1 The Morning Line Dear Members, This past Sunday, May 17th, we held our Spring Community Open House. The event was a success as 64 cars came through the gates and approximately 80 guests viewed the 19 homes that participated in the event. In addition, 35 Realtors and prospective buyers attended The Beach House function following the Open House; it was a great way to feature our beautiful beachfront property. The Marketing and Membership Committee facilitated 10 amenity tours and overall we received favorable feedback from the real estate community. All Association Board and Committee meetings are open to the membership. Golf Course Construction- Thursday, May 28th at 9:00am (GH) Beach House & Amenity Construction-Thursday, May 28th at 10:30am (GH) elacora has settled in and will be at The Gate House on Mondays- Wednesdays 10:00am-5:00pm, Saturdays 11:00am-5:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm-5:00pm. Other Happenings Around The Planation Due to the holiday weekend, please remember to carpool when driving to the Beach House Memorial Day Dining Monday, May 25 th Both the Plantation House and the Beach House will be open for lunch from 11:30pm 3:00pm and both bars will be open till 5:00pm. Extended Beach House Hours: Beginning next week, the Beach House will be open on Thursday evenings and open for lunch on Fridays. 8 Tennis Plantation Tennis Facility What a great shot of the tennis facility here at The Plantation. We ve continued to see growth in play through the first four months of play. Our Pro Shop is eagerly expecting upgrades, too. New lounge furniture and a retail display piece for sale items are expected in this week. Stop by to look at some sales, have a coffee and enjoy some of the tennis. It s going to look just as good on the inside as it does from above! Call Jeff at (904) with any questions or assistance in registering. Chuck Wilson gets FL State Ranking Chuck played in a National Qualifier at Sawgrass Country Club and did well. His wins earned him enough points to be ranked 36th in the state of Florida in the Men s 55 & over division. Chuck s going to have to travel around Florida a little and win some matches to improve his mark. Florida sanctioned tournaments are mostly in Daytona Beach and Orlando. The more rounds you win in tournaments the more points you get to improve your ranking. Junior Team Tennis Event Captain-Brianne Toole took our 12 s Junior Team to Julington Creek last weekend for a match. Lilly Toole was the only 8yr old at the event and handled it! Thomas Cush played solid, too, as the team tied for 3rd. Emma Toole (9yr old) was using our clinic singles strategies to hang tough with a 12 year old boy. Great matches and great experience for our young squad!

9 Tennis Ladies Tri Level Summer Team is Officially Registered / Roster Still Open A great summer league! It is 3 lines of doubles that face other clubs. Line 1 is the 3.5 level (Advanced Intermediate), line 2 is 3.0 (intermediate) and line 3 is 2.5 (advanced beginner). The matches will start in June and be played at home and away at 9:30am. Make sure your USTA Membership is current and good through the end of summer. The Tennis Pro Shop will be given the team number shortly that Jeff will pass on, so that you can sign up.
