5 From the General Manager Brian Wolbers General Manager Greetings Fox Meadow Members! We are moving into my favorite time of year! Halloween, falling leaves, cooler temperatures, and lots going on at Fox Meadow Country Club. Halloween has always been a special time at the Club, and JR, Chris, Brittany, Andy, and the gang have a spooky month in store for all! Our last tournament of the year is Saturday, October 3rd, for Jeremy s Superintendent s Revenge. His evil twin is setting up the course Saturday, so come on out and enjoy an unorthodox round of golf. Next weekend, our first Celebrity Bartender Night in quite some time will take place Friday, October 9th. Our Browns tailgate parties will continue on into October, with parties on the 11th, 18th, and 25th. Near Halloween we have our Haunted House on Friday the 23rd, Kids Pumpkin decorating on the 24th, and our annual Trick-or-Treat Night with Buffet on the 28th. We will be decorating the Clubhouse into next week, and we look forward to seeing all the Fox Meadow Ghouls over the next few weeks. We are continuing to make improvements to our Club and we strive to get better each and every day. My thanks go out to you for your patience while we instill these changes. My thanks go out to the Membership for lending your support as we work to make these changes routine. My department heads and I are striving daily to provide you with a Club that we all can be proud of. Happy Leaf-Peeping and I will see you at the Club!

But, that will not stop us from all of the fun coming in the month of October, including all of the beautiful decorations! With that being said, stop reading this and call all your golfing buddies, family members, colleges and neighbors and bring them to Your Club! Remember, Fall Golf is the Best Golf! We have already had two Members refer their friends to their Club who will benefit from our Fall Promotion! We enrolled three new families and welcomed back one family to the Fox Meadow family in September; please join me in welcoming the Platzbecker Family, the Wendt Family, the Larson Family and welcoming back the Boyd Family! The Platzbecker family moved into the Fox Meadow development at the end of last year and joined the Club as Full Golf Members. Mr. Platzbecker is the Sales Director for Tetra Pak Inc. and Mrs. Platzbecker is an RN at Akron Children's Hospital. The Platzbecker s were referred to the Club by Kevin and Cindy Valentine as well as Brad and Margo Potts. Since Mr. and Mrs. Valentine are Full Golf Members, with the Fall Promotion, they will be receiving 50% off of their Trail Fee in 2016! The Wendt family lives in Medina and Mr. Wendt use to work at Fox Meadow back in 1997 when it first opened! Mr. Wendt was very excited to revisit and join the Club. The Wendt family joined as Junior Full Golf Members. Mr. Wendt is a Regional Director at Exacta Card Surveying. The Larson family recently moved into the Fox Meadow development and joined the Club as Full Golf Members. Mrs. Larson is the Regional Vice President for BI Worldwide. The Larson s were referred to the Club by Tim and Brigid Turrittin. Since Mr. and Mrs. Turritin are Full Golf Members, with the Fall Promotion, they will be receiving 50% off of their Trail Fee in 2016! We have a lot of fun events this month including our Annual Halloween Buffet & Trickor-Treat Event! Please contact me by phone or to make your reservations! I recently took over the Private Event section of the Club. If you would like to host a birthday party, holiday party, dinner party, ANY party, please contact me as I would love to meet with you and make your event the best one yet! 8 Golf Shop News Chris Lawson Head Golf Professional October is here and I am hoping we have some decent weather. The greens and the tee boxes have now been punched, and they are looking better every day. With the warm afternoon sun, and no frost delay s, we will be in for a treat for the rest of the season. With October also brings HALF PRICED GUEST FEES!!!! $45+tax for 18 holes (with a cart), and $25 for 9 holes (with a cart). A friendly reminder that a guest is only permitted to the play the course 6 times throughout the calendar year. Also, there is only one guest per member, before 10:00 in the morning. If you plan on playing golf at any time, please stop into the pro shop and check in. There are a number of members who continue to tee off without checking in. For those of you that have won Pro Shop credit, now is the best time of year to spend it. We will have some fall merchandise arriving over the next few weeks. We also can special order anything you may want and need. Please note that we currently have order capability to order Foot Joy, Titleist, Under Armor, Adidas, Ashworth, Travis Matthew, and others. Also I have started to notice a lot of members in need of a NEW golf shirt. For the month of October, all Foot Joy shirts will be 30% off of the retail price. 10 Clubhouse News Andy Warstler Clubhouse Manager It s that time of the year again! The weather is cooling down and yet no one has asked me to join them in Florida! Although our Cleveland sports teams are not very good, you can always rely on Fox Meadow for a fun and enjoyable time! Speaking of fun and enjoyable, thank you to all of our Members who joined us for the Clambake this past Wednesday! The food looked amazing...i wish I was allowed to join you all. We are welcoming back some of our favorite events this month, including Celebrity Bartender on Friday, October 9th (we will announce the celebrity bartender at a closer date), Adult Cooking Class with JR on Wednesday, October 14th and Children s Pumpkin Decorating Party on Saturday, October 24th. Of course, we will also be hosting everyone s all time favorite events like the Adult Halloween Party and the Annual Halloween Buffet & Trick-or-Treat Event. If you have not participated in these events in the past, make sure to get your reservations in early as the spots will fill up very quickly! The Halloween Buffet will begin at 5:30PM. After dinner, hayrides will pick all of the children and parents up at the Clubhouse at 6:45PM and take everyone to the Country Lakes for Trick-or-Treating. The hayrides will leave the Country Lakes promptly at 8:00PM and bring everyone back to the Clubhouse. Please remember, the Clubhouse will close once everyone is boarded the hay wagons*. New this year, we will be having a Haunted House on the Patio! We will be transforming the patio area into a Spooky Haunted House that will be sure to leave you with thrills and chills! But don t worry, it will be appropriate for the little ones too! As a friendly reminder, although it may be painful to watch our Cleveland Browns, we will still be hosting the Tailgate Patio Parties on Sunday, October 11th, 18th and 25th! I better see you all there! As a side note, I would like to thank everyone for their support in my new role as the Clubhouse Manager. I am working the all of the staff to make sure that the experience you receive at Fox Meadow exceeds the expectations that you all have for a Premiere Country Club.
