Best watched in this line-up No form to go on to in the opener so the betting could provide the best guide to the chances of these unraced fillies. Well related (1) DEREMAH could, on pedigree, be something special. (4) JOYERIA holds fancy entries so warrants the utmost respect, as do (8) DAME DE SANG and (3) VODKA DOUBLE who represent formidable trainer-jockey partnerships. (2) ZAWIYLA is another to consider. 3 Race 2 1. FIXED RATE - Well related Oasis Dream colt owned by Khalid Abdullah. Could shape on debut 2. RECEPTIVE - Khalid Abdullah's Afleet Alex first-timer to be ridden by Thierry Thulliez 3. SHALAKAR - Nicely bred Aga Khan Cape Cross colt out of Shalanaya. The mount of Christophe Soumillon 4. SHAMSHAD - Another Aga Khan newcomer, by Sea The Stars out of none other than Shamakiya 5. MASTER RING - Maxime Guyon rides this son of Dalakhani on debut for trainer Pia Brandt 6. ART DE VIVRE - Rip van Winkle colt, related to useful Laseen. Worth considering on debut 7. KING OF WARSAW - Yohann Gourraud's newcomer by Le Havre and to be ridden by Cristian Demuro 8. FASTNET VAGANOVA - Fastnet Rock colt who represents the formidable combination of Pasquier and Clement 9. GALAPIAT - Notable first-timer by Galileo from the powerful yard of Andre Fabre. 10. RED ROCKY - Rock Of Gibraltar newcomer out of Sparkling Star to be ridden by Emmanuel Etienne 11. ESCLANDRE - Colt by Epsom Derby winner Pour Moi making his debut The Aga Khan have a strong hand here with nicely bred duo (3) SHALAKAR and (4) SHAMSHAD. The former is preferred, on riding arrangements, with Christophe Soumillon set to do duty in the irons. Andre Fabre is represented by Galileo newcomer (9) GALAPIAT whose chances must be respected. (5) MASTER RING, (1) FIXED RATE and (2) RECEPTIVE are others to consider. (3) SHALAKAR - (4) SHAMSHAD - (9) GALAPIAT - (5) MASTER RING

4 Race 3 1. LA ZAMTOFF - Improving filly, winner her only start this year which was over this trip. Leading contender 2. RUNNING WATERS - In good form at this level and should make her presence felt once more. Include 3. ASTRAL MERIT - Recent form in this grade doesn't inspire any confidence. Unlikely 4. FIFTY GOLD - Returned to form last time with a win in a similar contest. Can feature if reproducing that run 5. COISA BOA - Progressive filly with solid form before a break. Must improve to be competitive, but has scope to do so 6. AMIGA INTIMA - Erratic form in weaker grades over shorter trips. Unlikely winner in this line-up 7. WHOOLAHRA - May have needed last start when returning from a rest. Needs to improve to feature 8. PAMPA BRIGHT - Began her career with a hat-trick of wins but has lost her way since. More to do here 9. ZAKARIANE - Creditable 5th in a similar contest 2 starts back. Can have a big say in this line-up if reproducing that run 10. DACTILO - Disappointing last run at this level but was in good form prior to that. Chance on best form 11. QUEEN FOSOOL - Below best against weaker last time. Did finish 2nd in only start at this level so could surprise 12. NACHILA - In good form but has found the going tough in this grade. Has a place chance 13. CHRISTAL HOUSE - Well beaten in both starts this year at this level. Cannot be fancied on current form 14. PRINCESS CHARLOTTE - Returned to form in a weaker race last time but has placed at this level. Outside chance 15. CLEAR MIND - Recent form does not inspire any confidence. Would do well to earn a cheque 16. FIDJI D'ARCIS - Recent runs at this level are not encouraging. Cannot be recommended

