EKLA WAY - Tricky type but otherwise gives her best account in this code. Not disgraced over course and distance two weeks ago but still has more to find 2. ELSA DU CAP VERT - Handy sort when applied but has raced just once since June and may need the run 3. ELITE TURGOT - Seldom seen in the discipline but is not without merit. Will however need to show improvement on recent harness effort here 4. EDENE L'AUVERGNIER - Complicated but has talent in spades. Lost out to (12) EVENING STAR here last weekend but should still give a competitive account 5. ENNEIGEE - Still a maiden from 22 but showed a different side to herself when third to (11) EAST RIVER recently. Is barefoot again but still no more than a minor place chance 6. EVITA DU BOURG - Occasionally tricky but a serious sort under the saddle. Good second to (11) EAST RIVER last month and in similar form can again finish in the mix 7. EUREKA DE TILLARD - Good class of filly that has demonstrated excellent aptitude for the specialty. Should be at peak fitness by now and looks the horse to beat 8. ETINCELLE DE ROCHA - Heavily campaigned sort that seldom leaves her mark and is not about to change her ways 9. ETINCELANTE OHEM - Clearly capable but has not done enough lately to be considered a player

2 10. ELEGANTE MIKA - Never the easiest of horses to gauge but can get in on the action if she can reproduce her last ridden performance 11. EAST RIVER - Seldom sets a foot wrong when she can keep her action together. Won with ease last time and if applied can make the frame 12. EVENING STAR - Remarkably effective when barefoot. Unbeaten under the saddle at Vincennes and in present condition can add another victory to her tally Summary After two much-needed lung-openers under harness (7) EUREKA DE TILLARD returns to the discipline in which she excels and if fully fit can have her way. She will however be pitted against the superb (12) EVENING STAR who has won five of six when barefoot - including two over the last month. Just once out of the frame when she can keep her action together (11) EAST RIVER imposed with authority late last month and can also make a big splash. 3 Race 2 1. EROS DU FOSSE - Good consistent servant for the most part. Below-par in a Lyon Class A last time and must find more 2. EUREKA VRIE - Undeniably capable but considerably better in the other code and not a realistic proposition 3. ECHO DE LARRE - Modest type that has done nothing of note outside the claiming division for some time and can be ruled out 4. EZALYO SMART - Quality colt that finished close to (10) ESTEBAN JIEL here a fortnight back. Finally gets to race without hind shoes and could yet spoil the party 5. ELVIS D'EVRON - Not the easiest horse to handle but can make a big splash if he can reproduce his recent performance over track and trip 6. EAGLE LIGNERIE - Complicated individual that has placed just once under harness this year and even with shoes off will have few takers 7. EUGENITO DU NOYER - Blows hot and cold but is better than recent result suggests and if focused can finish in the mix 8. EGO TURGOT - Very hard to fault in recent months when racing unshod all four and Briand would not send him to Paris without a realistic chance of winning 9. EOLE CHRISTUBERT - Drops back in class after a disappointing Gr.2 performance under the saddle and will have nothing to offer 10. ESTEBAN JIEL - Good class of colt with a decent record on the main track. Will have come on for his Vincennes comeback and can have his way this time Summary Ideally placed in terms of earnings (10) ESTEBAN JIEL benefits from a superb entry here. He made an encouraging start to his winter campaign and looks capable of keeping at bay the delicate but talented (5) ELVIS D'EVRON who won a Class C over course and distance with authority late last month. (8) EGO TURGOT has been very impressive since the summer and does not make the long trip to the capital for reasons of tourism. A place behind the selection two weeks ago (4) EZALYO SMART has hind shoes off this time and looks more competitive. 5 Race 3 1. DOCTEUR DE MUZE - Made a fine ridden debut last month but unable to confirm two weeks ago and must show improvement 2. DAHLIA DU PONT - Can prove a handful but is clearly in form. Flew up here last month and with application can double his money 3. DREAMER ANGELE - Occasionally indisciplined but otherwise rarely far from the action. Untried on the main track but in current form looks to have a good hand to play 4. DREAM DE MORGANE - Unremarkable sort that has been struggling of late and recent performances have left a lot to be desired 5. DIDEROT BLUE - Won a brace here last winter but has just one race under his belt this term and will need the run 6. DIADEM BOY - Gives a good account for the most part and is confirmed under these conditions. A beaten third on the short track last time though and must find more 7. DUC QUICK - Good consistent campaigner dropping slightly in category. Stays shod again and looks a decent place chance 8. DERBY D'ANJOU - A veritable metronome in this branch of the business. Will be fresh and can win this 9. DZEUS SAINT-ALFORT - Very hard to knock when he can keep his action together. Won two of last three but no fan of the long course and no more than a minor place prospect 10. DEVIL OR ANGEL - Solid trotter that made quite an impact on ridden debut here last month. Thomain has opted for (2) DAHLIA DU PONT this time but can still pick up some stake money 11. DEFENSEUR D'AM - Moderate type but yet to get into his stride this term and has no realistic chance 12. DIRTY LOVING - Sanctioned in all three starts under the saddle and in present shape will have little to offer Summary A relatively open event this but it is hard to ignore the likes of (2) DAHLIA DU PONT who most recently won by a wide margin on the short course. He can prove tricky but if Thomain can keep him in check they should be able to hold off the ever-consistent (8) DERBY D'ANJOU who will be race-fit by now. (7) DUC QUICK drops marginally in category following a decent effort in better company and returns to Vincennes with legitimate ambition. Very hard to fault in the specialty (3) DREAMER ANGELE will justifiably garner support.

