6 Clubhouse News Jennifer Dolph General Manager Hello Fox Meadow Members! The season is upon us! Thank you to ALL of you for your continued support and patience as I get my hands into everything here at Fox Meadow! During the past three months we have had several projects in the works and would like to touch on a few of the new things you will see around the Club. Back staircase has been reinforced and stained Pool features have been painted, concrete wall repaired, new filtration system and more! New look in the hallway with marketing and calendars! Addition of the Golfers Corner in the grill Baby changing stations in the Clubhouse and Pool Cart path repair on hole #11/#12 in the tunnel Steam room units will be here by the end of the month In addition to those items we look forward to many other exciting things to come for 2016! If you saw our on Tuesday you know that our Full Moon Masquerade Ball and State of the Club will be held on May 21 st from 8pm-12pm. This will be a fun night and a chance to hear in more detail what Fox Meadow has in store! I look forward to all of you attending! With Opening Day on May 7 th we are going to turn that into an entire week of fun events! They have been an amazing help to me and I couldn t be more grateful to get to work with such a great group of people!

7 Membership News Golf Shop Brittany Starnoni Director of Sales Hello Fox Meadow Members! Happy May! Hopefully the weather will continue to warm-up and stay warm! You have all done an amazing job so far with the Membership Challenge! The Membership Challenge began on April 1 and will go until May 30. We have 60-days to bring in 40 referred members. When we reach our goal, we will host an all-inclusive party for our New Members and their sponsoring Members! In April, we enrolled 22 new Members and 16 of them went towards the Membership Challenge! Already in May, we have 5 new Members and 2 of them go towards the Membership Challenge! We only need 22 more referred Members to complete the challenge I know we can do it! What do you get when you refer a new Member? Depending on your membership category will determine your referral gift. Current Full Golf Members who refer a new Full Golf Member will receive a complimentary Trail Fee for 2017! Social and Social Golf Members who refer a new Full Golf Member will receive a credit to their account in the amount of $350.00! All Members who refer Social or Social Golf Members will receive a credit to their account in the amount of $ (Social Golf) or $ (Social). If you know someone who you think will make a great FMCC Member, please let me know and I will send them a personalized invitation on your behalf. I am looking forward to hosting a great party at the end of this 60-days! We also have a great Upgrade Opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning about other membership category options. With warm weather right around the corner there is no better time! Our New Member Mixology Mixoff was a huge hit! Thank you to everyone who joined us that night and even though Julie won the drink of the month, I still think mine wasn't too bad! As discussed, we enrolled 22 families to the Fox Meadow family this month! We are so happy to have you all with us! I am so excited for our upcoming events this month starting with Mutts & Martinis. For those of you who know me, or have seen the Mutts and Martinis poster in the hallway, you know that I am a little obsessed with our dog, Giada. I cannot wait to bring her to this fun event on Saturday, May 14th. We will be turning the driving range into a off leash dog park, drink specials will be available for mom & dad and goodie bags for the dogs. Also this month we have Live Entertainment, Kid s Cooking Class, Birthday & Anniversary Night and new to this year our first ever 2016 State of the Club Full Moon Masquerade Ball which will be held on Saturday, May 21st from 8:00pm to 12:00am. $40.00 per person/$80.00 per couple includes open bar, heavy hors d oeuvres, live entertainment and Jennifer will be speaking about the direction and vision of the Club for Masks are optional, yet encouraged. 9 Golf Shop News Chris Lawson Greetings Members! Head Golf Professional Well the summer months are now upon us and I am very much looking forward to the dry and warmer weather. We have experienced a very wet spring so far, and I appreciate the patience of those who have been playing cart path only. There are a ton of exciting things happening around the club and I am excited to start seeing everyone on a regular basis. We have some great golf tournaments and social events happening this month, and are looking forward to your participation and support. If you haven t seen already we have SOLD OUT the Fox Meadow Opening Day Tournament, as well as the Season Long Individual and Two Man Match Play Tournaments. I just want to thank everyone for their support in the golf tournaments so far. We are currently accepting registration for the Fox Meadow Presidents Cup (May 28th) and Member/ Member Tournament (June 4th & 5th). We have secured 33 teams for the Member/Guest Invitational with a maximum to reach 42 teams. If you would like any more information on any of the golf tournaments please contact the Pro Shop. We will begin registration for the Thursday Night Ladies Lite League which will kick off June 2nd. This is a league for ALL types of membership to grow in the game of golf and share the experience with other ladies who have like-minded goals. This is a fun, easy-going, and social environment which is great for a beginner or someone getting back into the game. We will also have our registration day (May 22nd) for the 2016 Jr. Golf Program. This is a 10 week program with instruction, etiquette, and on-course experience for your child or grandchild. We will have two different sessions for the program this year so that we can ensure a better teacher-student ratio. It will be imperative for us to be able to evaluate your Jr. Golfer so we know which session will be best suited for that individual. The 2016 Trail Fee Stickers are now available. If you are private cart owner, and wish to use your personal cart on the course, there are a few things that need to happen. You will need to purchase the Trail Fee Pass for You will also have to show proof of insurance to the pro shop. We will not allow any carts that are not registered in the pro shop to be used on the course starting May 1st we will be enforcing this rule as it is a liability of the club. If anyone has any questions please contact the Pro Shop. All carts must be in good working order, electric powered and acceptable tires as well. I am looking forward to a great season of golf! 11 Golf Course News Jeremy Slota Golf Course Superintendent Membership of Fox Meadow: May is a very busy month for the Greens and Grounds Department. As all of you know, our Opening Day Scramble is Saturday, May 7th and we have been accomplishing a variety of tasks to make sure it is a great event for all. Some of the things that we have been working on are: Finalization of the TORO Irrigation Programming We have begun (and weather permitting, finish) our rough Herbicide application, both pre & post emergence. As of May 1st, the front 9 has been sprayed. We have made our 3 PGR (growth regulator) applications for Poa control. Several weeks ago, we charged up the irrigation system. Currently there are minor repairs that need made. Landscaping renovations have been completed by #1 tee, headed toward the Driving Range. We are underway with freshening up in front of the Clubhouse, and the parking area at the Driving Range. The catch basin on #11, as you enter the tunnel, has been repaired. Thank you all for your cooperation during the time period it took to make this MUCH needed repair. We resurfaced the bridge on #5. The chipping green has been re-sodded to a smaller size, while the bunker remains the same size. Future renovations are coming to that particular area, so as to utilize the space even better. We have once again inter-seeded the tees that we felt were still a little behind. Bentgrass seed is in the ground already, but will need soil temperatures to come up so that growth will start. The extra seed will only aid in the recovery process. Those inter-seeded tees will also get a treatment of Sweet Peat to increase seed establishment. #13 Pro tee has been rough graded with the next step being final grade and seeding toward the end of the month. As many of you know, the weather has been all over the board. It makes it very difficult for us to mow certain areas (including spraying) of the golf course because of the saturated ground. The rough for example is one of those areas. Spring always is a challenge to get on the rough because it s typically soaking wet and you have the flush of growth. It s no different this year. Our rough mower weighs in at 2.5 tons and our sprayer at full capacity weighs in just over 2.5 tons! This is why you may not see us out mowing or spraying while many local landscapers are. The ground cannot handle that weight when it s very wet. The health, playability, and aesthetics of the golf course are our main focus. We understand that CPO (Cart Path Only) is not the most popular option when wanting to play a round of golf, but please know that we are very grateful for your cooperation. We hope to see all of you out enjoying the golf course very soon.
