Numbered vests for the races will be delivered to your barn and must be worn when bringing your horses into the paddock. Thank You. 3 Horsemen are reminded that Kentucky regulation 810 KAR 1:028 Section 2()provides that when claiming a horse, the claiming trainer has the option of requesting the claimed horse be sent to the Test Barn for post-race testing. The request must be submitted with the claim form at the time the claim is made. The cost of testing is $150, which will be withdrawn from the claimant's account by the Horsemen's Bookkeeper. (Testing will not be performed if payment is not received). The regulation also provides that a claimant may elect to void a claim if a Class A, B or C medication violation is detected in the post-race sample of a claimed horse. Horsemen are advised to consult the regulation to review all the requirements contained in the rule. Lasix will be administered by KHRC Veterinarians (no less than 4 hours). The correct regulation is available in the Racing Office and at the Stable Gate. There has been NO change to the Lasix regulation since it was implemented in Oct of By order of the Stewards: To add or remove Cheek Pieces, permission must be obtained from the Starter and the change must be declared at time of entry. Check cashing services is available to those that need it at the US Bank branch on the frontside of the racetrack every day the track is open from 11 am to 5 pm.