7 Race 4 1. FUN QUICK - Fine servant that consistently gives his best account. Takes a massive hike in class and will not find this an easy test 2. FAITHFUL - Undeniably capable but often indisciplined. Would have fought out the finish in last two had he not lost his stride. On better behaviour can get in on the action 3. FALCAO DE LAURMA - Can prove tricky but otherwise always gives his best. Solid third to (10) FELICIANO late November and in similar form can get a look in 4. FAVORITE FLIGNY - Has been in excellent form over recent months. Won a Gr.3 with attitude a fortnight ago but the big step up in class may be a step too far 5. FANINA DES RACQUES - Mixes the good with the less good but reassured with a fine second to (15) FLY WITH US in the Prix Reine du Corta and if applied can make her presence felt 6. FAKIR DU LORAULT - Pleased more than once at Gr.2 level earlier in the season but is not in the same class as many here and will have his work cut out 7. FABRIZ DU GITE - Third in the Gr.1 Paul Viel earlier in the year but has done little of note since and must improve on latest performance 8. FIGHTER SMART - Gr.1 winner during the summer but less effective since. Inherited 4th place behind (10) FELICIANO last time but if at his best could make the first five 9. FILE GIN - Useful but failed to make much impact in last three. Unseen since early September and chances limited 10. FELICIANO - Occasionally indisciplined but otherwise a very good class of colt. Beaten by (12) FACE TIME BOURBON in the Abel Bassigny before winning the Jacques du Vauloge with authority and is again one of the leading contenders 11. FRIC DU CHENE - Tough type that trotted third in the Abel Bassigny and would have finished fourth in the Jacques du Vauloge had he not faulted. At this level though a minor place chance at best 12. FACE TIME BOURBON - Superb colt that has climbed the class ladder effortlessly. Easily held off (10) FELICIANO in the Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny last month and can do so again. Claim 13. FEND LA BISE - Just one win in 20 starts but always gives her best. Third and fourth respectively in the fillies' preps but in the presence of the colts will have too much to do 14. FOLELLI - Gr.1-winning filly that can blow hot and cold but good third to (15) FLY WITH US in Prix Annick Dreux and will have a part to play 15. FLY WITH US - Complicated but high-class filly that has won all bar one race

8 she has finished. Secured both fillies' preps and despite the presence of some serious colts is still a major player Summary A veritable steamroller since his debut last year (12) FACE TIME BOURBON just keeps getting better and again looks the horse to beat. (10) FELICIANO is a classy individual in his own right but was unable to match him in the Prix Abel Bassigny and may have to play second fiddle once more. Stablemate (15) FLY WITH US regularly displays a lack of discipline but she won both of the preparatory races in good order and will be no pushover. (14) FOLELLI showed marked improvement behind her in the Prix Annick Dreux and will also have her chances. 9 Race 5 1. CANTIN DE L'ECLAIR - In the frame in four of last five. Failed to fire in the race of reference and even with hind shoes off this time will have little to offer 2. CEYLAN DAIRPET - Nothing short of impressive this season. Clear second to Ble Du Gers in a Gr.2 a fortnight ago and has the wherewithal to win this time 3. CLIF DU POMMEREUX - Gives a good account for the most part. Finished a place behind (4) DAY OR NIGHT IN last time and in similar form can pick up some stake money 4. DAY OR NIGHT IN - Serious Swedish trotter with a good Vincennes record. Runner-up to the good Bel Avis in a Class A here two weeks ago and again looks a decent place prospect 5. BAHIA QUESNOT - Pleased more than once over the summer but off the boil since the autumn and can be passed over 6. BOLIDE JENILOU - Back in business since returning to racing barefoot. Fourth in the race of reference and can repeat 7. CARABINIERI - On a roll for past three months. Surprisingly sanctioned over shorter here recently but if applied can figure prominently 8. BALBIR - Handy sort on a good day but in considerably better company here and chances limited 9. ARLINGTON DREAM - A veritable dynamo in the ridden code. Unseen since late September and unlikely to shake things up 10. BILIBILI - High-class horse in the other specialty. Here for reasons of conditioning and no threat 11. VALKO JENILAT - Good class of horse but has failed to shine in either B race this season. Incurs the penalty but if focused can get in on the action Summary At the top of his game since the summer (2) CEYLAN DAIRPET finished second in the Gr.2 GNT final over course and distance two weeks ago. He is 25m better off this time and should be able to bring home the bacon. The in-form (7) CARABINIERI would have finished in the mix here ten days ago had he not faulted but on better behaviour can make amends and go close. (4) DAY OR NIGHT IN finished runner-up that day and although better over shorter can still play an important role. (6) BOLIDE JENILOU has shown marked improvement in recent weeks and will generate interest. Selections

