Donald Shirington, trainer of both greyhounds has been made subject of inquiry, for his conduct in the kennel area. Acting under GAR rule 92 (5) (c), Mr Shirvington license has been suspended, pending the outcome of the inquiry. Stewards had concerns with how truly STIFLER S MOM (4) was racing in the home straight, when the greyhound shifted in towards MISS BRISTLE (6) and shortened stride when passing MISS BRISTLE (6). Therefore; STIFLER S MOM S (4) performance was deemed unsatisfactorily. After attempting to clear a marring endorsement from The Gardens. Approaching the first turn, DOUBLE BUXTON (5), ANGEL S SHARE (6), DYNA ZULTAN (7) and FLASH AS EVELYN (8) came together, causing DYNA ZULTAN (7) to fall. RAPID TRIGGA (3) shifted out on the home turn, checking off the back of BOWLS AND HOLES (4), causing TAMAAR TUX (1) to check.
