3 RACE REPORTS RACE 1 CLARENCE VALLEY SHEDS STAKES 5 TH GDE - 305M TICKET BOY (2), ISLAND FANTASY (3) and INCANDESCENT (7) were slow to begin. INCANDESCENT (7) commenced to lose ground on the turn off the back straight, before finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of INCANDESCENT (7) revealed the greyhound had dropped the offside pin muscle and connections were issued a 28- day incapacitation certificate. COMPLETE RUN ON ¾ x NK 17:47 (3:13) RACE 2 AUSTRALIAN HOTEL MAIDEN - 305M BREAK MOUNTAIN (8) was very slow to begin. LITTLE GESTURE (3) checked ADONIA CRUZ (2) on the first turn, severely checking FOLLOW THE GOLD (5) and checking MEG GRIFFIN (6) and DRY START (7). RACE 3 VILLAGE GREEN HOTEL STAKES 5 TH GDE - 407M INSPECTOR CLOUD (5) was slow to begin. RAY S PICK (3) checked SISTER BOO (4), shortly after the start. RANA TORO (1) checked off the heels of INSPECTOR CLOUD (5) on the first turn and raced wide, checking MRS. DEEKS (2), RAY S PICK (3), SISTER BOO (4) and KINETIC KING (6). As a result of this incident, RANA TORO (1) lost valuable ground. A post race veterinary examination of RANA TORO (1) revealed the greyhound had injured its offside hind leg and connections were issued a 14-day incapacitation certificate. KINETIC KING (6) was examined by the club s veterinary surgeon after the event and no injury was found. COMPLETE RUN ON ½ x 2 ¼ 23:24 (8:58) RACE 4 SEDGERS REEF HOTEL MAIDEN - 407M MISTER SISTER (3) and COUNTRY FLASH (9) were slow to begin. On the first turn, COUNTRY JANE (4) and COUNTRY FLASH (9) came together, causing COUNTRY JANE (4) to lose ground and HARPER CLOUD (1) raced wide. COMPLETE RUN ON ½ x 3 ½ 23:13 (8:57)
4 RACE 5 ILUKA BOWLS CLUB STAKES M2/M3-407M ROYAL ROWDY (1) and BATTLEFRONT (6) were slow to begin. ARTIC STAR (5) checked PUCKER UP CHUCK (3) on the first turn. Shortly after, the greyhound concern to lose ground before finishing last. A post race veterinary examination of PUCKER UP CHUCK (3) revealed the greyhound had dropped the offside pin muscle and connections were issued a 28- day incapacitation certificate. COMPLETE RUN ON X 2 ¾ 23:20 (8:55) CLASS OF MAGIC (4) was locked up at the direction of stewards, for a urine RACE 6 GRAFTON DISTRICT SERVICES CLUB STAKES 4/5 TH GDE - 480M PRICE RISE (5) was slow to begin. RAY MAN (4) and BLUE RANGER (7) had to check, on the turn into the back straight. PUMA CLOUD (1), I M A BELIEVER (2) and ORARA NORM (6) came together on the first turn, causing I M A BELIEVER (2) and ORARA NORM (6) to lose ground. As a result of this incident, PRICE RISE (5), BLUE RANGER (7) and AWESOME CLOUD (8) had to check. I M A BELIEVER (2) was examined by the club s veterinary surgeon after the event and no injury was found. RACE 7 PUBS AND CLUBS CUP FINAL 5 TH GDE - 407M ALDERSEA (3) and WESTERN ROSE (8) were slow to begin. WHERES THE DRYVA (1), STUART S STAR (2), ALDERSEA (3), DUNILLER (7) and WESTERN ROSE (8) came together on the first turn, all having to check and lose valuable ground. Worst affected were STUART S STAR (2) and ALDERSEA (3). WESTERN ROSE (8) hampered WHERES THE DRYVA (1) on the home turn.
