1 WATERLOO FORE YOU News for EWGA Waterloo Region members March 2018 Message from your President - Pat Chornaby Hello Waterloo Region Chapter and Happy 20 th Anniversary EWGA Canada. Spring is coming quickly and that means the 2018 golf season will get underway. Your Waterloo Region Chapter board has been busy over the winter season preparing some very special events. Our first outdoor event will be our season opener tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 28 at Rockway Golf Course. Hopefully mother nature will co operate. Your volunteer board is looking forward to seeing everyone at this event to kick start not only our amazing 2018 golf season but also the 20 th Anniversary of EWGA in Canada. More to come so save the date. The winter golf ladies will be winding up their season of indoor golf season at Golf Without limits and have enjoyed the addition of special league nights at Golfplay. Plans are well underway for a special 20 th Anniversary Celebration for all chapters Saturday June 23 at Toronto Ladies Club, more information to follow regarding this awesome event celebrating 20 wonderful years that EWGA has been in Canada. Match Play is a 9-hole game for all players with handicaps and if you do not have a handicap - we will help you get you started. Look for the Match Play table at the April 28th Kick-off and we can answer all your questions. Players can sign up and, weather permitting, golf with your buddies at Doon or Rockway before June arrives!

3 Calling all members that enjoy Scramble EWGA Westchester Scramble Invitational!!! Be a part of this premier golf event and help shape the future of EWGA Scramble competition. This premier event will be an amazing 2-day Scramble competition at a first-class venue with a bunch of funloving gals, but more importantly, it will serve to pilot a new Scramble format that we are proposing to be used by EWGA National in future Championship events, or even in a separate Scramble Competition. Why not get a team together, and try this out? Did you know that EWGA has been established in Canada for 20 years! We plan to celebrate. There is a group of volunteers from the Canadian chapters that are planning a special event, and we want as many members to participate as possible.