5 Lightly raced (9) ZAKARIANE ran with merit in her only start at this level and, with scope for further improvement, could have a big say. (2) RUNNING WATERS makes considerably more appeal than stable companion (14) PRINCESS CHARLOTTE and must be included. (10) DACTILO is forgiven a disappointing last start and can bounce back. (1) LA ZAMTOFF cannot be ignored either. (9) ZAKARIANE - (2) RUNNING WATERS - (10) DACTILO - (1) LA ZAMTOFF - (12) NACHILA

6 Race 4 1. BELGA BERE - Disappointing last start at this venue in a similar contest. Needs to do more 2. TURTLE BEACH - In decent form but in weaker races. Place chance at best in this line-up 3. MISS POST OFFICE - Can be excused last start in a stronger race. Could find the frame on best form 4. TOTTEBOURG - Consistent sort with solid form and should be very competitive. One to beat 5. BEATA - Has shown ability in her short career. Could contest with further improvement likely 6. ISETTA - Versatile sort with consistent form over jumps and on the flat. Place chance 7. WINTER MAGIC - Overdue form return in weaker race last time. Could find the frame if building on that run 8. MAUNY - Boasts solid form in similar contests on the turf. Can make her presence felt 9. SPECTACULAR CITY - Well tried seven-year-old mare who has been supplemented for this contest. Place chance Consistent (4) TOTTEBOURG boasts solid form in similar contests over staying trips and should be very competitive. She's the one to beat. (5) BEATA has shown early promise and can contest the outcome with further expected. 7 Race 5 1. GREEN FOCUS - Not disgraced when unfancied on debut and could improve to find the frame. 2. RIEN QUE POUR TOI - Would have an outside place chance if improving on a better recent effort. 3. MELODORA - Made an encouraging debut over the course and distance. Will improve and must be included 4. TIFFANY ROSE - Did show promise on debut in July last year. Could well improve but may need the run 5. ANGEL ERIA - Showed useful ability last year and should build on a creditable comeback effort. Be right there 6. RED SHINE - Better recent effort and could make the frame if showing further progress 7. MARRON - Has been well beaten in weaker races so makes little appeal in this line-up 8. ROMANTIC DREAMS - Runner-up last time over course and distance in a similar contest. Can contest if repeating that run 9. SAND GLORY - Returns from a rest after showing some ability last year, including a 3rd over track and trip 10. MAYBERAIN - Made an encouraging return to action over further last time. Eachway chance 11. ROYAL ASPEN - Has progressed with each outing and ran her best race over track and trip last time. Has claims (5) ANGEL ERIA made an encouraging return from a rest, having shown ability last year, and would have come on since. With further improvement expected, she'll be the one to beat. (8) ROMANTIC DREAMS and (11) ROYAL ASPEN ran their best races last time and will have more to come too. (3) MELODORA should build on a promising debut to be competitive. (5) ANGEL ERIA - (8) ROMANTIC DREAMS - (11) ROYAL ASPEN - (3) MELODORA

8 Race 6 1. SUPER NOTHING - Capable 5-time winner but his best recent form is on the fibresand. Place chance 2. PRORISKS - Veteran 10-year old with improved recent form. Winner of his last start which was at this level 3. MIGNOLINO - Excuse disappointing last run in stronger race. Will be competitive in this grade 4. FLAVIO FORTE - German visitor down in grade here. Winning claims with Soumillon aboard 5. ORANGEFIELD - Recent form does not inspire much confidence but is capable and has been supplemented 6. MOIETY - Discouraging recent form in weaker races. Cannot be fancied on current form 7. MY APPROACH - Has lost his way since showing early promise. Needs to bounce back 8. SNOWDROP FLYER - Showed promise last year during a consistent campaign. May need the run returning from a rest 9. ROYAL ASPIRATION - Ran with merit over this trip 2 starts back. Has been supplemented so warrants respect 10. ZAFIRAH - Cannot be fancied on recent form but could pop up if at her best German visitor (4) FLAVIO FORTE brings decent form in stronger races to this contest and could take advantage of a drop in grade with Christophe Soumillon in the irons. (3) MIGNOLINO is better than his last run in stronger company suggests and would have every chance if reproducing the form which saw him win consecutive races over this trip. (4) FLAVIO FORTE - (3) MIGNOLINO - (5) ORANGEFIELD - (2) PRORISKS