11 Race 6 1. APODIS CHAMP BLANC - Regularly gives his best account but has no particular love for Vincennes and can be passed over 2. AMOUR ENCORE - Has made the frame just once all year and has no realistic chance 3. SURICATO JET - Enjoyed a terrific run during the spring but below-par since. Goes barefoot this time but still not an obvious choice 4. AS D'URFIST - Sprang a surprise when 4th in a Class C last weekend and must be worth a small consideration 5. CAPITAL CHARM - Not at his ease in last two here but has ample ability. Thorel stable in excellent form and with application should not be far off the mark 6. COLORADO BLUE - Not a huge fan of 2700m here but is not short of ability. Raced better last time than the result suggests and should not be ruled out 7. CONCERTO DU RUEL - Not the most dependable but showed improvement under the saddle last time and if form transitions could get a look in 8. CEASAR SISU - Went into his break on a high note but lacklustre on recent reentry and appears to need another outing 9. SPRINGOVER - Began his French career in good order but below-par in last two and must reaffirm 10. VALOKAJA HINDO - Has enjoyed a fantastic run since coming to France. Won with ease on the main track last weekend and can make it five in a row 11. CASTING DE CHENU - Left a very good impression behind a good horse here earlier in the month and in similar form can challenge for a spot on the podium 12. COMTE DU VIVIER - Moderate type that has produced two modest efforts since the spell and must raise his game 13. COFFEE LOOK D'EAM - Hardy sort with form at a superior level. Will be fully fit by now and can make a big impact 14. COLT DES ESSARTS - Serious type that seldom lets the side down. Boasts a very good record under these conditions and could even win this 15. CANDIDAT D'ORTIGE - Gave a very good account here last month. Has a superb entry and should be good enough to finish in the mix Summary (10) VALOKAJA HINDO has thrived since leaving Norway and joining Jean- Michel Bazire's yard. After four straight wins - most recently in style over shorter

12 on the main track - he looks eminently capable of making it five on the trot. After an easy freshener at Graignes three weeks ago the tough (14) COLT DES ESSARTS looks a serious rival - as does the group-winning (13) COFFEE LOOK D'EAM who has been specifically prepared for this. (11) CASTING DE CHENU produced an excellent effort to finish second in a competitive Class D here a fortnight ago and in similar form can get in on the action. 13 Race 7 1. ELLA DE BAFFAIS - Complicated filly that returned to winning ways at Graignes three weeks ago but will have her work cut out this time 2. ETOILE DU LEARD - On an excellent run since the autumn but takes a hike in class and unlikely to shake things up 3. ECLIPSE DESBOIS - Filly with bags of talent but has a temperament. Showed her form here despite the sanction last time and with Raffin at the helm could well win this 4. EAST ROAD - Pleased more than once over the autumn but lacklustre in last two and must show improvement 5. ELODY DE PERVENCHE - Just one blip on her card since starting to race unshod behind but finds herself in better company here and chances limited 6. ECLIPSE DU NOYER - Blows hot and cold but reassured in a Class E over track and trip two weeks ago and will not be available at 67-1 this time around 7. EMOTTA - Took little time getting back to her best. Has never shown much liking for Vincennes but in present condition is hard to ignore 8. EDNA DE FEUGERES - Good consistent servant that pleased on lone appearance at the venue and in current form can play a small role 9. ELEGANZA FAC - Solid type that won in good order over track and trip nine days ago. Steps up in class but a leading contender all the same 10. ESTRELLA JYL - Useful sort that likes Vincennes but unraced since August and will need the outing 11. ELEGANTE DELO - No slouch when applied but comes here on the back of four straight sanctions and will not be easy to trust 12. ENERGIE D'ECHAL - Clearly capable and proven under these conditions. Disappointing last time but Bazire has faith in her and if focused can make the frame 13. EVITA PERON - Sanctioned on lone appearance on the short course but gave a fine account here three weeks ago and should have a good hand to play 14. ECLIPSE D'AUVRECY - Just one win in 28 but has merit. Reassured on the main track earlier in the month and will have her supporters 15. EGERIE D'ALOUETTE - Useful sort that was not disgraced on comeback recently. Is barefoot for the first time and should logically show improvement Summary (3) ECLIPSE DESBOIS may not be everyone's cup of tea but her quality is not in

