They will be open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. They will be featuring hand dipped, soft serve, milk shakes, old fashioned ice cream sodas, ice cream sundaes, banana splits and hot dogs. Located in a Fifty s style setting with a real jukebox for your listening pleasure. There will be a grand opening scheduled for a later date. We are in discussions with several other potential tenants for commercial space in the Town Center and we are looking forward to making further announcements in the near future. It is crucial that we all come together and support our local businesses as they open their doors to serve the community. Your continued support of these pioneering entrepreneurs will lead to more successful businesses that want to serve Venetian Bay and support a thriving commercial village. We have had an amazing turnout thus far to the Pool & Tiki bar in the Town Center! We are pleased to welcome over 60 new Members to the Club in the month of May! We encourage you to take advantage of our special offer on Social Memberships and come out to enjoy some fun in the sun! See page 3 of this newsletter for more information on Social Memberships. We want to thank everyone that came out to the pool and Tiki bar for Memorial Day! We had the biggest crowd in the club s history and a great day of celebration was had by all! The hot Florida summer is upon us and we are working hard to continue to improve the pool and Tiki area for you! You may notice short periods in which the pool has less available furniture as we will be sending out a number of our chairs to be refurbished. If you have any questions about the projects, please do not hesitate to give me a call or stop by and say hello. As a friendly reminder to all of our members, please make sure that you are familiar with the club rules and regulations, particularly for the pool and Tiki. We want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere and have some fun. Our Social membership drive is in full motion and it has been our pleasure to welcome over 60 new Members in the month of May! We are looking forward to welcoming more in the coming months! With a summer full of fun events and activities ahead, be on the look-out and don t miss out!

I love the month of June because we do celebrate Father Day (June 15 th ) and the US Open is played in the month of June too. This year it will be at Pinehurst #2 and the Women s US Open will be at the same venue the following week. This is a first for the USGA in modern times and it should prove to be an exciting two weeks of highly competitive golf at the highest level! Pinehurst #2 is also where Payne Stewart won his final major before his tragic and untimely death (1999); he beat Phil Michelson that year coming done the final stretch and one can t help to remember his comments to Phil afterwards: You are about to become a Father! So during the month of June, celebrate Dad and how much he means in our lives and go ahead and take in some great historic golf too. Golf is a privilege. You never have to play golf, you get to play golf. Harvey Pennick By Scott Eberly (Superintendent of the Golf Course) Summer is here and we have finished up our first aerification, and the greens are almost fully recovered. We have also put out our mole cricket application. With all the rain, we have had to put out extra herbicides to control the weed population. If you have not heard, I will be leaving Venetian Bay in June. I have enjoyed my time here and have formed great relations with many of you over the last few years. Until I leave, I will see you on the course.