9 Race 7 1. GAMOUDIYA - Boasts consistent form in stronger races. Should be very competitive despite top-weight 2. BEST FILLY - Has scope to improve but would need to do so to win. Place chance 3. BRACOEUR - Not very reliable but certainly capable of finding the frame if reproducing her run of 3 starts back 4. KING DREAM - Better efforts recently but need to build on that to have any chance. 5. NO SELL - Consistent form on the fibresand and runner-up over further on the turf last time. Place chance 6. SINABOY - Last start his best but that was on the fibresand and he'll need to improve turf form 7. SHAPUR - Improved recent form over further but may find this too sharp. Will be running on 8. LADY WULFRUNA - May have found 1200m a touch too sharp last time and has leading claims back over this trip 9. DEER BERE - Two 4th-place finishes were his best efforts, but those were in stronger races. Consider 10. TOTALLY WHITE - Consistent sort and in good form. Will be competitive once more. 11. MEADRA - Has found form over this trip and can contest if reproducing her last run. 12. BROOKE - Poor form in 3 starts this year. Cannot be recommended 13. MY AFFAIR LADY - Yet to show any signs of promise in 5 starts. Unlikely winner (8) LADY WULFRUNA will appreciate a return to 1600m and should run an improved race. Consistent (10) TOTALLY WHITE looks a threat on current form and should be competitive once more. (11) MEADRA has found form recently and could make her presence felt over this trip, while in-form (1) GAMOUDIYA warrants respect, despite top-weight, and is another to consider.

11 Race 8 1. ROYAL VATI - Showed enough on debut to suggest he could have ability. Can improve to feature in this line-up 2. BOHEMIEN - Made good improvement when dropped in trip last time. Could make the frame 3. BECQUAGEMME - Returned in good order this year and is most effective over the shorter trips. Be involved 4. POET'S ROCK - Has shown fair ability in similar contests and could improve to have a say. 5. CRACKER'STAR - Well tried individual with moderate form. High unlikely to trouble the market leaders 6. DARING LION - Disappointing recent effort but could make the frame if building on earlier promise 7. SECRETJIM - Not been disgraced in slightly better races and could improve here. Place chance 8. RANGE OF KNOWLEDGE - Has less scope than his market rivals but could make his experience count. Eachway chance 9. JUJAK - Would need to improve on what he's shown to date to have any chance 10. MEGHWAR - Showed promise in 2 of his 3 starts in the UK. May need the run after a rest but can improve 11. DYLAN BERE - No form to recommend. Unlikely winner 12. LOUISDARGENT - Runner-up over the course and distance last time. Still improving, one to beat. (12) LOUISDARGENT made good improvement from the 1st to 2nd start when finishing runner-up over the course and distance. He would have improved since and will take a power of beating. (3) BECQUAGEMME ran his best race last time and has claims, if building on that effort. (1) ROYAL VATI can improve to feature while (8) RANGE OF KNOWLEDGE can put a disappointing recent effort behind him to be competitive. 13 LYON-PARILLY - 19th May Trainer of the day : Emmanuel Clayeux (107, 106, 101, 303) Driver of the day : Gabriele Gelormini (410, 810) Horse of the day : Banquière (809) Dark Horse : Ténor d'elaver (104) Race 1 1. TANGO LIDO - Seldom far from the action under these conditions and must be considered a solid place prospect 2. UKETA - Appears to have come into his own in cross-country competition. Left fine impression last month and looks to have a decent chance 3. TETETCORDE HUGAUX - Outclassed in better company last month but previously finished placed behind Avant Garde when giving away 6kg. Claim 4. TENOR D'ELAVER - Cross specialist that has form here. Ran out convincing winner on seasonal comeback and could prove a spoiler 5. VIEUX GARCON - Made decent progress last time out and never one to be underestimated 6. AVANT GARDE - Useful sort that made good impression in this discipline early March and is expected to have come on for the run. Claim 7. BLAGUE PAS - Has shown very good aptitude for this code and comes here off convincing win last month. Steps up but can still impose 8. UNGARO ROQUE - Returned to the track last month after 15 months absence. Made little impression and looks to have too much to do here Emmanuel Clayeux looks to have this wrapped up sending out a trio of solid hopes with recent winner (7) BLAGUE PAS leading the charge. (6) AVANT GARDE did well at the first time of asking while stablemate (1) TANGO LIDO has already won over course and distance in better company. (3) TETETCORDE HUGAUX is no slouch in this code and with two races back he is not far from recapturing previous form. (7) BLAGUE PAS - (6) AVANT GARDE - (1) TANGO LIDO - (3) TETETCORDE