14 doubt and if Raffin can keep her in stride she can impose. Failing that the baton will fall to (9) ELEGANZA FAC who won smartly over course and distance on reentry. After a solid comeback at Laval last month (12) ENERGIE D'ECHAL failed to run to her mark here next time but Bazire has maintained faith and must be taken seriously. (13) EVITA PERON is in her category and can get in on the action. Selections (3) ECLIPSE DESBOIS - (9) ELEGANZA FAC - (12) ENERGIE D'ECHAL - (13) EVITA PERON

15 Race 8 1. FANNY DE L'OISON - Solid sort that never disappointed here. Gave an excellent account in a Mauquenchy Class A last time and looks a serious contender 2. FEERIE WOOD - Very disappointing all year and given the yard's form will have little to offer 3. FAMILOTE - Won her last two over track and trip. Steps up in class but has earned her place here and should give an honest account 4. FABULEUSE ADEMA - Faithful campaigner for the most part but tends to show more in the claiming division these days and others preferred 5. FYLLA DU GOUTIER - Showed considerable promise early on but went into her break on a low note. Unseen since June and no threat 6. FRAMBOISE - Respectable but no champion. Prefers the long course and not a priority 7. FLORA QUICK - Quality filly that has nothing to prove under these conditions. Comes here fresh and can strike again 8. FLORENCE BOURBON - Won her first four before being beaten by (10) FEEN DU GOUTIER here late November but is the superior filly and can turn the tables. Place prospect 9. FRANCE VOIRONS - Just one win to her name but showed marked improvement on the long corse last time. Has a good record over track and trip and must be respected 10. FEEN DU GOUTIER - Useful type that imposed on only start over the distance here. Headed (8) FLORENCE BOURBON last time and should not be far off the mark 11. FAMILLE ROYALE - Useful type taking her first steps over the distance here. Drops in class after a modest comeback and should not be underestimated 12. FAIRY WHITE - Just one win in 20 starts but has twice placed in four attempts under these conditions. Outsider nonetheless Summary Twice a winner from three over course and distance (7) FLORA QUICK most recently gave an excellent account behind the good French Man and after a short breather returns to the capital with every chance of imposing. Gelormini will however want to be wary of the in-form and ultra-consistent (1) FANNY DE L'OISON who is also confirmed under these conditions. (8) FLORENCE BOURBON only tasted defeat for the first time three weeks ago and although untried beyond 2150m still appears to have a good hand to play. (9) FRANCE

17 Race 9 1. FIRELLO - Good future prospect that was unchallenged on Vincennes debut two weeks ago. Climbs the class ladder but a major player all the same 2. FRAGONARD DELO - Complicated individual that has never taken to these conditions and even with Goop in the wagon can be ruled out 3. FLASH DE VOUEDE - Hardy colt that was not afforded a run here earlier in the month. Drops back in class and should be able to get in on the action 4. FAKIR GRIFF - Decent trotter that regularly gives his best account. Left regrets under the saddle recently and will be one to note 5. FORBAN - Handy sort that has won over track and trip but in this category will have his work cut out 6. FREDO GRIFF - Useful sort that showed improvement here late last month. Takes on some better horses though and chances limited 7. FRESNEAUX - Quality individual dropping back in category after a modest 5th to Feliciano in a Gr.2 three weeks ago and can make the frame this time 8. FALCO SOMOLLI - As consistent as they come since his first steps on the track. Unseen since late August though and a minor place chance at best 9. FACETIEUX - Undeniably capable and confirmed under these conditions but below-par here last time and must raise his game 10. FAKIR DE MAHEY - Serious colt that has won four of the six races he has finished. Pleased on comeback last month and looks the one to beat 11. FOR YOU MADRIK - Good consistent type when applied. Appreciates Vincennes and can play a small role Summary A colt that has shown significant class to date (10) FAKIR DE MAHEY gave a fine account behind Fun Quick on re-entry last month. He won his only race over course and distance and once again looks the pick of the field. (1) FIRELLO has shown considerable promise since his successful debut and after imposing with ease on the long course two weeks ago steps up in class with justified ambition. The Martens brothers have opted for this race ahead of the Criterium des 3 Ans and the decision should logically pay dividends. (3) FLASH DE VOUEDE drops in class after a moderate Gr.3 effort and looks more competitive this time. Selections (10) FAKIR DE MAHEY - (1) FIRELLO - (7) FRESNEAUX - (3) FLASH DE

