1 General Membership Meeting 4/20/15 Questions Submitted in Advance Q: Who will benefit more from the new tee time system, the existing members or WCI? Please have all the reasons enumerated? A: The decision to change the tee time allocation system was made with member involvement. We believe this will create a better booking experience for the Members. All non-member times that are booked happen after Member placement occurs. Q: Is there any way to monitor for groups that book (eg. groups that book 6 or more times, then give back or (cancel) 1 or 2 tee times hours before the day of the tee time? (Enforce a charge to the members that do this after their first offence, this habit causes a loss in revenue, but at our club (PP) this denies other members to plan ahead for a golf game). A: We do have a cancellation policy / fee that went into effect this season. We do, however, believe the new system will help eliminate this. Q: Will you be providing rakes in all the bunkers next year? A: No, we will continue to provide rakes in the carts and at greenside bunkers only. This provides our maintenance team with the most efficiency when preparing the golf course every morning. Q: Suggestion...why not paint a stripe on the rakes to identify the rake belongs to the golf course. A: Good suggestion, thank you.

2 Q: Will the shrubs on Cypress Grove be trimmed increasing visibility when driving the golf cart from Heron 1 to Heron 2. A: We do not maintain that median but we will pass this request to the Master HOA. Q: Will the golf club be providing baskets at the tee boxes so golfers can put their broken tees in them instead of throwing them on the ground? A: The Club will be replacing broken tee baskets at all par 3 tees as well as green sand buckets. Q: Can the club post signs at the first tee box stating the pin position number for the day. A: At this time we have no intentions on doing this. Q: Can anything be done about the members using Ibis 9 as a shortcut to go home from the club. Or even going to the club from their home. A: No-one should be on the golf course unless they are playing golf. We will send a reminder on this and we would also hope that Members give respect to those playing golf by not engaging in this practice. Q: Are there any plans to enlarge Loons? A: We do have some funds allocated to engage in an architecture, space allocation and usage study. We anticipated this study will take place over the summer. Q: What happens to the items found on the course, I.e., golf clubs, head covers, towels, glasses, ball markers, etc. Why can't the club make these items available to the members for a small fee. Like an end of the year yard sale event. A: These items are kept until claimed. We are not interested in hosting a yard sale event for lost items. Q: Every change has winners and losers. Who are the winners and losers with the tee time change? A: We believe this change will create a better experience for Members when booking tee times.

3 Q: Why doesn t Pelican Preserve Golf have an active Backgammon club? All of the best clubs have an active Backgammon schedule! It is the perfect game for men who want to sip brandy on the veranda. A: We would be pleased if there were Members interested in organizing something like this. If there are dates and times that you would be interested in, please share them with Scott Ortiz for consideration. Q: Why can t we buy cups that match the lids and lids that match the cups and cup dispensers that don t dispense 2 cups at a time leaving you holding an extra one with no where to put it? A: We ve recently checked all cups and lids and all are matching. Q: Who pays attention to the aesthetics of the golf course? Why hasn't the fallen, dead trees on the left side of the cart path of Heron # 4 been removed? A: These items are on our list to be addressed over the summer months. If certain dead trees do not cause a hazard or impede play it may be decided that they are not removed. Q: I would respectfully ask Joe/Russ to give us their evaluation of the golf course as they see it as of today. This should include the appearance and safety factors such as the plantings and cart path. Then give us a summary and timetable of what is planned for the summer months. As a final point, I would ask for their goal as to what they want and expect the course to be like come fall. A: The course conditions and agronomic practices are evaluated annually by the USGA (report provided). Presently we are very pleased with the condition of the golf course and plan to keep it on the same track to further improvement. Our summer maintenance plan reflects this through less aggressive practices. The results we ve shown this year are directly related to the additional maintenance funds received in our 2015 business plan. Q: I would like to know how the new tee time system will impact non-resident golf members. Under the current system I have had difficulty obtaining desired tee times due to the fact nonresident members have a 9 day window vs. 10 days for residents. A: Non-resident Golf Members will still receive a 9-day booking window and they will be able to book directly into the tee sheet (as placement happens 10 days in advance).

4 Q: The back side of Egret 2 green is void of any vegetation. It is not seen by golfers because they pass by on the way to the next hole so it is behind them. However, the homeowners in the area have to look at this eye sore every day. Some think this is the result of the pigs. The ground has not been dug up which is a classic sign of pig damage. The ground is smooth. Any vegetation would be helpful. A: We will review the area and take this under consideration. Q: What is the reason they are clearing the bushes and trees out of the North side of the property close to Colonial and between Ibis 1and 2 between the cart path and the dump. Members are asking what is going in there or is it for fire safety? A: This is all part of the exotic plant clean-up project that was communicated in March. Q: Are you going to do away with pin placement rotations? This will help to use other parts of the green, which would help LONG TERM. A: We have no plans to change this. Q: What are the plans for creating a men's 9-hole league next season. A: The MGA presently is doing a survey on the desire for this. They will communicate results when complete. Q: Could the toilets in the rest rooms on Heron be replaced they are so rust coated they are a disgrace? A: Yes, this will be addressed. Q: Can the area directly behind the mats on the driving range be leveled because of the heavy use it is difficult to get an even stance? A: We will review this. This area will be aerified, and top-dressed over the summer which will help with leveling the area. Q: At one time there was a discussion of adding a second set of three distance floats at the driving range what is the status? A: We have no plans on adding more floats. We are looking into refurbishing the old floating islands but this has not been finalized.

5 Q: Could you add signs next to where the launch point is designating the distance to the driving range floats? A chalk board could be used. A: The laser mirrors need to be replaced and will be done during our Monday closings. We have no plans to add signage. Q: Can you go back to the system of designating where handicap players should park by using the post system? People are abusing the freedom and are parking within inches of the greens and in some cases directly in front of the greens. A: We re happy with how the current system has worked this season. By allowing carts the flexibility of where they park it has reduced the amount of traffic patterns that are created by directing carts to one single location. Q: Please place larger signs in carts stating No smoking! Cigarettes butts liter the course. Also place large signs at the first hole of each 9-holes that this is a non-smoking course. A: We will consider adding better signage. Unfortunately at this time it would be difficult to go to a non-smoking policy on the golf course.