15 Race 2 1. BABEL'S BOOK - Made good progress in this class at Nantes a month back and should once again give a good account 2. JUST FOR LOVE - First time left-handed but showed great courage when winning off top weight early April and is expected to acquit himself respectably 3. BOXEUR - Came good on her promise when winning easily at Moulins last month. Steps up with legitimate expectations 4. BRONZE SWAN - Facile winner over course and distance fortnight ago and should make the step up with ease. Claim 5. LOVE STREET - Has showed excellent aptitude over the trip to date. Took well to turf last month and should prove the one to beat 6. MESONERA - Has raced decently in claiming category this year but outclassed in Quinte earlier this month. If he can reproduce last summer's form he could be in with a shot 7. HEARTBEAT - Moderate colt that has shown little so far this year and chances appear distinctly limited Given the form Rouget's stable is in it is not easy to imagine the classy (5) LOVE STREET being beaten under these conditions. That said (3) BOXEUR has shown a lot of potential and his recent success sets him up well here. Pantall's (4) BRONZE SWAN impressed when winning over track and trip two weeks ago and should prove dangerous and with the progress (1) BABEL'S BOOK made at Nantes last time he too should not be far off the mark. (5) LOVE STREET - (3) BOXEUR - (4) BRONZE SWAN - (1) BABEL'S BOOK

16 Race 3 1. SOLEIL D'ECAJEUL - Gave fine account over course and distance three weeks ago beating others here. Again top weight but should still play an important role 2. PRINCE OF FIELDS - Stil a maiden from 13 but has proved himself in better company and should come on from recent return run. Claim 3. NUITS PREMIER CRU - Has proven form in the code but fell when challenging last time here and should make amends 4. EMILINE - Has ability in this code and appears back in business following decent 2nd in claiming category. Can prove dangerous 5. THIBAULT - Better sort in the claiming division however looks to be on form and could race into a minor spot 6. CELTIC DREAM - Made modest racecourse debut just last month when well supported. Unlikely to prove a serious threat this time around 7. TATOO COMPRIS - A rather modest sort and will need to show marked improvement to threaten here 8. SAARQOOS - A somewhat ordinary type on the flat and chances limited on his first start over hurdles 9. KARLA MARIA - Showed potential early in her career but has been off the track for 11 months and will need the run 10. RIVER PARIS - Decent aptitude over hurdles but below par last time at Enghien. Drop in category and 66kg will not hurt her chances 11. PEARL SIENNE - Respectable filly that gives her all. Yet to make the frame from six and will have her work cut out (2) PRINCE OF FIELDS is a decent class of horse and although unplaced first start back should come on for the run and put on a good show. (4) EMILINE however left quite a mark at Fontainebleau early April and looks a serious challenger. Top weight will not inconvenience (1) SOLEIL D'ECAJEUL too much as he looks to improve on his recent course and distance third. (3) NUITS PREMIER CRU fell on that occasion when in contention and has every chance of achieving redemption. (2) PRINCE OF FIELDS - (4) EMILINE - (1) SOLEIL D'ECAJEUL - (3) NUITS