19 Race COCO DE ROCHA - Quality trotter with a good ridden record. Encouraged on comeback here last weekend and can go closer this time 2. CREPE DE SATIN - Serious mare that has demonstrated good aptitude for the specialty. Benefits from a weight allowance and can make the frame 3. BRAINSTORM - Mixes the good with the less good but showed progress under these conditions recently and can make the first five 4. CARLA DU CHATELET - Hardy mare that has won her last two here - including over course and distance. Is well off at the weights and the three-timer looks well within her reach 5. CABAN PRIOR - Classy campaigner that seldom disappoints in the ridden code. Showed toughness and courage to win a competitive Class B last month and can repeat 6. CODIE DE BEAULIEU - Useful on a good day but has no love for these conditions and in current form will have little to offer 7. A MERY DE CHAHAINS - Previously a good sort but has placed just once all season and will have few friends 8. BILOOKA DU BOSCAIL - Not seen very often in the discipline but seldom disappoints when applied and should not be underestimated Summary Simply superb over recent months (4) CARLA DU CHATELET has won three of her last four and her recent victory over track and trip was eye-catching. She goes barefoot with a weight allowance again and can pull off the hat-trick. That being said (5) CABAN PRIOR is seldom bested in this discipline and his recent Class B success augurs well for his chances. (2) CREPE DE SATIN returns to the code following some moderate harness efforts and should appreciate these conditions. Not once out of the first five in this branch of the business (1) COCO DE ROCHA looks to have a decent chance of picking up some prizemoney. ENDRIX BLEU - Won at Vitre in October and second at Amiens lastest. Ideally drawn behind the autostart 2. EL FUEGO DE BEZ - All best form has come under the saddle. Fifth at Saint- Brieuc last January in only completed harness race 3. EMIR DU PASSAGE - A win and four places when going left-handed. Ninth of 14 at Meslay-du-Maine in only previous run going this way 4. ELIGO DE LOUP - Five places from 27 races but yet to win. Fourth of 14 at Nantes last Monday 5. EDITEUR LA RAVELLE - A win and two places last spring. Hasn't been seen since the start of July 6. EXEL D'EPUISAY - 23-race maiden. Third at Blain-Bouvron-Le Gavre in September. Just gets in under earnings ceiling for this race 7. EROIK SPECIAL - Broke duck at Amiens in May. Sent off at 295/1 latest when breaking stride here on November ESCROC DE VILLABON - Not out of the first five in four races when barefoot - including a win at Aix-les-Bains and a second at Saint-Galmier latest. Remains barefoot 9. ESPRIT DE JIEL - Only podium finish from 11 outings came when second at Strasbourg in September 10. ELEGANT DES ILES - One placing from 11 races and took sequence of disqualifications to six at Argentan on November EOLE FLIGNY - Has shown some abilty when completing - fourth at Cabourg latest - but disqualifed more often than not 12. ENVOL FLEURI - Runner-up twice last April. Not on the podium since. Sixth of 13 at Maure-de-Bretagne on December EOLE DERRO - Third at Alencon in May. Disqualified in last two races. Debut for new trainer on first run since September

21 Summary (8) ESCROC DE VILLABON could be the answer in the opener. Jean Boillereau's colt was only beaten by one rival at Saint-Galmier and remains barefoot for this engagement. The main threat may emanate from Amienssecond (1) ENDRIX BLEU who starts from pole position behind the autostart. (6) EXEL D'EPUISAY is only 15 euros shy of the earnings limit for this contest. EL PASO ELDE - Third at Lignieres before scoring at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat last month. Should go close from a good draw 3. EL PACO - Third three times this term. Disqualified in two of last three outings 4. EMPEREUR DU SURF - Only win gained at La Roche-sur-Yon in June last year. Fifth of 13 at Maure-de-Bretagne earlier this month 5. EMPEREUR DE FAEL - First run since mid-september when fifth of 14 at Nantes last Wednesday 6. EL PASO DE L'OCEAN - Doubled career tally at Cholet at the end of September.
