At the catching pen ANGEL GEAR (4) eased off the heels of MEERKAT WARRIOR (7). Past the catching pen ANGEL GEAR (4) then came together with JIMARY PRINCESS (5) losing momentum. In the back straight MR GAMBLER (3) galloped on the heels of BOKARM NORA (2). MR GAMBLER (3) loses momentum momentarily. MR GAMBLER (3) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon with no injury apparent. BLUE MAX (5) and TRANQUIL INVADER (8) then come together. At the catching pen BLUE MAX (5) shifts down whilst at the same time TRANQUIL TRIGGER (2) shifts up. OH SO FABIO (4) is squeezed for room and all are inconvenienced, losing considerable momentum. Exiting the back straight BLUE MAX (5) shifts down, checking TRANQUIL TRIGGER (2) who loses momentum. Entering the home straight on the first occasion MISS STOSUR (9) got to the front and led for the remainder of the event. Approaching the home turn on the last occasion HIM THE MASTER (1) making ground gallops on the heels of MISS STOSUR (9) and loses momentum. KINGSBRAE MARTHA (2) shifted up early and raced tight with BLONDE GIFT (4) to the catching pen where BLONDE GIFT (4) comes together with KINGSBRAE CAROL (6). In the back straight BERGERAC (4) shifts down and bumps TERRA TORRA (2). Both lose momentum. BLACK TAPPER (2) collided with SENORITA DUDE (3) and becomes completely unbalanced. COUNTRY GRENADE (6) is squeezed between KINGSBRAE GRANMA (7) and SENORITA DUDE (3) and loses considerable momentum. At the catching pen SENORITA DUDE (3) shifted down and again checked BLACK TAPPER (2), who is again very unbalanced. SENORITA DUDE (3) stumbles and loses ground. Past the catching pen CLASSY FLASH (4) shifted down and checked BLACK TAPPER (2) once again. BLACK TAPPER (2) falters and drops to the rear and does not complete the event. BLACK TAPPER (2) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and found to be suffering a Nearside back muscle injury.