18 Race 4 1. DANDY D'URZY - Twice unsuccessful from two and in this contest has little or no chance 2. DON JUAN DES LOGOS - Has yet to enjoy the pleasure of putting in a good performance and no sign that he will do so this time either 3. DOLLY DU CARBONEL - Nothing worth mentioning from six outings to date. Set to remain friendless 4. DEFI D'ECROVILLE - Has done nothing so far to encourage and appears to face an impossible task 5. DANDY KOOL - Disqualified as often as not and not once finished in first three. Can be discounted 6. DREAM TEAM STORY - Modest filly and 4th on her claiming debut however in this company will ned to raise her game 7. DIVA DE BOURGOGNE - Lightly raced filly and more expected from her last time. Can nonetheless acquit herself well 8. DOUDOU DE BLONDEL - Going well of late but in lesser company however a minor place still within his grasp 9. DALY DE SAINT CYR - Has shown a lot of promise but yet to find his feet. Will appreciate these conditions and looks dangerous 10. DROOPY DELADOU - Colt with decent potential and drop in category should work to his advantage. Claim 11. DEAL DES MARCEAUX - Won nicely at sister track earlier in the year. Should fit in well here and must be considered a decent place prospect 12. DUNE D'AVIGNERE - Short on winnings but has not disgraced herself at this level and could trot into a money spot (10) DROOPY DELADOU has shown promise in better company and the drop in category should be enough to open his account. (9) DALY DE SAINT CYR similarly climbs down and looks ready to make up for lost time however (11) DEAL DES MARCEAUX demonstrated decent aptitude early on and if on form could make his presence felt. (12) DUNE D'AVIGNERE has a lot of experience in claimers and although yet to make the frame appears to have her best chance to date.

20 Race 5 1. BESHARA - Improving sort that finished a neck behind Spring Princess over track and trip off level weights last time out. Can once again go close 2. STOHAILA - Looked very ordinary on her career debut here three weeks ago and unlikely to garner much support 3. CHERIFA - Made a respectable racecourse debut late March and given the brief spell comes here fresh and looks capable of giving much more 4. HAYA CITY - One-paced when fancied on racecourse debut mid-april. Has had time to improve and should give a good account 5. IN THE WORLD - Soundly beaten first time out at Chantilly earlier this month and not expected to trouble the judge 6. DIAMOND TARTARE - No closer than fourth from eight starts this year and can be confidently disregarded 7. INGOUVILLE - Yet to show anything from two starts to date and must show marked improvement 8. WINK AND WAVE - Not closer than 7th from two starts and has been off since September. Steps down in category and up in distance and is worth monitoring 9. SPRING PRINCESS - A filly with potential. Beaten by better sorts last time over course and distance and could open her account here 10. DELLA GRATZIA - Racecourse debutante. Pleasantly-bred filly from a decent home and not to be ruled out 11. ETOILE DU MATIN - First time out for this filly. From a decent yard and has a pedigree to get the trip (9) SPRING PRINCESS is on a decent run since returning to the track and her latest third over course and distance augurs well although (1) BESHARA finished close off level weights that time and will be no pushover. (3) CHERIFA was beaten by better types on her debut and has had time to come on while (4) HAYA CITY is well thought of and can make a bigger impact this time around. (9) SPRING PRINCESS - (3) CHERIFA - (1) BESHARA - (4) HAYA CITY

