The golfing simulator purchased last November has been very popular! And we are planning to keep the simulator up and running at least through the month of April to offset the unpredictable spring weather of southwest Montana. So if it gets snowy, rainy or cold; you will still be able to keep your swing finely tuned by getting some indoor rounds in. We are also adding another club to our ongoing reciprocal list. Briarwood Country Club in Billings will join Meadowlark in Great Falls, Green Meadow in Helena, and Missoula Country Club in a reciprocal arrangement with Riverside. This means you are able to play at these courses without paying green fees. And carts, food and other purchases can be put on your Riverside account and billed to your statement. The reciprocal arrangement is a great value added to your golf membership. Please make your tee time requests through our golf pros and they will contact the reciprocal club. Get out and enjoy some play on these other courses! A healthy membership base is the lifeblood of any club. To encourage membership growth, we will be offering reduced joining fees for all golf memberships from March 1 st to June 30 th. In addition, all new golf members will receive a gift of three 18-hole guest passes; and the sponsoring member will receive both a $50 Riverside gift card and a $50 gift card to the Spa Ridge! 5 5 Tuesday April 4th 6:00 Dinner $55 + per person ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY Wednesday March 29th. NO EXCEPTIONS. Riverside will be flying in fresh Maine lobsters for this event. All you have to do is tell us how many lobsters you'll be eating and we'll supply the rest. There will be someone there explaining how to eat whole lobsters, Meals will be served family-style...meaning we'll have 3-4 tables with diners at each table. It's a way to meet more of your members and have a wonderful time. Because Riverside has to pre-order the lobsters ahead of time, cancellations will result in a charge to your member account. 6 6 Back by popular demand Just as chivalry isn't dead, proper etiquette isn t either. If you re already employing etiquette tips in your child s life, congratulation, Miss Manners would be proud. If you re slacking, here is a great opportunity for your children. Sign the kids up for an etiquette dinner series with Ms. Mandy. We will meet two nights to have dinner and cover the basics of dining etiquette. This is a once-a-year event, class sizes are limited and age categories are enforced. 7 7 Do you want to know where your child will have the most enjoyable and rewarding summer? At camp! Camp is a special place where friendship, fun and festivities coincide to create memories that will last well beyond the summer months. Camp Riverside, for campers ages 4 to 10, is that special place. The best part it is right here at our Club! Camp Riverside offers a traditional day camp experience in the convenient and familiar setting of our club atmosphere. At camp, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities including Swimming, Group Golf Instruction, Group Tennis Instruction, Arts & Crafts, Fun with Foods, Team Building, Super Science Projects, A Weekly Community Service Project, Wacky Wednesday theme days, Camp Traditions, and more. It is never too early to start planning for summer vacation and registration for Camp Riverside will open on March 1 so get ready to join the fun! Registration is flexible and you may enroll for as many weeks at a time as you like. However, each session is limited to 30 children. Last year we filled up quickly so act fast! The structured camp program operates from 9AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. Camp Riverside prides itself on its dedicated, talented and CPR/First Aid certified all-adult staff. They can defend all screens consistently and with confidence, can lob multiple times in succession, and have sound doubles strategy and court positioning. Mixed Drill Monday 6:00 7:00 PM Tuesday 10:00 11:00 AM Work on a different part of your game every week! Men and women welcomed. Cost: $10.00 Triple Play Get three players and I ll be your fourth! Capital Improvements coming this summer! A new Sun Shade permanent bench and canopy (just like the ones on the upper courts) will be installed this summer between courts 5 & 6. We will also be adding divider netting between the two courts. These additions should make the pickleball and tennis play on the lower courts much more enjoyable. There are four 2016 Demo Rackets that are up for grabs. Players were divided up with the Patriots (Ted Draude, Bobbi Bear, Lisa Reed, Dawn Leadbetter, and Jeff Gilbreath) and the Falcons (Patti Draude, Sue Kirwin, Joel Leadbetter, Keith Reed, and Sheryl Hallin) competing against each other for 4 quarters and an overtime with football scoring. When the final whistle blew (we didn't have quite the level of excitement as the real game!), the Falcons prevailed. Lots of fun had by all!
