with bentgrass on the left and right of green. The right side bentgrass encircles greenside bunker closest to the tee box. Hole 9 The approach area has been shortened.

14 Hole 10 The depressions on the right hand side of the green have been made into collection areas and have been replaced with bentgrass. Hole 11 Tee boxes been raised and re-grassed. The fairway has been expanded to the right in the landing area. The front left green side bunker has been filled in and replaced with bentgrass. A bentgrass collar has been added to the right side of the green. Hole 12 The fairway has been extended to the green.

Trees have been removed from the right hand side bottom so that more of the green can be seen from the landing area in the fairway. 17 A Letter From The Owners: We are entering into our third year as owners and it has been a great experience. Our commitment to making Keene Trace the best club around is stronger than ever. The renovation of the Champion Trace Course has exceeded our expectations and we feel that when we open again in the spring, you will feel the same. The nearly unanimous opinions of members who participated in the course tours has been very positive with many saying it will be like playing a totally new course. We are planning a Grand Re-Opening at the course around the first of May. The details are still in the works but it will be an event you will not want to miss. It is our goal to enhance your club experience at Keene Trace with on-course improvements, facility enhancements and additions, and improved service. Budgets for the last two years have been executed knowing losses would be incurred. The 2016 budget has been prepared to finish in the black. As a result of this, 2016 dues will increase $600 per membership category and all new members will pay a $2,500 initiation fee. Although the membership categories for new members in 2016 and beyond have been refined, your membership category will remain the same as long as you are a member in good standing. In the next section of the newsletter, the 2016 membership dues are listed. As in past years, you may choose the payment option that fits you the best. You may pay in full, in three installments (three equal payments due in January, March, and May), or you can pay monthly installments. Existing members have the opportunity to avoid the 2016 increase. If your dues are paid in full on or before December 31 st, 2015, you may pay the 2015 rate. The table below shows an example of a family and an individual membership if paid in full before the end of the year. If membership dues are paid in installments, this option is not available. Whether you pay in full or in installments, you will be billed according to your current membership category and payment plan. If you plan to change your membership category or payment plan, we must receive your information before December 31 st, 2015 to avoid a lapse in your membership or you will be required to pay an initiation fee of $2,500 upon reinstatement Membership Type 2016 Dues Payment in full on or before December 31 th, 2015 Family $6,600 $6,000 Individual $5,100 $4,500 You can increase your savings by locking in 2015 rates for years beyond 2016 by paying in full now for additional years. If you choose to do this, you will avoid possible increase in future years based upon the number of years you choose to prepay. If your renewal date is not January 1 st, you will receive these same renewal opportunities one month before your renewal month. In other words if you joined in July of 2015, your renewal will not occur until July of You will receive notice of your renewal and be allowed the same opportunities using 2015 rates. We are also offering for the first time a VIP 10-year membership. This is another way to save money in the long term. The membership is a family membership for 10 years, at 2015 rates a $60,000 value, for $40,000. The membership must be paid all up front before December 31 st, There are a limited number of these memberships available, so if you are interested please call Lauren and she can give you the full details.