21 Race 6 1. CREOLE DU SABLIER - A particularly modest filly and once again expectations exceeding reality 2. COCA DE BASSIERE - Has failed to make any impression from three career starts and not about to begin on this occasion 3. CLIMAX DE BAPRE - Showing great promise at present and latest effort sets him up nicely here 4. CICERO DU PERRON - Yet to make any impression from three at this venue and chances limited once again 5. CELEBRITY OAKS - Not short of ability but has a character. Too unreliable to engender much trust 6. CHARLINE LADY - Showed a lot last year under harness although unraced since October. Hind shoes off though and not to be underestimated 7. CALEDONIE DES IRIS - Showed some potential last year. Recent comeback failed to encourage and lack of experience left-handed will do her no favours 8. CACHOU DES PUYS - Looks a different sort since running barefoot. Shoes off again and looks to have an excellent chance 9. CISSY JAMES - Filly with something to offer and change of trainer should give her a better chance on this occasion 10. CADILA DE VANDEL - Ample ability but complicated. Won last time over similar trip and if applied can go close 11. CATENACCIU - Never far from the action when unshod behind and once again appears to have a decent place chance 12. CHIC ET SMART - Has made good progress since returning to the track however less effective over longer. Regular chance nonetheless 13. CYRUS DE LA COUR - Very useful type but twice sanctioned on last two. If behaved should acquit himself well 14. CACAO - Still a maiden from 23 and still somewhat delicate. Faces a difficult task (3) CLIMAX DE BAPRE may be light on prizemoney but not on promise and if still on form can hit the 50% win mark. (9) CISSY JAMES has a lot going for her and the change of trainer will be no disadvantage however (8) CACHOU DES PUYS pleased on his last start at Nancy and if applied should prove a threat. (10) CADILA DE VANDEL also won her last race and a repeat of her previous Parilly

23 Race 7 1. DJAOUAD - A colt that has demonstrated significant potential and recent runs have done everything to encourage 2. GRAND TRIANON - Well supported on his debut early May but did not show enough then to pose enough of a threat in this company 3. ICARIO - Making respectable progress and should find conditions here to his liking. Place prospect 4. L'OPTIMISTE - Thoroughly beaten on debut earlier this month but from a yard on form and must be respected 5. SHARJAH - Made respectable seasonal bow at Chantilly late April and should acquit himself well over the slightly longer trip 6. FORMENTOR - Twice second from three and latterly over track and trip. On this form should go close 7. MONTE ALEGRE - Has twice run close under similar conditions and should once again generate considerable support 8. AUSTROPOVITCH - Was scheduled to run in different race for his debut. Modestly bred colt and not an obvious pick 9. FABULOUS SPIRIT - Makes career debut. Pedigree does little to promote his chances. Others preferred 10. TACFARINAS - Looks the pick of Scandella's untried trio and will be worth watching (1) DJAOUAD has looked a decent colt since his debut last autumn and recent results look good enough to claim this for himself. (6) FORMENTOR however put in a fine performance here three weeks ago and could yet open his account. (7) MONTE ALEGRE has twice come close here from two and appears to have every chance while hopes are high that (4) L'OPTIMISTE can make a bigger impression than on his debut at the beginning of the month. (1) DJAOUAD - (6) FORMENTOR - (7) MONTE ALEGRE - (4) L'OPTIMISTE

24 Race 8 1. BAD JULRY - Recently overcame a string of disqualifications to show what he is capable of. On good behaviour could make his presence felt 2. BALOU FLEURI - Has shown decent ability so far this year but races fully shod and chances limited 3. BRISE DU BUIS - Not getting home of late although barefoot for the occasion and should show more 4. BRINDILLE DARCHE - Lost her way late last summer and despite recent spell little sign of imminent return to form 5. BOUGNAT - Put in good performance here last time out and with shoes off again will be worth watching 6. BOLIDE MAJOR - Twice a course and distance winner on last two and on current form should put on another good show 7. BACHERRA DU MOULIN - Useful dual-purpose type but less complicated under the saddle and unlikely to generate a lot of interest 8. BOCCADOR - Has a good record here and currently going well.
