Seating is limited to 120 people and reservations must be made by Friday, December 22nd. Any cancellations after December 26 th or any no-shows will be charged full amount. Everyone is responsible for his or her own reservations and cancellations. Tuxedo Junction Formalwear will be at Maumelle CC on Wednesday, December 13 th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to fit the gentlemen who would like tuxedos. Maumelle members will receive a discount. A $20 deposit will be required at fitting and you must pick up your tuxedo Dear Members, at their store located on Chenal Parkway. 2 Dear Members, The Holiday Season is upon us. December marks a slowdown to activities on the golf course, but the food and beverage operation picks up the slack with numerous member and outside holiday functions. The Board is working hard to finalize the operating budget for Our focus is to operate with a positive cash flow while maintaining the quality of course conditions, making small repairs & improvements to the clubhouse, improving service and increasing our membership numbers. This will be our goal for I would like to thank everyone who attended the most recent Town Hall meeting on November 27 th regarding the latest developments on the peninsula. Hopefully, everyone now has a clear picture of what is involved in the legal process and the hurdles that both sides will have to overcome. Your Board is committed to protecting our valuable asset and can only accomplish this goal with help from the membership. Please take time to review the pledge letter that you recently received and strongly consider becoming involved! In closing, I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday and when we have a nice day encourage everyone to frequent the Club and bring your guests to enjoy the course. Since the holiday season is a time to give thanks for what we have, I would like to thank our Department Heads and their staff for their hard work and dedication to the Maumelle Country Club. Thank you, Cimarron, Jason, Lisa, Wayne, Monica, Chef Tony and all the staff! I would also like to thank the membership for their support and I am looking forward to a great 2007! Your President, Lynn Dickey MWGA NEWS Our Christmas luncheon will be held Wednesday, December 6 th, at 11:30 AM. This is our final meeting with awards to be presented as we sip complimentary mimosas and fight over the best gift to be exchanged. The membership voted to bring a gift valued at $15. We are also requesting donations of cash, food, or paper items for Hope Alliance. 3 Manager s Message The holiday season is here and as always, MCC will be very busy! The Christmas Holiday Brunch & Children s Christmas Party is December 3 rd, The Pro Shop Christmas Party is December 5 th, the Eskimo Tournament is December 9 th & 10 th and the New Year s Eve Gala is December 31 st. In addition to these Member functions, we also have numerous private parties scheduled throughout the month of December. Please reference your calendar so that you will be aware of all that is happening this month! Special thanks to those members who participated in the Deck the Walls Silent Auction on November 9 th. Everyone had a great time and proceeds from the silent auction items will go towards improving the décor in the Mixed Grill! I would like to extend my sincere appreciation & gratitude to all of the staff at MCC who worked so hard this year for the betterment of the Club. I would like to encourage all members to contribute to the employee Christmas bonus fund! This is a great way to show your appreciation for a job well done! Your generosity is very much appreciated! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to serving you again in 2007! Have a safe and happy holiday season! Cimarron Grubb General Manager To the Members: Once a year the members have an opportunity to show their appreciation to the employees by contributing to the employees Christmas bonus fund. This has been a tradition at MCC for over 30 years through the generosity of the members. The contribution is only $25. Out of the monies received, all Club employees will receive an annual bonus based on length and quality of employment to Maumelle Country Club. All members will be billed on their November 30th, 2006 statement for this bonus. If you do not wish to contribute, please call the club office and we will deduct this charge from your account. The employees appreciate the member s contributions to the employee Christmas bonus and look forward to serving the members again in Attention Private Cart Owners EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH NOVEMBER Congratulations to Corey McCuien MCC Housekeeping Staff Thanks for a great job and keep up the hard work! The 2007 trail fee of $ plus tax will be billed on your December 31, 2006 statement. Members may elect to pay their trail fees in three equal payments. If you would like this option, please contact the club office prior to December 31, 2006 or your account will be billed the full amount. If you paid a trail fee in 2006 but do not wish to continue using your private cart in 2007, please contact the club office prior to December 31, 2006.

4 From the Pro Shop With the Christmas shopping season in full swing, we invite you to visit our award winning Pro Shop for all1616of your holiday golfing needs. We offer hassle free shopping, free gift-wrapping with each purchase, competitive prices and courteous service. Savings begin on November 24 th and continue through December 23rd. Make plans to attend the annual Pro Shop Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 5 th, from 6:00pm-9:00pm. BIG SAVINGS are in store for that night and we will be providing complimentary beer & wine along with a few tasty snacks while you shop. ***REMINDER All Pro Shop credit must be used by December 31 st *** Eskimo Tournament credit will be extended through January 31 st, 2007 A new set of Ping irons is being raffled this year. Stop by and take a chance to win big this holiday season! With the change in daylight savings time & temperature, there have been a few changes we would like to make you aware of. As of December 1 st, all iron & fairway wood shots are to be hit from the driving range mats. You may hit drivers on the left side of the driving range. Also, Jason and the Greens Committee have made the decision to restrict carts to PATHS ONLY for the remainder of the winter beginning December 12 th.. We appreciate your cooperation! The Eskimo Tournament is scheduled for December 9 th & 10 th and we have a full field with 48 teams. Thanks for the great participation! The Iditarod will be held on the evening of December 9 th. This is a fun night of pari-mutuel wagering, tasty hors d oeuvres & cocktails. It will be held in the Men s Locker Room and is open to nonparticipants for $ Come out and enjoy a good time and take a chance on which team will finish Win, Place or Show. Cimarron & Dustin Pro Shop Christmas Party Tuesday, December 5 th 6:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Make plans to attend the Golf Shop Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 5 th. Complimentary Wine and Beer along with a few tasty snacks will be available for you while you shop! Discounts will be available that evening and we will be providing gift-wrapping with each purchase! Golf Course Update Winter is almost here! With the cold weather comes the dreaded frost delay! To sum it up, when frost forms on the turf, cell walls in the leaf blade freeze. Any pressure on the plant can rupture these cell walls, seriously damaging the plant. When frost forms on our greens we need to keep all traffic off of them. Once the green is clear we can begin our maintenance and our course set up. I can assure everyone I will always open the course as soon as physically possible. Our bunker project is underway and we will continue going from hole to hole until completed. We will do all we can not to disrupt play. However, the crew will be working through play so please be prepared for the occasional minor distraction. If your ball ever lands in a bunker that is being renovated please play it as Ground Under Repair. NOTICE Christmas Holiday Closing In accordance1840 to the rules and regulations of the Club, the clubhouse and pro shop will be closed December 24 th & 25 th, but the golf course will be open for play. We ask that ALL groups wait until 10:00 a.m. before teeing off. Club carts will not be available for rent on these days.no EXCEPTIONS. If you store your cart in the cart shed, we ask that you please close and lock the cart barn door behind you. We do not want to take the chance of vandalism or theft. If you plan on having a guest with you, we ask that you register your guest by Saturday, December 23 rd. Please abide by these rules, as there will be no staff here during the day.
