Veterinary examination of the greyhound prior to marshalling revealed that the greyhound was fit to run. BIG MISCHIEF [3] and MCMARVELLOUS [7] dwelt at the start. KAZMIC S MARINER [1] checked ARICA DORA [5] in the run to the first turn, with ARICA DORA [5] losing ground. HOTTIE DOS [7] checked KOMODO [8] in turn out of the back straight, with KOMODO [8] losing ground. Veterinary examination of MAKE IT PLAY [4] revealed no apparent injury. SHUFFLES [3] lost ground in turn into the back straight and continued to lose ground in the back straight, failing to finish. ELAIN ELLEN [8] checked heels KAZMIC S FLASH [1] in home turn. CAWBOURNE DEBBIE [2] marred WEONA BANQUET [6] in turn into home straight and approaching the finish line. Veterinary examination of KAZMIC S FLASH [1] revealed no apparent injury. Veterinary examination of MR. SHUFFLES [3] revealed a fractured offside hock. No Incapacitation Certificate was issued due to severity of the injury. Stewards interviewed connections of the greyhound CAWBOURNE DEBBIE [2] regarding the greyhounds actions in the turn into the home straight and approaching the finish line. After viewing the video replay of this event Stewards advised connections that they believe the greyhound did turn it s head inwardly in the home straight and approaching the finish line, make head or muzzle contact with WEONA BANQUET [6]. Connections agreed with stewards observations. Stewards subsequently issued the greyhound CAWBOURNE DEBBIE [2] with a ticket for Marring in accordance with GAR69 (1)(a). As this is the greyhound s 2nd Offence it is now suspended from racing at all tracks for a period of 3 months days and until the completion of a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR72. ARIEK TYSON [2] and HOW ABOUT GORBY [3] came together in the run to the first turn. ARIEK TYSON [2] checked heels of MY MUM TOKEN [1] in first turn, with MY MUM TOKEN [1] checking BRANDI ALLEN [6] and HAYLEY S MY MUM [8], causing MY MUM TOKEN [1] to lose ground, checking LOCOMOTION KYLIE [7], resulting in LOCOMOTION KYLIE [7] falling and failing to finish.
